SIRcumalot: I don be great admirer of this adama traore tay-tayand the last time I mention am here. You guys said his decision making is suspect. I think he has fixed that part. He won't be in wolves for long if he continues like this. Very poor decision making normally, but this season he has improved dramatically in that aspect. He still needs to improve on that as well as his final ball and finishing, but the potential is really high. |

ChristineC: Valencia wasn't much of a dribbler but he was a menace to any LB. Dan James isn't experienced at this level that's why I'm not saying much on his display but I like his work ethic, and that's a big plus for his development. let's move past it, perhaps the future will reveal more to us.
what was your take on our last game and why do you think we managed to score four times after going one down? for me it was a far better movement in the final third. Martial especially was willing to commit to the press and the midfield/defense pushed forward to create bodies for the pass. I thought that was kind of a new demand on the whole team and also the major reason we were vulnerable to counters early in the game before they managed to balance it out. The team knew they needed to play well considering their last performance and so were up for it. Also Newcastle were pretty poor defensively when they didn't have the ball and they also gifted us 2 goals. I am not sure much can be taken from that performance considering the team has blown hot and cold all season. MAYBE AWB getting an assist, Greenwood getting a goal, and Fred continuing to improve (although he lost the ball leading to the Newcastle goal). |

Oasis007: To some extent, I believe AWB can stop him. He's good at dispossessing his Opponent with slide Tackling, thus I believe he's gonna be difficult for Adama to dribble/pass him anyhow. If AWB shuts Traore down i won't be surprised, and if Traore is the first forward to disgrace AWB i won't surprised either. |

Chrisus: No lies... Adama possesses the skillset to easily go past Bissaka, that guy dey dribble.
But then, Wan Bissaka is nicknamed 'Spider' for a reason He can always make recovery tackles with those his long legs.
Plus, he's no pushover physically. So, I believe he can hold Adama down. With support from the RW He is quick and he is strong. It would be difficult for one man to shut him down all game. Adama in the past was the one shutting himself down with poor decisions. If it is about dribbling a player, that one is just a simple sturvs for him. AWB though is quite good defensively and normally times his tackles well and makes better recovery runs than Fat Luke. Summary is that Adama vs AWB is better for my heart than Adama vs Shaw. |

Chrisus: Do you believe Wan Bissaka can stop Adama? Interesting question. The advantage is always with the attacker because he only needs to beat the defender 1 or 2 times to inflict damage, whereas the defender has to be perfect all game. Having said that 1v1 AWB is a defensive beast. I won’t bet against him in a duel with any forward in the EPL. |

ChristineC: I'm not saying he's not a good footballer but looking at the team, pace isn't in short supply. Dan James has been too fast for our players so far, supplying crosses into the 6 yard box our strikers can't meet. when teams park the bus, the pace becomes a little useless and that grace or refinement on the ball becomes necessary. for me I'm thinking a guy like Bernardo Silva will do us much good. Pace is not what makes Adama dangerous. His pace helps but it is actually his dribbling ability that sets up the space for him to run into, unlike James who has to pass back to AWB every time he is closed down. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 8:00am On Dec 28, 2019 |
ChristineC: a return to Barca? that's not happening. I doubt the stats support your assertion of being the best dribbler in the league. I still don't see him as what our team need, and no I don't see him as any improvement either.
I saw your Mane reference earlier. Mane scored 31 in 63 at age 21/22, that 1 in 2 give or take. I don't know about Adammadu's career till this point but he's 23. Don't get me wrong tho, I like his pace and pawa. Check the stats, i doubt if you will get a better stat in the league. He is averaging 4.9 dibbles per game. For comparison Rashford is averaging 1.8 per game, Martial 1.7per game, and Jame just 1 per game. Traore makes more successful dribbles per game than our entire attack COMBINED.This guy is way better than James and it is not even close. He has speed that is slightly less than James but way more skill and power. He will definitely be an improvement on a player that is useless against deep lying defences because of his inability to dribble. Mane was scoring those goals in the Austrian League. Not saying Traore will become as good as him, but context is important. Olanrewaju Kayode was top scorer in that league 3 seasons ago. |

Apart from being really fast, Adama Traore dribbles better than anybody in the league. He is not a unidirectional speed merchant like Daniel James. Only his iffy decision making is preventing him from blowing like Opa6ix and possibly returning to his old team Barca. |

Odoi with 180k/week is not overrated but needs to go on loan but its Sancho with 20+ g/a in back to back seasons that is overrated and na agemates them be o. E shock you? Na so dem dey do na. Because he is their youth product they will not agree. The Pulisic who is forming chairman for Sergeant CHO now used to be Sancho’s boy o, but no Sancho is overrated and CHO has a great future. The only correct argument against Sancho is that because of his hood background he might have some disciplinary issues (a few of which have already been revealed). |

Meanwhile those duds wey de laugh doc when he said the Black Robin Van Pepper is the biggest talent amongst dis current group of u21 stars, are now all looking like wetin i no even know.
maybe them need video evidence too My broda, i gave them video evidence o. But dey prove stubborn pass you sef. I followed this current youth set up in England closely (at least the boys in the big clubs) and it was accepted that Sancho was the best player of the set of Nelson, Gomes, Foden, Sergeant CHO, Brewster etc. Brahim Diaz was very good too, but he is Spanish.. Greenwood was just a bit younger than them but he spent the year after them terrorizing the youth competitions the way only Sancho had done. Decision making and finishing is what sets Greenwood and Sancho above the other forwards/wingforwards in the group, because both of them lost a bit of pace as they moved to the senior ranks. CHO is faster and stronger than both, but plays like a boy picked from a sand field on the outskirts of Kumasi. |
