codedguy1: I don't even see any leadership quality in the Maguire sef.
Within the 5months he has been here has he even shown any thing that remotely depict being a leader?
No be him forget say him be captain again?
True that, but there are many ways to be a leader that might not be apparent to the outside observer. Not everybody is like Roy Keane or Puyol. The way he conducts himself in training and generally off the field counts too.
McTominay is the one with the obvious traits in the squad but i don't think he needs that added pressure now. Let Young, DDG, Maguire, Pogba be rotating amongst themselves for now. Tuanzebe and Brandon Williams are natural born leaders too but who knows if they will even make it in the club in terms of quality.
Leyqute: I think something else is going on behind the doors re Pogba that we don’t know.
And OGS won’t allow you get a hint cos he’ll mask everything in his pressers with his face and mouth.
The guy said there is no evidence that Pogba's heart is not here, then went on to acknowledge that there is a video which shows Pogba saying he wants to leave. I can't can bro. I just can't.
izzou: I'm not sure being a captain has anything to do with time spent in the club.
I don't know how the coach allocates it, but repeatedly, new players have gotten the band in football.... VVD is not the third oldest player in the squad
I'm sure if Ramos comes to United today, he'll be assistant captain at most. I don't know how's it's decided sha
There are no rules. It just comes down to overall leadership ability in most cases. Tony Adams became Arsenal captain at 21 and Ray Wilkins became Chelsea captain at 18.
patrickmuf: From what I read, he can play as CAM too. That's where I'd consider him.
This is his first Serie A season, he is averaging less than 28 passes per game, less than 80% pass accuracy and 1 through pass every 10 games according to whoscored. If Ed Wayward replaces Pogba with this guy at CAM Fenibeso and Sopona hybrid thunder will strike him.
There is NOTHING special in his stats or highlights. He can try again when he is more mature in 4 years time and is exceptional in a particular position, not hearsay that he can play this or that role.
Even Fred has stepped up. He is now looking like a 30m player instead of a free transfer, though it took almost 18 months.
If we are to do anything this season McTom-Fred base in midfield would be important with McTom being the key. If an inspired and fit Pogba joins them we might have an outside shot at top 4.
Leyqute: Away from this prospect, did you see Dan James take defenders on against Tottenham?
Do you have any hope for this boy?
I think he still hasn’t perfected his decision making and he kinda rushes his chances. But looks like he could be a decent player for us.
As a RWF he is currently at squad player level for a top team. Should not be a starter for us but he has shown improvement in terms of him running at defenders and trying to deliver good quality low balls across the box. As a LWF he would most likely always be poor though. He is just not skilled enough.
patrickmuf: True, I didn't see enough videos of him in tight spaces to know how comfortable he is with the ball.
He has got an eye for the pass tho.

As a RWF he does not have enough pace for me. Eye for a pass is one thing but in the EPL you need to be able to dribble and outrun quick full backs. If you doubt me ask Juan Mata.
