Anyway, Perreira has been impressive in the no 6 role so far. Him, Chong and recently, Sanchez has been our best players in preseason. Shame on Herrera, Shaw, Martial et al.
Prof, no be you talk say you no see wetin Pereira dey play? Just dis week sef, now you talk say e bin dey impress you? you be ogbonge o.
raumdeuter: You are not paying attention, Stay focused.
How is the treatment of KdB different from that of Martial. KdB has proven to be one of the best players in the world while Oscar the Mourinho favourite is battling shaolin masters in Chinkotown
Nihilstjnr: Which one of KDB or Salah has Mourinho decided to sign back?
Not knocking Lukak's hustle or his ministry, but this is what we know: Whenever JM has to choose between the player with the greater talent, potential and overall skill set and the ready made player with more limited upside he goes for the latter e.g Torres instead of Lukaku, Oscar instead of KDB, Willian instead of Salah, and now full circle back to Lukaku instead of Martial.
raumdeuter: Bayern is dashing people jobs even Klose that just retired has gotten a job with Bayern, Gerd Muller that went to alcohol rehab was given a job, No one gives Matthaus anything
I didnt even see this. It is well known that Mathaus has been abandoned by the German football establishment and whatever he does is backpage news. Also he does not presently represent Germany in competition.
Nihilstjnr: Because he is too much of a Bayern supporter according to him.
In any case, I was talking in terms of football achivements
Bayern sef no want am, not on their bench and not in their boardroom.
Absolute football great, but like has been alluded to earlier he is yesterday's man. Ozil was either politically and socially tone deaf or just plain naive.
And at the root of all this is not race or religion, but the power dynamic between Putin and the West compared to that between Erdogan and the West.
Nihilstjnr: Ozil cam only dream having Mathaus's status in german or world football...even if he has 2 careers.
Matthaus is on the level of them Zidane, De Lima, Maradona etc.
And he's cavorting around with Putin to very little noise.
Maradona that unjustly got Argentine national team job and then used them to play Russian roulette with his friend Martin Palermo at the world cup AND is still worshipped back home. Mathaus that has been begging UNSUCCESSFULLY to get a job coaching a German CLUB side for the last decade.
Nihilstjnr: Ozil cam only dream having Mathaus's status in german or world football...even if he has 2 careers.
Matthaus is on the level of them Zidane, De Lima, Maradona etc.

Actually the German people and their football world have pretty much given up on Mathaus. He is not as respected as you would think. In fact considering his achievements and influence on the German national team, he is barely reckoned with back home. He is an oxymoron, a football legend who is also a nonentity.
Nihilstjnr: I compared Rashford under Mourinho to Mbappe who is not under Mourinho.
Martial and Lukaku are both under Mourinho. Infact Mourinho has previously sacked Lukaku at a former job.
He met Martial and balked at the idea of having the fraud lead the line for him. First he took his number 9 shirt, then he ran back to his vomit and slurped it with ice.
Can you also compare Oscar and KDB under Mourinho for us, or compare Willian and Salah under Mourinho or even Lukaku and your pick of Torres/Eto'o/Demba Ba under Mourinho?
While the specifics are a bit different there is a common thread running through both your view on Mourinho and Dayo's, and that is Mourinho finds it difficult to identify or appreciate real world class technical talent even if the talent wore a neon jacket with a fluorescent head band both of which proclaimed "I am a real world class technical talent, i swear to God".
raumdeuter: That is why someone a few days ago called him the grim reaper of football talent. Can you guess who the poster is?
I am not sure but that looks like Nihilist handwriting. Walahi you are right, if Nihillist avoid Ijora-Badia police station e no fit avoid Ewekoro for Ogun State.
weedtaker: Bobby was the real deal, recently knew he was a midfied player seff, always taught he was a forward, that goal against mexico for world na blast. maybe if de bruyne uses more of his weaker foot he'll be the okrika version Lol
Yes KDB came to mind, but it will have to be an okrika version like you said.
dopeJemi: Liverpool fan you are Why for goodness sake? Well, feel free to post here anytime you wish, though we hate the scousers, only doing this because I assume you are Beautiful
weedtaker: afrodoc no like herrera just 4get the matter.
Herrera is my person na, just that i am not a heretic.....i still believe in Lord Kante even though his powers are waning, i am a Kantelic.
Meanwhile wish we could clone Bobby Charlton. where can you get a midfielder that glides past opponents with effortless ease, blasts long range shots from distance with both right and left foot, sprays cross field passes with both right and left foot? When you watch the right footed rockets and laser passes, remember that was his weaker foot.
weedtaker: Lol shebi you were the one that said if deschamp has any iota of sense or courage pogba should not be in france starting 11 Lol Ekpa!
Pogba redeemed himself in the knockout stages and about time as well after stinking up the joint during the Euros and early stages of the world cup. He became less flashy and more purposeful in his play, worked hard for the team with and without the ball and there was the glaring lack of ridiculous hair styles and colours for the France matches. I wish he brings that to the United team so we can get the best out of him.
weedtaker: rubbish, herrera destroyed kante that year i challenge you to bring out any type of stats wey you wan bring and see who will come out on top, na the league wey leicester and chelsea win help him ministry,
and if herrera is technically limited i wonder which one kante be.
pogbooom don shame many pple, na once them face herrera wey no the even feature regularly again for us again.
You are not making sense, and you never make sense, but then again you are a weedtaker so no surprises there.
In my opinion, Lukaku is a CF while Martial is a LWF. Who JM likes or does not like is not a good litmus test to use, the guy didn't like KDB or Salah but liked Oscar and Willian. Just saying.
Meanwhile Coogar that you quoted has several Ls waiting from him in Hades. The guy once said Bebe and either Valencia or Young were better than Beckham and certain people here were nodding like agama lizard.
Nihilstjnr: what does technical limitation have to do with goalscoring?
Why is the technical master at home scratching his balls while Jambody matuidi played his wing in a WC final?
And don't even say, you didn't see the other name your people said Ayinde was better than
1) The comparison was about overall play not just goal scoring ability. But i agree Lukaku is definitely doing better now, nobody factored Martial's fragile psyche and JM's talent erasing coaching technique in the equation.
2) The fact that Dembele and Lemar both of whom were more suited to the left wing role were glued to the bench than Matuidi tells you that was more about Deschamp and his cowardly approach than Martial (even though JM did his best to ensure Martial did not make the world cup).
3) The jury is still out on these guys, still early days but i always rated Kane and Lukaku as well.
P.S Just cos of this world cup issue, i don't think there is anyway BOTH JM and Martial are at United next season.
Nihilstjnr: Shebi Its on this same thread we heard that Martial was better than Lukaku and Kane.
To be fair Lukaku is almost 3 yrs older and is still technically limited. Right now he is better than Martial but the jury is still out on them ESPECIALLY if Martial escapes the clutches of JM. Herrera on the other hand is about to enter his football dotage as a hardworking midfielder.
SIRcumalot: The season we made this comparison the gap wasnt so huge. I swear!
Which season was that? The one in which he was the best (or at worst top 3) player in a Leicester side that won the league or the next season when he was the midfield engine as Chelsea regained the league, or last season in which Herrera inundated us with crappy performances?
eph12: The comparison was made that year na, not today. Who is saying that today?
The comparison was always ridiculous, that year, this year and every year in between. Herrera is as technically limited a Spanish midfielder as I have seen in years, just using ishan (muzu) and egun ori a.k.a pari to cover up his limitations.
Anyway Chong, Gomes, Greenwood and the rest of the really good prospects are with the senior team. Don't let Gomes, Chong etc fool you, our academy and reserves have a good number of mediocre players IMO.
