DrGoodman: Too many children here
Obiano and Obi his mentor are on the same page on everything. Anambra ppl are educated and will vote Obi to the last man. All Igbos too. Stop listening to nonsense news. Why then did Obiano reject Ohanaeze's endorsement of Atiku if he's on the same page with his 'mentor'? Look, it's an open-secret that there's still an ongoing cold-war between Obiano and his former godfather. You can pretend all you want that it isn't so but that's the truth. |

Yyeske: I have same feeling here too, the OP was balanced in his analysis but I think the real battlegrounds would be Benue, Plateau and Taraba states in the north, the remaining 16 states and FCT would go for Buhari. For the south, the SW and Edo are going for Buhari, the rest of the SS and SE will go for Atiku. There could be some surprises in Anambra, Delta, Imo and Akwa Ibom though because PDP could still win but the margin between it and APC will be low. Anambra election in particular will be very interesting because I have a feeling that even though Atiku will win the state, PDP may not be allowed to have a field day rigging the state like they did in 2015 because APGA will neutralize that because Obiano has showed that he's not afraid to maintain his independence. Even today, the state isn't as fired up as one would have expected even with Obi on the ticket. Atiku will definitely win the state but it may not be by as much as many people think. |

It is clear at this point that PDP lacks confidence in the credibility of the electoral process, and nothing short of them being allowed to perhaps handpick their preferred INEC chairman, IGP, and CJN would assuage them. So why not kukuma boycott the elections? Because they certainly won't accept any outcome that does not favour them. Infact, they are going about as if they've already won the election even before it takes place, but aren't sure whether to go through the process or not. Very confused bunch if you ask me.

GEJ had a better chance of beating Buhari in Lagos yet he failed, but somehow your delusional mind still leads you into thinking that under a Buhari presidency in an APC controlled Lagos, your Atiku would still win the state. I just hope that for your own good you know how to handle the excruciating agony of defeat that comes with the level of misguided confidence you are parading. Politics › Akinlade Accuses Amosun Of Leaving Ogun Hopeless For Next Administration by afroniger(op): 8:46pm On Feb 08, 2019 |
http://thenationonlineng.net/akinlade-accuses-amosun-of-leaving-ogun-hopeless-for-next-administration/Ernest Nwokolo, Abeokuta, February 8, 2019
Governor Ibikunle Amosun's preferred governorship candidate, Hon. Abdulkabir Akinlade on Friday couldn’t help indicting his godfather of being unable to uplift residents of Ogun state significantly.
The governor, he said, was leaving the state hopeless for the next administration.
He lamented all he saw during his campaign tour of 211wards out of the 236 wards in the state was “hopelessness of people.”
Akinlade, who is the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) gubernatorial candidate, a party largely enjoying steady support from Amosun at the expense of the the All Progressives Congress (APC), described the people’s situation as that of “hopelessness.”

The House of Representatives member representing Yewa South and Ipokia Federal Constituency made the comment while fielding questions at the just- concluded BBC Yoruba gubernatorial debate at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library(OOPL), Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
The APM candidate, who was aide to Amosun on Revenue matters during his first term in office, made the comment in Yoruba to the consternation of the audience at the debate considering his affinity with Amosun and his administration in the last seven years and eight months.
“I have covered 211 wards in Ogun state and have seen the hopelessness of people,” Akinlade said.
Another gubernatorial candidate at the debate, Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka of the African Democratic Congress(ADC) lauded Akinlade for speaking the truth.
Isiaka noted that on his part, he has covered the whole 236 wards about four times since 2011 and was conversant with the hopelessness of the people in the state.
This, he said, formed his quest for the governorship seat come March 2 to enable him change the narrative of the people’s situation. |

PDP should truly be ashamed of themselves. The $16-billion OBJ wastednon electricity plus the $2.5-billiion GEJ gave Dasuki to squander over his failed reelection bid would have been better appreciated by Nigerians if spent towards the same rail projects Buhari has done within just one tenure. Yet PDP wants to return to further plunder Nigeria

Politics › 2023: Igbo May Lose A Second Time – Okorocha by afroniger(op): 4:04pm On Feb 05, 2019 |
By Okodili Ndidi, Owerri
Imo State governor, Rochas Okorocha has warned that the Igbo may yet lose out in national polity if they fail to apply tact and political wisdom.
Okorocha who recalled the fate of the Ndigbo since after the civil war, lamented that they are about making similar mistakes that put Ndigbo in a disadvantaged position in the Nigerian project.
According to him, “The saying that there was no victor and no vanquished after the civil war is just a mere way to create unity for the country, otherwise the Igbo were the vanquished, ever since the Igbo has fared like the defeated but the most painful aspect is that Ndigbo are about to lose again”.
The Imo governor disclosed that the recent political upheaval in his state, were sponsored by forces outside the state, using politicians from the state to pull him down ahead 2023.
He stated that the calculation is that if he is allowed to continue gathering momentum he will give a good fight for the Igbo Presidency, adding that Ndigbo will be at the losing end if he is politically alienated.
He said “There is more to the noise you are hearing about the governorship election in Imo, it is not about Uche Nwosu, it is about a plot to stop Okorocha by all means, otherwise why will Adams Oshiomhole and Rotimi Amaechi be interested in who governs Imo. The calculation is that if Uche Nwosu becomes governor and I go to Senate, I will be a strong force by 2023. The most annoying fact is that they are using our people to pursue that agenda”.
The governor further gave reasons why he wants to go to the Senate, adding that “I want to go to Senate to remain politically relevant until 2023 and also to represent Ndigbo and the Nigerian masses”. http://thenationonlineng.net/2023-igbo-may-lose-a-second-time-okorocha/ |
