oga check my first post on this issue, i did say so called attrocities. Anyway, no one is denying the fact that some uncomfortable things were done by the militarygovt which Buhari headed and such and even worse things are expected from military govt all over the world. This is a civillian and democratic setting, and the question should be >>>>> are these things possible in this democratic setting? The answer is most likely No so please stop instilling fear on the minds of Nigerians.
Buhari might not be the saviour but is the best so far among the miserable rest
No sir you did not say 'so called'

I did not modify your post please go check. So called is an after thought. Your mind is actually telling you the truth but you choose not to listen.
PoliticsRe: Buhari Keeps mum On Underage Voters by agabaI23(op): 10:59am On Apr 07, 2011
It is actually very disheartening that the acclaimed corruption czar has seen nothing wrong in underage voting because it favours him.

Even the BB followers here have not commented because it does not matter as long as it helps their messiah win.
PoliticsBuhari Keeps mum On Underage Voters by agabaI23(op): 10:21am On Apr 07, 2011
Cases of under age registration and underage voting have been recorded in the northern states where Buhari has cult followership. I have been expecting the honourable man to condemn the act since he is going to ride the country of corruption but Buhari chose to be Wenger and Fergie who fails to see a wrong penalty incidence when it favours them. He has turned a blind eye because it will favour him. If it was in a PDP controlled states, Buhari will be the first to shout rigging a word which has formed his campaign mantra.

I was thinking that his anti-corruption fight should be all inclusive. I just remembered he showed the same bias during his term as dictator. Recently, he chose to exonerate Abacha who stole more than anybody in the history of Nigeria while busy condemning PDP for corruption.

His party is made up of PDP members who embezzled sate funds. >80% of the stalwarts were officials of the PDP. How can a holy man be associated with brigands especially people from the PDP, the keg of corruption.

He is now a beneficiary of their loots and is complicit of their crime. How can he condemn them anyway.

Buhari is a partial judge who only sees a criminal if he does not like his face. He has not changed from his dictator years. Anyway how much can a 41 year old change of his character?

The guy has a single post and so what? he is probably new here. If there is need for me to post it i will and will again as long as forum rules aint broken. I am still  asking you what you have done about the previous attrocities of Buhari that have been pasted severally. What have you said about it?
Oh mai gaskyia, your saviour, the gentle man who is so humble and unassuming perpetrated atrocities? Good morning!

He (Buhari) is one of Nigeria's most popular politicians and is perceived as being more democratic than most of Nigeria's leading politicians. If he were to win, it would be a pretty good indication that the elections were indeed free, fair and crediblel. There would be a strong emphasis on attacking corruption and that would be quite popular."- John Campbell, Former US Ambassador to Nigeria
Buhari and democracy in the same sentence. When the west wants some someone, they paint him as Jesus!

I can see the democracy overflowing in CPC with multiple court cases due to selection.

Yes that sums it up: Buhari is a bad public speaker, and Jonathan is worse.

BTW, I'm not the only Buhari supporter that admits the guy has flaws. In fact most people I've spoken to aren't so much pro-Buhari as anti-PDP. I've said before that even if the General had red eyes and horns on his head, he'll still be better that any of the worthless thieves in the ruling party including Jonathan.
Not when >80% of his party members are from the PDP.

CPC is PDP in disguise with a dictator as there leader. That makes it.

Did you see the internal wrangling we saw in PDP at the beginning?  That was the hallmark of most CPC primaries.

BTW way the worthless thieves include : Abba Ruma, CPC financier who stole Agric fund, Marwa, who was the arrowhead of Abacha's money laundering machinery, Abacha's son, Achike Udenwa who rendered Ino state impotent. . . should I continue?
You have no case!
About speaking, you believe what you want to believe but we know the truth including you.

Over zealous supporters. They make matters worse for the president who is already receiving flakes.

There is nothing wrong in the content of the commercial.

NTA stop being foolish.

It may even be sabotage who knows.

Waiting her majesty to call her by name

You have left me alone

Wide open to receive not meant to harm

i find it very ironic that a supporter of GEJ would try to castigate Buhari and have the nerves and effrontery to use words like IQ, sophistication and intellect.
Have you no shame in yourselves?
I have shame and but I have no shame in saying the truth.

Go and read the first post in this thread.

Jarus saw it and could not argue, dayokanu ignored it why? They do not wanna make fools of themselves. But you . . I am sure you have not read it. Do not let your passion blanket your wisdom. It is dangerous!

I admit that Buhari didn't do well during the NN24 debate (he was rambling and didn't answer most questions directly) but that doesn't make him incompetent.

In any case, my point is that GEJ isn't a good public speaker either. IMHO he's much worse that Buhari. He comes across as unintelligent and he keeps saying things that make no sense ("Mr. President, what is job security?"wink. If you think about the airport thing for 2 minutes, you'll realize what a monumentally stu.pid idea it is. For him to say that during a campaign rally suggests to me that he and his handlers are all less intelligent than the average Nigerian. And that doesn't inspire much confidence. Sorry.
You are the first BB supporter that accepted anything negative about him. Respect!
Buhari not better my friend.

You have accepted that he performed badly in two consecutive media appearances.
That sums it up!
You can say anything you like about GEJ some may be true but he is better than Buhari.
PoliticsRe: Did Anybody Listen To Buhari On Radio Nigeria's Programme (eagle Square)! by agabaI23(m): 12:36am On Apr 07, 2011
By the way do you now need a poor public speaker to be your president? I thought you guys will be ashamed of him?
PoliticsRe: Did Anybody Listen To Buhari On Radio Nigeria's Programme (eagle Square)! by agabaI23(m): 12:33am On Apr 07, 2011
There is a world of difference between not being a good speaker and understanding a simple question.

It did not happen only once, not twice . . .You could leave one to chance, two to coincidence but three and above is solid proof. It happened several times in NN24 debate. Asked, one question, he rabbled along the south.
Several times during the interview.

OK he is intelligent, if your son in kindergarten answers questions like that, will he ever graduate?

Building airport in every state is a proposal that could be good or bad. Not everybody accepts it not everyone rejects it.

It will be uneconomical to build an airport if there is no prospect for adequate utilization. However, if building an airport in a state will boost the economy of the state going forward, why not.

I haven't said anything. I just repeated what you said and declined to offer an opinion on the matter. I've deliberately avoided cheap insults throughout this election but I have to admit that those who have questions about GEJ's level of inteligence have reasons to worry.
And what about Buhari's intelligence? subject him to the same scrutiny you have subjected GEJ.
Start from NN24 debate to his Radio Nigeria interview. Be sincere

BTW I hate insulting people generally and you can attest to that so that makes two of us wink

You there refers to BB supporters not singular you.

And btw you have just said it. So what will you call a man that does not know why he is contesting for presidency?

why do you people insist on thinking like goats? What the hell does humility have to do with anything? According to most people Yar'Adua was humble but that didn't stop him from being a rubbish president. Maybe we should go and pull one very humble guy from under a bridge in Lagos and make him president.

Please lets argue about manifestos agendas, previous records, facts and figures. Stop talking about all this humility, simplicity or "is he God fearing nonsense".

Thank you.
You think you have any edge? You called GEJ dumbo while we were discussing issues. Now you have noticed he does not cut it speechwise. . .

@Agaba,
Seriously, why are you anti Buhari[I dont want the usual ethno-religious sentiments].
OK
EDUCATION SECTOR REFORMS

Our education system does not need any cosmetic reforms.  6-3-3-4 or 6-6-4 sounds to me like the formation of a football team. It cannot be tinkered with or amended any further along this path. The Nigerian Education system needs a root – and branch reform. Education shall be a right to all Nigerians but for a nation to develop it must get its education priorities right. Nigeria cannot become the great nation of our dream without the necessary brain power and human resources. We have no chance of becoming great if we continue to maintain an education system whereby only 20-percent of candidates pass SSCE/GCE examinations.

We are building more and more universities yet the present ones are inadequately funded to undertake learning, teaching and research. Mediocrity multiplied only produces mass mediocrity. Our aim, when in government is to adequately fund the system to produce quality education for development. Some Nigerians have wondered why we chose the pen as part of CPC logo. Truth is, the pen symbolizes our commitment to quality education and by extension knowledge, development and progress.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH

Our national economy which largely depends on crude oil exportation to earn income can only be likened to flying on a single engine aircraft with a single point of failure. The Nigeria oil money represents great foreign exchange earning potential. However, countries like Indonesia, Norway, and UAE that discovered oil have used their oil revenue to build a diversified economy.

Agriculture used to represent 80-percent of the Nigerian economy until oil was discovered in the country. Today, agriculture represents 45-percent of our economy – even at that, the impact of agriculture is hardly felt in the economy as commercial agriculture is almost non-existent, with no agricultural firm quoted in the nation’s stock exchange.

We need to encourage commercial agriculture through a well-orchestrated policy for food security and economic growth beyond the current politics of fertilizer distribution! We shall also help small farmers with petty holdings in the form of inputs and access to small scale credit.

My sister, I want you to go through those quote lifted from his Kaduna campaign speech and tell me if there is any solutions and clear road map as how he is going to fix the problems he rightly identified. We all can.

There is nothing new! He has no plan. Not only that he cannot put them in righting, during the debates, he could not answer any questions.

He had an interview with radio Nigeria where he was asked why he wants to be the president. he answered that it was because he was above a certain age as was stipulated in the constitution. He does not know why.

Now he is firmed for anticorruption crusade but I am annoyed because it is a lie.

An anti corruptions fighter should not be partial.

He threw Ekwueme into kirikiri(vice president) and placed Shagari (preisdent incharge) in a cosy Ikoyi apartment.

he said Abacha did not steal anything
His financiers were members of the PDP and >80% of his CPC members were of the PDP. I can go on.
He had no genuine impact on the economy in his first coming and he can't have now. Following his speech, he still has no clue.

Someone might choose to live of  Asceticism it is good but that does not translate to being a good leader. He could not institute discipline, he enforced discipline that was why it left with him.

And if he could not do that in military setting, with his lack of diplomacy, he cannot even thrive in democracy.

You said I should not forget ethno-religious but it is the main reason why he has followership in the north. Sectional politics is in play. the whole north is supporting him and castigating the PDP because of the zoning issue but this is trivial. if he were better, i would route for him.

Above all, he has no plans for the power sector which is very dear to me and the whole of Nigerians. he is against privatisation and that is a no no to me.

Seriously, I have so much reasons that I will keep writing if I should continue.

He is just not the best.

The guy he jailed in 1984 is his campaign DG,Ruma who embezzled the agric fund is his main financier.
If his selling point is anti corruption, how can he explain all these?
Ask me any question and i answer you but do not vite for Buhari
