I remember once when a sitting governor from a minority ethnic group was going for second term. Most people from the majority ethnic group hated him and vowed never to vote for him because the two ethnic groups are known to hate each other from time immemorial. But despite the hate that was very palpable, on the election day, there was vote buying in the capital which is populated by the majority ethnic group. They collected the money and voted for the man whom they hated so much. That is why I know that human beings cannot be taken seriously. Don't listen to what he is saying no matter how sincere he sounds. Infact from my observation since I was born, a person who acts as if he is very serious about something/project is always the first to abandon his stand particularly if the project is not his personal project. Among a thousand people, a person who is acting as if he is all for you and nothing but you, may be the first to abandon you when under threat or financial inducement. Why can't all of them stand up and fight with those terrorists. The only difference between the victims and the kidnappers is that the kidnappers are holding guns. But instead of just lying down and allow those kidnappers to shoot and kill them, it's better they die fighting. It is better they die standing. If all the victims could have heart and rise up and take those kidnappers by surprise, they may even end up killing those kidnappers. Because the way the thing is going now, the kidnappers may want to start killing them to prove a point to the government. I saw a video where some people were asked to lie down to be shot and killed. They all obeyed. Why must they obey? If you obey, they would still kill you. Why not protest and refuse to obey. Why not fight? Because anyhow they would still kill you. It is even more honorable to protest, disobey or fight them and let them kill you while you are fighting. Let them kill you while you are standing. Because anyhow, they would still kill you. My father who is a lecturer said that payment of arrears was not part of the reason for the strike. Of course he received the arrears last week. But the government is using that payment to say she has met the demands of ASUU. But the government is just being opportunistic. It is believed that the arrested Accountant General of Nigeria held onto the lecturers arrears. When he was arrested, his office immediately released the funds to avoid further problems with EFCC. The government is now catching on that to deceive Nigerians that they have met ASUU's demands. Let government please do the needful for the sake of the students so that schools can resume. 1 Like |

Maybe some people want to test different aspects of things. Most of them like good, gentle and caring guys but they want to see what is there in the bad guys. He claims to know God but he would not hesitate to abuse people who don't reason like him. He is jobless and seems to be addicted to arguments. He is very argumentative. He doesn't ever leave Nairaland because he is jobless. Imagine arguing with all people in religious section of nairaland. Even the Bible he is twisting to satisfy his argument does not encourage people to behave the way he is doing. If he were to be alive in the days of Jesus,he would be among those who would be against Jesus because of his tendency to argue and attack everybody. I believe the reason he is doing all these is frustration. Imagine staying 24 hours in nairaland arguing with all people. Even if trumpet were to sound today and Christ appear,he would still argue that it is not true. It is not important to him whether what is said is true or not. What is important to him is that he has been given an opportunity to argue. I went through his posts and I can tell you that the reason he is here is not to teach people but to argue. Even if you accept his logic,he would still press forward to argue with you on what you have accepted. You can not say "yes" to his argument because as you accept his position,he would switch and start arguing on what you have already accepted. At the end, he would contradict his earlier argument. The thing is that he always wants to be contrary to people. Accepting his position will make him to take another position so as to be contrary to you.
