Politics › Boko Haram's Threat To Capture Buhari: Defence Headquarters Reacts by agwom(op): 6:02am On Sep 15, 2016
DHQ Dismisses Boko Haram Threat Video As ‘joke’

The Defence Headquarters yesterday described as a joke and dream of the century, a threat made on the life of President Muhammadu Buhari in a new video released yesterday by Boko Haram militants.
Defence spokesman, Brigadier General Rabe Abubakar, told Daily Trust yesterday in a reaction: “The threat to President Muhammadu Buhari is a complete joke and dream of the century.”

He described the video as the actions of washouts, noting that the public had been appreciative of the achievements of the military in decimating Boko Haram.
“The only ground Boko Haram can go into, hide and pretend to be alive, is the social media, because it is everybody’s home where sources can hardly be traced. More-so, which Boko Haram, I believe the group is near ending, the video is a complete sign of weakness and poses no threat to us,” he said, adding that the video was an attempt by remnants of the group to remind the public that there were once Boko Haram elements.
Abubakar said the military was committed to wiping out remnants of the group and people shouldn’t be deceived by their use of photo shop.
In the new video released yesterday and posted on YouTube, the Boko Haram members were shown observing Eid prayers in some unidentified locations. A man who spoke in Hausa in the video said the group had not been defeated and threatened to continue their campaign.
They added: “[President] Buhari is saying that he will finish us. Let him know that before he said so, others said so before now and they couldn’t. So Buhari saying that he will finish us, he should know that by the grace of Allah, he cannot finish us. Rather, he will die, he will die, he will die. By the will of Allah, under the leadership of our leader (Shekau), we will capture Buhari with our hands.”

Crime › Tension As Masquerades Attack Ekiti Church by agwom(op):
Tension gripped members of Saint Andrew’s Anglican Church, Oke Ila, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State yesterday over alleged invasion of the town by suspected masquerades who smashed the head of a worshipper with a broken bottle.
The Vicar of the Church, Rev. Zacchaeus Ibitoye, who described the invasion as sacrilegious and barbaric, warned that Ado Ekiti should not be turned into a safe haven for criminals where people would be living in fear.

However, the custodian of the masquerade called ‘Paragogo’ and the Odogun of Ado Ekiti , Chief Obayemi Aladetoyinbo, said the incident was either robbery or cultists’ attack which he said was rampant in the area.
Aladetoyinbo said the incident occurred before his festival began and it would be wrong to have fingered his people as being behind it.
He added that he had reported to the police several times about the activities of cultists in Oke Ila area and wondered why nothing had been done to arrest the situation.
Following the incident, the governor, Ayodele Fayose and the Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Rufus Adeyemo Adejugbe, banned masquerade festival.
In separate statements on the state-owned radio, they ordered the police to arrest whoever defied the directive, maintaining that peaceful co-existence among Ekiti indigenes was paramount.
Narrating their ordeal to journalists yesterday, Rev Ibitoye said they were in the church when one of their members who was returning home after prayers was chased back into the church premises by cudgel-wielding masqueraders and smashed his head with a broken bottle.
The cleric said they took the victim to the hospital for medical care after losing so much blood.

Politics › $15m Unexplained Wealth: SERAP Gives FG 7 Day Ultimatun To Prosecute Patience Jo by agwom(op): 5:32pm On Sep 14, 2016
Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has a given the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr. Abubakar Malami ( SAN) a 7 Day ultimatum to prosecute wife of former President - Mrs Dame Patience Jonathan over $15m unexplained wealth frozen in four companies’ accounts.

The organization this morning stated that Mr Malami should “take this step within 7 days of the receipt of its letter, failing which SERAP will institute legal proceedings to compel the discharge of constitutional duty in this matter.”

SERAP urged the AGF to use his good offices as a defender of public interest, and exercise his powers under Section 174(1) of the Constitution of Nigeria 1999 (as amended), to urgently institute and undertake criminal proceedings against Mrs Dame Patience Jonathan over $15m unexplained wealth frozen in four companies’ accounts.”

The letter dated 13 September 2016 and signed by SERAP executive director Adetokunbo Mumuni argued that, “Mrs Jonathan is a politically exposed person under anticorruption standards. She is also covered under the definition of ‘public officials’ contained in the UN Convention against Corruption to which Nigeria is a state party. Under article 2 of the convention, public officials include Mrs Jonathan or any other family members of the former President Goodluck Jonathan who exercised official duties while he was president.”

The letter reads in part: “Under article 20 of the convention, this government has an obligation to prosecute intentional illicit enrichment, that is, a significant increase in the assets of a public official that he or she cannot reasonably explain in relation to his or her lawful income.”

“The fact that the $15m found in the four accounts belong to Mrs Jonathan raises serious suspicion or at the very least a prima-facie case of unexplained wealth/illicit enrichment, and imposes an obligation on Mrs Jonathan to explain and justify the source(s) of the $15m.”

“In the event that she is not able to justify, explain or put forth evidence demonstrating the legitimate origin of the $15m, SERAP urges you to take immediate steps to forfeit the asset under appropriate legal proceedings, and to institute criminal prosecution for unexplained wealth in the matter.”

“Similarly, section 44 of the Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Act criminalises unexplained or illicit wealth and allows criminal penalties and forfeiture if in the course of an investigation there are reasonable grounds to believe that a corruption offence has been committed, that is, the failure to explain the origin of the $15m given present or past emoluments, and other relevant circumstances.”

SERAP said that "Mrs Jonathan has admitted that the four accounts belong to her and that she is the sole signatory to these accounts. The four accounts in which Mrs Jonathan’s $15m was lodged are said to belong to the following companies: Pluto Property and Investment Company Limited, Seagate Property Development and Investment Company Limited, Trans Ocean Property and Investment Company Limited and Globus Integrated Service Limited. Mrs Jonathan was given a platinum card and exclusive access to the accounts.”

“According to reports, a houseboy, a driver and other domestic workers of a former Special Adviser on Domestic Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Waripamowei Dudafa, were named as directors.”

Pursuing prosecution in this case, according to SERAP, would help to provide adequate reparation, which may take the form of restitution, compensation, satisfaction or guarantees of non-repetition to victims of corruption who continue to be denied their right to an effective remedy.

"It would also send a clear message that cases of unexplained wealth or illicit enrichment involving politically exposed persons would not go unpunished,” SERAP said.

Once you've created your opt-in form on your site, you must now market your product and bring in traffic to your site. You can easily do this through free traffic sources, like submitting articles into article directories, blogs, providing answers in yahoo answers with your signature link, press releases, offline marketing (billboards, fliers, business cards, etc.), classified ads, etc. Or you can use paid traffic sources like Google AdWords, media buys, paid press releases, paid solo ezine ads, and many more options.
With this massive amount of traffic your visitors will either by your product or opt-in to your email list using your opt-in form. This will allow you to easily build a list, which will instantly make those visitors who opted in become your potential customers.

Quality Information -

In order to get the right prospect and customer it is cruical that the information that is being emailed to them is true and proven. Within your emails you must provide good quality information on your product (doesn't have to be long or complicated emails) and avoid over hyping your product.
The time frame within which you should email is totally up to you and your comfort level of producing content, but the normal intervals to send out information to your customers are weekly or monthly.
