It's no longer news that President Mohammed Buhari's Chief Of Staff Abba Kyari has tested positive to the corona virus, alongside 3 of his staff. The COS who had just arrived from Germany, had also gone to pay a condolence visit to the Governor of Kogi State, who recently lost his Mother. It was reported that, Abba Kyari was flown to Lagos from Abuja to start his treatment.
Barely 24 hours after this news went public, the first lady of Nigeria Aisha Buhari, have just fired the Permanent secretary to the Aso Rock Villa, Jalal Aribi, she instructed the Head Of Service to fire him. Jalal Aribi only answers to the Chief Of Staff, Abba Kyari, even though it may come as a shock to many, it may also not come as a surprise, as the first lady had accused him of fraud in the Villa, which had to do with the State house's clinic, how less it equipped it was and how he does not pay salaries to the doctors, instead he will keep the money in his fixed deposit account.
Political Analyst and Human Rights Activist, Adetutu Balogun, was the person that broke the news on Twitter:
"Aisha instructed the Head of Service to fire the Permanent Secretary in the Aso Rock villa. The guy only reports to Kyari, as soon as he was fired, jubilation erupted in the villa. As at today she has mandated that every single person that works in the villa must undergo test tomorrow unfailingly".

Captain who ordered killing of special police operatives ‘proceed on course’ as kidnap kingpin goes on trial

The Captain of the Nigerian Army, who allegedly ordered the shooting and killing of Operatives of the Inspector-General of Police Special Intelligence Response Team and their civilian informants, Tijani Balarabe, has proceeded on a Course in Kaduna.

The information filtered in less than 24 hours after kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Bala, aka Wadume, was arraigned on charges bordering on terrorism, murder, kidnapping and illegal arms possession.

Balarabe was one of those listed to be arraigned alongside Wadume, who appeared in court on Monday.

The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, filed a 16 counts charge against Wadume, alongside 19 other suspects, including Balarabe, who was alleged to have ordered the shooting of the IRT Operatives and their civilian informants, on covert operation in Taraba State.

A source said: “The Soldiers and Officer involved are moving freely.


“One was posted to Cross Rivers and Captain Balarebe, the kingpin, is on course in Kaduna.

“He even went to Ibbi town Taraba State last week, where the killing happened.

“Many people saw him.”

Justice Binta Nyako, on Monday, while presiding over the case, ordered the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, or any other person in whose custody the suspects are, to produce the soldiers in court on March 30.

The suspects ordered by the Judge to appear before the courts are the 2nd to 11th respondents in the charge.

Soldiers of 93 Battalion, Takum, Taraba State had on August 6, 2019 opened fire on the IRT Operatives, who had arrested Wadume and were transporting him to the state police command in Jalingo for interrogation.

The soldiers allegedly killed three policemen and two civilians.

A Former Head of State, General Yakubu Gowon (retd), has declared that the people of the South East are the legitimate owner of Nigeria.

Gowon made this known while speaking during a conference for National Unity entitled: “Federal Character, Restructuring and Rotation of Presidential Power in Nigeria”, in Abuja on Thursday, March 5.

The conference was organized by Igbo Leadership Development Foundation.

The former Nigerian leader stated that; “I believe that the Ndigbo, Middle belt and the Yoruba’s are the true Nigerians because if you look round our borders, people came from abroad and are still coming but Ndigbo have always been there, middle belt have always been there, even Yoruba’s have always been there”

“(It’s sad that) people who came in yesterday who have a duty of respect are now the ones talking, ” he added.
