newscraft2023:
Kaduna Sultan Bello Mosque Tafsir: Appointment of Sadis to deputize, false-says forum

From Bitrus Usman, Kaduna

A body, Dr Ahmad Abubakar Mahmud Students’ Forum, has appealed to relevant security agencies in Kaduna state and Sultan Bello Mosque Management Board to the purported appointment of Dr. Jamilu Muhammad Sadis to deputize Sheikh Dr Ahmad Abubakar Gumi in presentations of Tafsir at Sultan Bello Mosque, Kaduna.

A statement issued by its President, Saleh Buhari Bello, said, “It has come to the knowledge of this Forum of a certain write up on social media by some unscrupulous elements that one, Dr. Jamilu Muhammad Sadis, who is not, in anyway, a student of Sheikh Abubakar Mahmud Gumi or Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, has been appointed to DEPUTIZE Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi in presentations of Tafsir and other religious teachings that he has been conducting at Sultan Bello Mosque, Kaduna.”

The forum noted that it is totally unfounded and was fabricated by some undesirable elements, who have no link, whatsoever with the mosque and teachings of Late Sheikh Abubakar Gumi, with a view to inciting people and causing chaos in the Mosque which has been enjoying peace and tranquility for a very long time now.

The forum then called on the students of Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Abubakar Gumi, worldwide, who have been hurt and troubled by the unfounded and fabricated social media lies to remain calm and disregard the false information.

It described the information as malicious, injurious and calculative attempt to destabilize the existing peace and harmony being enjoyed in the great institution, the School of Late Sheikh Abubakar Mahmoud Gumi.

The forum called on the relevant security agencies in the state and Sultan Bello Mosque Management Board to, as a matter of urgency, take decisive measures against what it called "these metaphysical elements", who are all out to cause crisis in the Mosque in order to truncate this evil attempt by these elements to bring about abyssal catastrophic disorder in this peaceful historical great mosque.
So how will this affect the price of dollar? To the religious section pls

Given the breakdown about the looted items, the trader disclosed that about 711 bags of rice were stolen along with 652 bags of beans, as well as 1,602 bags of sugar.

Gusau, however, added that he was able to recover some of the stolen food items through the efforts of Karmo policemen, who arrived around an hour later in company of other policemen from the Life Camp division, and the FCT Police Command.

“The police were able to recover about 363 bags of rice, 475 bags of beans, and also 1,255 bags of sugar. We recovered them from some household and also the vandal’s hideout,” he said.

Precisely. IPPs are virtually as old as our current democracy which began in 1999. Nothing new or innovative about them regardless of the core technology involved. The purpose is same i.e provide power generated independently of the Nigerian grid.

Yet trust the insecure people, who would even describe their poop as beautiful, to be making noise over what is now a model that will be obsolete soon.

The FG, under Buhari, enacted the electricity and railway Acts of 2023 that gully decentralised the operation of power and rail in Nigeria.

With that development, small IPPs are nothing to deploy or celebrate today, for 'up to speed'and informed folks, because they were for an era when States, industrial zones, extensive government administrative area (like Alausa) and even upscale residential estates sought to escape the inefficiency of the central power generation, transmission and distribution solution previously domiciled under the FG.

These people are simply insecure and suffering from inferiority complex thus prone to over-hyping even the most mundane development they are affiliated with.

Below is what the SW is now targeting after the 2023 full rail and power deregulation law was ratified by the Buhari government.

Too many people, because they know Nigerians never read, use grey areas to decieve and deliberately misinform Nigeria for their own ulterior motives.

Why would sensible folks be manufacturing 7 litre V8 vehicle when all is now in place to allow them utilise the option of producing self-charging electric vehicles instead?

Discrete IPP models are obsolete. I expect to see even middle income States innovatively using different financing options to deliver what the SW is chasing below at State or regional level.

You are the one rather unsecured and reeled with envy and acute jelousy that will only lead you to an untimely death.

With all the IPP mentioned by you, how many of them have being operational? If yhanof Geometric is not significant, why the Federal government show much interest to the point of the vp going their in person or are you saying that the Dangote refinery is not significant as well since we have many licensed reffineriy projects voncieved in the past before his? The point is, we are not talking of how many have being in the past or who started but which one is operational and completed.

For your information the Abs power station is a full functional fsikity equiped with it's generation and distribution mechanisms and not all this I pass my neighbor generators scattered all over your states you call IPP project's...Oga no die on top our matter oo, please take care of your family they need you more.

Imo is already the second largest GDP after Lagos at over 8 trillion Naira. Ogun GDP is around 5+ trillion.

The two gas plants will add about 6 trillion to Imo, increasing it to 14 Trillion, which is more than all the GDPs of Ogun, Ondo, Oyo (three biggest Yoruba state GDPs) combined.

The GDP of the ANOH gas zone will be more than the individual GDPs of Ogun, Oyo, and Ondo and but not combined.

Properties / Re: Why It Is UNFAIR To Castigate 'Brown Roof' Houses! by ahaz: 1:08am On Mar 03
Topman7:
It is highly unfair to castigate houses with so-called brown roofs as being somehow bad, or automatically signifying poverty.

If anyone should be blamed, it's the colonial British who introduced such a foolish roofing material as zinc, which they should have known would rust away in the African sun and humid temperatures in no time.

And so we have the situation whereby today, otherwise perfectly fine houses are written off as ''brown roof dwelling''.

Sometimes these houses are less than 60 years old!

But you can go to Europe today, and most of the houses on the street are over 100 years old!

In places like UK, some residential houses are over 200 years old!

The only difference is that they were not built with zinc roof, so there is no brown roof!

So we need to chill with the way we insult these so-called brown roof houses.. undecided

Perhaps we can advocate for them to be given some TLC via a mass re-roofing campaign.

A dash of paint on the walls wouldn't hurt either.

But there's no need to tear them down. There's nothing wrong with the houses! undecided

grin grin grin ok oo Oga Op we don hear

Health / Re: Hardship: More Nigerians May Develop Mental Health Issues - Psychiatrist Warns by ahaz: 9:03pm On Feb 28
Thissystem:
A Consultant Psychiatrist, Dr Taiwo Obindo, has said that more Nigerians may go mad due to the increasing economic hardship in the country.

Obindo, who is also the President of Association of Psychiatrists in Nigeria (APN), stated this in Lagos on Wednesday.

He said that the current economic hardship, coupled with the level of poverty and other social factors in the country might likely inflict mental illness on more Nigerians.

He listed the social factors to include high cost of living, kidnapping, financial problems, inflation, child abuse, rape, broken homes and broken marriages, traumatic experiences and degrees of violence among others.

Dr Obindo explained that people who were predisposed to the social factors were more likely to develop mental health issues particularly this period the country was faced with lots of economic challenges.

According to him, the Nigerian society is a culture medium for organisms that put people at risk of mental illness.

Obindo, who identified poverty as a leading cause of mental health illness, said that many Nigerians were battling with poverty; saying that might predispose them to mental health conditions.

“The devastating effects of inflation, poverty, insurgent attacks, insecurity and other social crisis across the country, had left several people in need of psychiatric evaluation,” Obindo told NAN.

“No doubt, the situation has resulted to an increase in the number of mental health cases. If you look at the degrees of social crisis and hardships and compare it with what goes on in other climes, you will discover that we have a greater predisposition to developing mental illness.”
