Is this a country or are we living in a shithole? People openly kidnaps a girl, use religion to cover it up and yet, they still walk around as free men? What manner of nonsense is this?

I've often said this that until we do away with religion in this country, we as a people will never prosper, instead, stagnation and backwardness will be our forte.

Imagine openly kidnapping a girl and then use religion to cover it up! Such blatant show of disregard for the rule of law is why we truly are not sane in this country!

Make God punish them!
Politics › Re: Buhari Is Confused, Incompetent - Obasanjo Blasts Buhari Again by AHCB: 7:27pm On Jul 18, 2018
lackren:
Former President, Olusegun Obasanjo on Wednesday said President Muhammadu Buhari was confused and incompetent to deal with national issues.

He said this during a summit organized by the Northern Elders Forum (NEF) in Abuja.

Obasanjo was represented by a former National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola.

Reading Obasanjo’s letter to the participants, Oyinlola quoted the former President as saying, “We lamented the harm that the present Administration of President Muhammadu Buhari, by his action and inaction, has done and is doing to our commonwealth and our common heritage read more

Dino is not among.

It is time we push younger leaders to the forefront. What do you propose?
I don't propose young(er) leaders. I propose people who are selfless. People who have leadership traits, people who knows what it means to live on the short end of a stick, people who knows what it entails to make a promise and not break it, people who believe that it's time we really change the way we do things in Nigeria.

Pushing younger folks who have the orientation of a motor park tout, combine with the fledging arrogance of a yahoo boy isn't going to get us anywhere. It's like putting square pegs in round holes.

Hungerbad, we need mental revolution in this country.

Politics › Re: Photos Of Saraki Meeting With Wike, Ortom And Others In Kwara by AHCB: 3:42pm On Jul 18, 2018
And they went to the mosque? Why am I not surprise. I see the people who call themselves politicians will do anything to get elected/re-elected. Imagine Samuel Ortom, who is owing almost 11 months salary is defecting and seeking re-election. These homo sapiens really have no aorta of shame inside them.

I believe the time is getting near when we allow ourselves get a little sense and oust these brand of politicians who think of only themselves and their families. Anybody who visits Benue state will behold the great work Ortom did: un tarred roads, no water, no jobs, touting and the likes. I honestly don't think this men have anything good to offer nigerians, talkless themselves.

A word is enough for the wise.

Very good.

I want a vibrant opposition to give the APC a good run for their money in the next election.

It is healthy for our Democratic process.

So it is now safe to say this is where Saraki will go to(PDP).

If Saraki becomes the flag bearer of the PDP, I will swallow my distaste for the criminal gang called PDP,and do the needful.

I will vote for Saraki against Buhari and Atiku anyday. We want younger, vibrant leaders in Nigeria, and not our ANCESTORS like Buhari.
you mean you want young, vibrant thieves like Saraki and Dino? The ones who will loot our collective wealth and buy flashy cars with it? Wow. shocked

For me, I'll say it's time we do away with all of them. They're one and the same. No need voting in rouges any more because a rouge, will always be a rouge. Nothing else.

Sorry, no proof for you. And you needn't take my word for it either. You might go "perceive a 'crime' occurred" and go and arrest the police!
i see.

you know! Telling us what to do like they are some sort of gods! We should tell them to fuq off!

But I don't blame them though. They got away with telling us who created the entire universe and all that's in it including you humans, so why wouldn't they think they can tell us when to bend over?
that's because some people see them as gods. They believe everything they say is right. Religious. Folks and gay advocates are among.

I happen to know otherwise, actually. Weed and police are five and six, to coin a phrase.
oh yeah? Where's your proof since you happen to know weed and police are 5 and 6?

Perhaps we need to abandon our barbaric ways then? It's not exactly what more civilised societies encourage!
we'll abandon it when we deem it fit to be abandoned. Not the so called civilised society telling us to do so.

Lol. Two crimes that are completely unpoliceable. Both are stupid antiquated laws in my opinion. People smoke weed all over the place and nothing is done about it. In fact, the police protect the dealers and collect payment for it. And they bloody well aren't going to any crime scenes to gather evidence of homosexuality.

Both laws should be abolished, or at least, fought against for wasting resources that can better be employed elsewhere and to better and more purposeful effects. Apart from the bigotry that the anti-gay law encourages, that is.
yep, people go about smoking weed indiscriminately, but hope you know the police still arrest and prosecute dealers and smokers alike?

Don't make it sound as if homosexuals are the only ones being harassed in Nigeria. It's no news nigerians tend to take laws into their hands whenever a perceive 'crime' occur.

In a way, you have a point. People can be gay in private, and it would hardly be anyone's business. However, with all the persecution of homosexuals that's going around, I can understand why they would want to rise up against the persecutors of their sexual preferences.
those who are persecuted for being gay do so because they were caught in the act and yeah, being gay is against the law in Nigeria, so is smoking weed, okay?

It's the same reason people who are against religions would fight religion and the religious. The way religion makes some reason is detrimental to society and affects everyone and must be challenged. Same way sexual bigots must be challenged too, if just because of their bigotry!
I fight against religion because religious folks have this annoying habit of throwing it in your face.
