The question therefore is that did Nigerians have that belief in this administration to put to use the proceeds from the removal in resolving the lingering problems we face? The answer remains NO. The President himself admitted knowledge of corruption in that sector during his campaign tours and requested an additional four years to deal with the issue. On the 28th of March the question was what this man couldn't do in 5+years can he do in 4? The answer to that question was seen clearly in result sheets across the country. This is where the PMB admin has an edge. If Buhari keys in to the goodwill he has with Nigerians at the moment, stops payment of the subsidy and demonstrates that will to fight the corruption in the oil sector then he will be using his supposed strength to his advantage. Corruption can't be fought by strengthening the EFCC and ICPC alone, introducing technology in strengthening the institutions is fitting. I believe that the picture will definitely be clearer in the first 30 days of the incoming admin.
