Well even though the GEJ administration hasn't done well in most areas of the economy, I'll prefer we leave that title of worst economic team to Babaginda and his group. GEJ will forever be known as the clueless leader so no need giving him new names at this time

“Our PDP government turned Nigeria into a new world and Jigawa State in particular but, just because of selfish interest of a few, they kept sabotaging, blackmailing and intimidating our government”, he said.

What is there to curb?

In 2013...ASUU went on strike so that we could have better facilities in our universities. And they asked the government for 3 trillion naira.

Govt told them that they could only give them N1 trillion and that over five years.

In real life...our universities need over N10 TRILLION....if not more.

That is why I (sadly) advocate for increased fees. Because quite frankly we have no choice. Especially as oil prices have fallen. And even if we knock corruption down the drain....the fact is that it will only give us limited money.

Sorry boys and girls....but the above is what you get for N50000 fees. If you want to sit in high class, air conditioned lecture theaters....either pay fees as high as N200000......or fast and pray that oil starts selling at $130 per barrel. Because....we no longer have the kudi to fund education, and because our government has refused to get us off oil.
Who pays? The same Nigerians living below a dollar a day?

I remember a story Chinua Achebe told of the Hawk that told its child to return the chick of the mother who kept silent and keep that of the hen who raised all kind of hell.
I also remember the teaching of Sun Tzu in the Art of War ; to appear weak when you are strong and strong when weak.

The SS will do well to learn these lessons. For now they are talking too much which tells me they are weak. They should shut up find some real leaders ,make a plan and implement it.
Can someone please tell me how blowing up pipelines is a PLAN?
Strategic thinking eschews emotions which is what is dominating the discourse today. When reality is analysed in cold way the SS will realize they need Leaders with vision not militants or empty hats. They also need friends within and outside "friendship" of real value is never given out of sentiment it carries a price. The SS must really ask itself whether the last 5 years of GEJ served any long term purpose in terms of strategic advantage or friendships. Even WITHIN the SS is there now greater unity? How useful has Edwin Clark been?
I will ask who are the top 2 or 3 politicians from the SS that are committed to a resource control or secession agenda. Is a man who spends $1000 dollars on cocktails and snacks and posts the receipt online the Messiah of the SS?
Anger is good but achieves little without a strategy and right now there is NONE

I doubt oil will get back to $100 per barrel(and Nigeria needs it to be $123 per barrel just to break even)...because everyone is producing oil.(To the point where OPEC members are now a minority of global oil producers). Plus America...which used to be a net importer of everybody's oil...is now tending towards being an exporter of oil.(Yes...I know that the Saudis are trying to starve American oil producers into submission...but that is another story.).And China's economy is slowing....so no extra cash to spend on buying up oil.

There is a glut in the oil market....high prices are no longer justified. Another reason why Nigeria must get off oil.
Getting off oil is a process and it takes some time. Why don't we work on our refineries and expand our market of exports to other African countries

Asari if you are for self determination and freedom be specific, clear and consistent. What do you mean by wait and watch what Buhari's govt will do? That sound like you are wavering and not made up ur mind. Cause I don't see Buhari becoming president and then letting your people to be free, that's a malaria dream!!!

If you are for self determination stick to it and make hey Buhari or no Buhari. Else you sound like a hypocrite crying cause GEJ lost election.

Be RESOLUTE AND INCORRUPTIBLE!
So mention that word and Asari's name in the same post, someone that the definition of Niger Delta Struggle to him is how the walls of his belly can be enlarged

Then if it passes through the house proceedings who will sign it into law. Thats where i am worried about Gej leaving because he will never sign such bill.
Even if GEJ vetoes it, the house can vote to override the veto and it stands.

Justice must prevail, this is rape of democracy, Niger deltans and everybody should say no to this new development. No wonder they are delaying this for the past 5years till when GEJ is leaving.
It's not because GEJ is leaving. His powers are separated from theirs so his position on the issue doesn't matter. The clause has already been passed but I don't know if it can be reversed cause that will be the best thing to do.

By what means?
The fact that the crude is pumped through a pipeline that passes through our land, I have a right to benefit from the proceeds as well.
Your argument is quite flawed though. Do you mean that if I produce cassava in Delta state, the man from Ogun should benefit from my produce because I am transporting the goods by a road passing through his town? You see I don't pity the Niger Delta anymore, they had their opportunity to get things right but they threw it in the bin. Their representatives don't even feel concerned so why should I
