Uncle Sege is very skillful I must confess.
The video clip I watched he was even more mesmerizing.

When I update my list,I will see where I can put him.
Also watch Sammuel Okwaraji, the guy in number 8 jersey.

Chidera Ejike is definitely among the top 20 if not the top 10,I totally forgot,I should replace Friday Ekpo with him.

Apart from Segun Odegbami, Sam Okwaraji,Tarila Okoronwanta and Henry Nwosu,
I watched the rest of the players,
Tijani Babangida, Victor Moses and Wilson Oruma are definitely better dribblers than some of the players but I don't think they can replace the names on the list based on skills.

So which four names do you think should be replaced with Odegbami, Okwaraji,Okoronwanta and Nwosu?
Odegbami replaces Ikedia
Okwaraji replaces Chidi Odia
Okorowanta replaces Okoronkwo
Nwosu replaces Ogbuke

Danielnino00:
2024 Nairaland Nigeria Football Fans Award

Update

Gents,

The next step now is to select members of the nomination committee.
The committee will be responsible for selecting the the awards categories as well as nominees for each category.

Traditionally, selecting of members of the nomination committee was done through voting. I personally like that method because it ensure that all members of the thread have the chance to select the most passionate and knowledgeable monikers to nominate players for the award.
However, every year, there's always this problem of those who are voted to be part of the committee not being active... Last year, almost 80% of monikers that were voted to be part of the committee quit... Others were either inactive or unavailable.
I understand that we all have our lives to live and work stuffs won't allow some of us participate actively.
On this note, I've decided that this year, the nomination committee will be made up of members who Volunteer to join.. that way, we can be ensured of some level of commitment.

Here's how it will be done: If you're interested in being a member of the committee, quote this post with one word "Interested". Other members of the thread will give credence to your nomination by liking the post.
The top 8 monikers with the most likes and shares will make up the nomination committee alongside I and icon4s who, by default is a honourary member of the committee, being the founder of this award.

Voting closes on Monday December 16th 2024 at 6pm Nigeria time

Thank you

CC: Icon4s, semid4lyfe

PS: if anyone has an objection to the chosen method of selecting committee members, do not hesitate to let me know...maybe we can work out another method
Well done Danielnino00 for continuing with the tradition. I am in total support of this proposed nomination method.

Ladies and Gents, we all know the Super Eagles ended the Year on a disastrous note. There are no excuses for this colossal failure. However, let's also remember we had some good times especially at the AFCON hosted earlier in the Year, Our Junior Female team did fairly well at their respective World Cups, Our U20 Boys won the WAFU B tournaments and new youngers were identified, Super Falcons also played a number of matches and Edo Queens also did us proud at the CAF Women Champions league. And so we can see we have taken part in a good number of tournaments, enough to rate our players, team and coaches. So please let's join efforts to ensure the success of the 2024 Nairaland Nigerian Football Fans awards smiley

And with Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong starting from the bench? This is scary. 😭😭
For me Janet Seimeyeha is a better striker than Chidi Harmony. We saw some glimpse of Janet at the U20 WC with the Falconets but Okwuchukwu being ahead of her, made Janet to chop the bench and only came in as late substitute in some games. She is from the Asisat Oshoala Academy.
Janet is a typical "number 9".
Meanwhile, Shakirat Moshood is the next big thing to happen to Nigerian Female football. I can put my Money on this one grin
PropertiesRe: Building For Renting Should Be Used With Your Spare Money by aicon4s: 7:42am On Dec 10, 2024
NothingDoMe:
Lol. People who did that sunk into really bad debts.

You borrowed 200k and you're supposed to return 220k including the interest. You then borrow 220k from another provider and you're supposed to return 242k. Gradually you're building up your debt profile.

Many people have forfeited their properties due to loans they couldn't pay back.

OP is saying, do something else like business/investment first and only build for rent with your spare cash. Tenants sef nor dey gree pay rent.

I agree 💯 with him.
You think they take those loans only to allow it sit in the bank and then be paying interest. People who understand the power of Time value of money (200k in my hand today is worth more than waiting to gather 250k in 12months time) and effective management of loan funds under normal circumstances will not go bankrupt. You took the loan for a profitable venture in the first place not for it to sit in the bank and then be paying back the loan + interest.

How will someone invest 100m in a project & won't care about return on investment?? Except the person is a politician looting funds! Is it everyone that is interested in taking loans? If u have built a house for rent with slow ROI & wahala coming from troublesome tenants, u will not make the bold statement.
100m might be a lot to you but for some others it is not much of a value.

A 100m property that brings in only 3m annual returns of which part will still go into property maintenance, Meanwhile through that 100m property he got a loan of 500m and built an Hotel that is capable of raking in 50-80m per annum. You should know where his interest lies

NothingDoMe:
Nah. Why should you own a property because you want to borrow. Instead, invest properly.
You have not heard of people taking loan to pay back another loan. See there are various business and investment strategies out there, you just need to be a smart thinker.

Spending 70 million naira to build a 2 story building 3 bedroom flats.

Put the rent at 350,000 naira per year for each flat in a location like Aba, it will take you more than 33 years to breakeven.

House for rent as an investment is what your children will enjoy, not you.

Use your spare money to build if you have excess cash.

If you have 80 million naira in your account as a young man, don't use it to build that story building. Reinvest it in your business that gave you that 80 million naira.

You can buy land, but don't build until you have at least times 3-4 of the building budget in your account.
I used to have this mindset painted above until I had the opportunity to discuss with people that own such properties.
One of the best collaterals you can have as a business man is a landed property with a CofO.
With that 2 or 3 storey building worth 150Million you can have access to loan of up to N500 million.
The owners of those properties don't care about the Return on Investment (ROI) on the property, they see it as opportunity to access loans. That's why if you go to places like Onitsha and Aba you will see so many high rise residential buildings. Most of them have been mortgaged for loans.

That guy hasn't made any significant impact since he joined the Super Eagles. While I wish him a quick recovery, the new coach should look for home-based players to play in the national team.

There are young guys in the local league who deserve a spot in the team. Iheanacho, Boniface and many others have lost their relevance in the team.

We cannot continue to have a mediocre team that cannot beat ordinary Rwanda.
Names, please....

I have watched EDO Queens right from the WAFU Qualifiers not missing any game even this CAF WCL, This was their best game. The fighting spirit was something else. Those girls gave their 110%. A very well motivated team by the out-gone Obaseki Government.

With Sundowns out of the way now, I see them going all the way to the Final.

infact those days minnows were really MINNOWS…like very very poor african teams…not now wey minnows don dey wake up
Madagascar
Comoros
kenya
Lesotho
CAR
Equitorial Guinea
Rwanda
these teams during yekini days were highly mumulized…dem no sabi play anything…even SA during our golden generation days were real amateurs
Add Cape Verde, Equatorial Guinea, Uganda, Burkina Faso, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Gambia and Mauritania to the list. Players from these countries now have European exposures and so their level of football awareness has greatly improved.

Even the likes of Senegal, Mali, Angola and Guinea were minnows in the 1980 and 90s.
