Jobs/Vacancies / Re: What Is The Average Salary Of SSA And Special Adviser? by aicon4s: 11:16am On Jun 11
LordVarys1:
A friend of mine is hoping to get an appointment as either SSA or Special Adviser to the governor of his state soon. We had an argument about remuneration. Who knows the average salary of a special adviser or SSA. He said SSA is around 600k and Special Adviser is 800k but I told him it can't be upto, it should be around 300k and 500k respectively. I told him to consider very well before leaving his job, atleast he earns over 300k as salary.

We will like to hear from people with Information. Also is there official vehicle for SSA and Special Advisers?

Salary is nothing. There are several other allowances, travelling and Networking opportunities.

Any idea if or where the game will be televised?

Why are you surprised? Nigerians are very poor in organization.

Like CAF, like NFF.

Let's assume Ivory coast crashed out in the semifinals, does that mean they wouldn't qualify for AFCON since only the two finalists are picked?

Africans are always architects of their own down fall. So CAF wants to maintain the same 12 team format and 10 out of the 12 will qualify. Then the tournament is no longer competitive. We should expect to see likes of Ethiopia, Kenya, South-Sudan and co to play at the WC while some West African giants with huge talent rot away.
How can Africa present 10 representatives and neither Nigeria nor Ghana will be there. It means something is wrong with the qualifying series. Why should WAFU even agree to this satanic zoning thing in the first place, putting Nigeria, CIV, Ghana and Burkina Faso into one box to battle for initially one then later two slots. For any U17 Tourney two of these four nations have the potentials to play in the Semis or Final. It has happened several times. These four are among the most successful U17 Teams in Africa. The other two teams are Mali and Guinea who are still WAFU nations.

So if CIV had lost out in the Semis, only the winner of Zone B could have qualified for the CAF U17? Now, this is when we will know if we truly have NFF leadership and also if the WAFU Leaders are worth anything.

lonelydora:
I was having discussions with my guys about how I did 150km/hr few days ago.

So, I decided to create this topic. Here are few speeds I have done some years back.

When you are driving a 'sound' vehicle and on a smooth expressway, the truth is, you won't even know when you are hitting hard on the accelerator especially if you are driving a heavy engine like V6 or a V8.

While I do not know the current condition of some of these roads, here are few I have done before:

1. Lokoja - Abuja - Kaduna: 160km/hr (Dis road sweet wella)

2. Kontangora (Niger) - Yauri/Jega (Kebbi): 160km/hr

3. Abuja - Keffi: 140km/hr

4. Port Harcourt - Ikot Abasi - Eket: 140km/hr

5. Benin - Ore: 145km/hr (I don't really like this road)

6. Abuja - Jos: 145km/hr

7. Enugu - Port Harcourt: 150km/hr (escaped from some bad boys. A story for another day)

Remember,

SPEED KILLS ‼️ DRIVE TO STAY ALIVE ‼️

Ijebu Ode-Samagu: 150km/h Honda Accord 2000 model (Baby boy) in 2008. My first car, testing the 'speedability, grin
Benin - Warri: 140km/h Toyota 4 Runner 2007 Model in 2021 needed to meet up with someone in Warri before he closed from work.

Now, I don't do more than 120km/h, no matter how smooth the road is.

2026 World Cup Qualifier

Nigeria vs South Africa

Date: 7th June 2024

Time: 8pm

Venue: God's will Akabio Stadium Uyo

Playing the game in Uyo in the middle of rainy season. Hm...... I doubt the quality of that pitch to effectively drain excess water o. Let's not give SA an undue advantage. I hope our officials are thinking. Anyways, since it has already been decided ..............nothing can be done again.

The issue here is U17 bigger than NPFL? not houses or kind of prizes.Do you say England U17 or U20 WC winning team is bigger than EPL winner, and funny you are bringing European league winners parade as your point.

Pls who are the world stars from U17?okay Osimhen,Chuckwueze,Iheanacho,Awoniyi,Nwakalis,Uzoho…

NPFL star Amunike gave us Afcon 94

NPFL Amunike scored the winning goal Atlanta 96

NPFL Sunday Mba gave Afcon 2013

NPFL Rashidi Yekini scored Nigeria first WC goal

NPFL Ahmed Musa scored 4 WC goals

NPFL Richard Owubokiri won Europe highest goal scorer

NPFL Enyeama clean sheets record in French league

NPFL Finidi,Kanu and Mikel won Champions league

NPFL Yekini,Kanu,Amunike and Ikpeba won APOTY.

Nice one.

Let me just make this contribution. It is not in line with Amuneke or no Amuneke Argument o. grin Just to let us know the stars that played in the FIFA U17 2009 World Cup hosted in Nigeria:

TheGoodjoe and Thesupernerd, we appreciate all your contributions here. We have together been on this Journey for well over 10years. It can only be passion that has kept us coming back here to read and contribute to discussions. We respect you and all other regulars here.

Sugarboyy if only you know some of the personalities behind these monikers..... if you say these persons are jobless I am equally jobless because I was for so many years very active here, I only, lately, reduced it to mainly reading of posts and I still make contributions to certain issues.

We have treated each other with utmost respect even despite our arguments here. For me, THIS IS THE MOST USEFUL THREAD ON NAIRALAND and I have a million and one reasons to say so. This thread can boast of some of the best football analysts in Nigeria.

Sugarboyy, abeg, desist from the insults. TheGoodjoe and TheSupernerd are two of our best men here, and any insult thrown at them is an insult thrown at the rest of us.

Please let's follow peace with all men, and continue with our discussions and analysis.

Anyway, point is TheGoodJoe and I have been far more vocal on why we want Amunike unlike many others who don't want Amunike but will settle for just anybody else not named Amunike without an idea of what their philosophy is like.

Icon4s is as big on this thread as the myself and TheGoodJoe but he's been silent lately.

Amunike is way different from Finidi.

And who else on this thread is more pro-Amunike than TheGoodJoe and I? This is one of those times when you just want to yap with no concrete grounds on what you say.

Point out a pro-Amunike moniker in here bigger than TheGoodJoe and myself. Do it.

Space is infinitesimal but rays of light diminish in space and as such parts of Space do not receive rays of light, and then appear dark

He had a hybrid look of Diego Maradona and Ruud Guillit.

When ever he was on our starting line up we were almost sure to win. "Okparaji go play? Ah we go win be that" grin

Throwback goal from Samuel sochukwuma Okwaraji (popularly pronounced as "Okparaji"wink grin. He was a Fans' Favorite, one of the most loved players in the team then.
An assist from another legend, Rasheedi Yekini, saw us go into an early lead with a thunderous strike from "Okparaji" against Cameroon. Such was what Okparaji was capable of. It was a second group B game of the Maroc '88 AFCON. Game ended 1:1.

One year later, during a 1990 World Cup qualifying game, against Angola he slumped on the grass of the national stadium, Surulere, Lagos and was confirmed dead next morning. We won that game 1:0 but lost the final group game 1:0 to Cameroon away in Yaounde, without Okparaji, in a game that we needed a draw to qualify for Italia '90 World Cup

Many believed that if Okparaji had played that last game we couldn't have lost.

Continue to rest our Hero: Samuel Sochukwuma Okwaraji
