i have watched that winter the wind blows but i did not notice his bad acting eventhough people complained about it.i think he is more on the weird side,there were times he switched over to creepy mode in its okay thats love, but overall he is watchable.

He's very good looking. But I didn't like him in Frozen Flower at all... Until maybe the last scene. I was wondering who is this frozen actor. Lol. But then I managed to Watch him again in It's OK That's Love and he had improved slightly. He's just really nice looking on screen that's it really. But I'm loving the little snippets of my baby Kim Beom... Lol

Ji Sung is a great actor, one of my best. He was laugh out loud hilarious in his teenage girl personality.

You're right, dramas that deviated from the norm. As for Kill Me, Heal Me, Ji Sung was the best thing that happened to the drama. I don't think another actor could pull off 7-in-1 like he did.
On a lighter note, I think Secret Love Affair shouldn't be all that a taboo, seeing that South Korea has legalized adultery.

Was adultery illegal before... Lol these people sef.

True about KMHM... Though I haven't seen even one episode I can tell from comments, stills and Tumblr notes that Ji Sung killed it.

Yup, the first 3 OSTs are out. Right from the first time it was played in episode 1, I knew I just had to download the first OST. Very upbeat and really nice.


Hmmm, I'd rate What's With this Family over YFAS, but then, the PDs are professional, and know why they voted that way. Misaeng as number 1 isn't so bad, for a cable tv drama, it did really well. It was a great drama, but the only beef I have with it is there is no romance.

I know what you mean liking a song from even the first listen in episode one. I just thought the songs don't get released on soundtrack till some weeks. Only when it's released as an OST track that we can now find it onine to download. I guess things are being done faster these days, it's getting scary how fast lol

What's with this Family... I remember you recommending it and then me downloading several episodes till I gave up lol. Might have to check them out now.

I'm suspecting the PDs are using a different kind of criteria than we'd expect. They must have picked the dramas not based on rating or popularity. But which and which went outside the norm to create something unique and even risky.

Making Misaeng without any romance at all is a very risky thing lol but they pulled it off. Also Secret Love Affair tackled extra marital affairs, a taboo theme.

So I finally figured they chose dramas that couldn't fit into a box and which did something new for the industry. Kill Me Heal Me.... Hmm I think it was the actor's effort that got them that selection.

Just read an article about the best dramas of 2014-2015 as selected by the top PDs of all the major Korean networks... Hmm I need to brush up and watch most of them cos I've only seen 2 on this list... Do you guys agree with the selection?

Because most times the mean bad guys are far more fun. At least more than the goody nicey nice guys who can't even hurt a fly lol. Women like a man who is flawed and needs fixing I guess. Also it makes for a great drama.

Lee Min ho, Lee Jong suk, Kim Woo Bin, Kim So Hyun etc presence have nothing to do with other actors not making headway. Even if they go for military service, it might still remain the same.

Ahn jae hyun for example needs to take some lessons in acting. His performance in BLOOD was dismal.

Everyone of the actors you've mentioned have at least one drama they flopped in. It's just that Ahn Jae Hyeon happened to have it with his very first major role. At least he does have star quality and made some fans around the world esp among the younger generation.

Of course, the hero has to be compelling enough to watch, and have good chemistry with his female co star. Love triangles have their good moments, but at times, I don't really like them.
Cinderella stories are definitely fun, especially if the male lead behaves badly to the female before love takes over

Kdramas are the worst when it comes to how the guy treats the girl. In Secret Garden Hyun Bin was really horrid to Ha Ji Won.

AJH had little or no experience before being thrust into Blood, and the drama/ role he played wasn't exactly the normal guy-next-door kind. Still he gave his best shot, and therefore, I cut him some slack.

Hmmm I no longer blame inexperienced actors ooo--- even established top actors can flop if the drama is not inspiring. Look at my baby boo Hyun Bin He chose a good drama but its execution by the directors, writers and producers made him look like a twit. They did the same to AJH. Blood was a great drama but poorly executed.

That's why I say that dramas like Heart to Heart and Falling for Innocence make it look so easy. The writers and directors are great but they chose medium-fame cast...so the drama doesn't get the hype that AJH and Hyun Bin types will get.

Lol I'm the mushy type - I shamelessly like strong romance themes with manly/compelling male heroes...but the couple combo must be my personal taste or I'm not going for it. That's why I'm not crazy for dramas like Ho-gu's Love...the male lead is what, sixteen? Or he looks like he is

Don't you think Military service is somehow good? When a set of actors enlist, other upcoming ones are given a chance. But with the actresses, nobody is going anywhere.

I guess when there's a new trend, all the networks just jump right in, so they won't be left out. Still, healthy competition is good, right?

I like that idea, that the networks don't want to be left out of a popular concept...no wonder after Boys over Flowers everyone started making rich guy poor girl dramas....I'm preparing a blog about that. My top five Cinderella kdramas....

Whether actors go for military service or not, if an upcoming actor is not good he's just not good enough. No need for them praying for Lee Min ho and the rest to go for service...because some of these minor actors just don't have the star quality to pull fans or ratings. I will sha give someone at least one chance ---- like Ahn Jae hyeon, I wanted so bad for him to make it and he tried his best anyway (in Blood). But he shouldn't have borrowed so heavily from Kim So Hyun's You from the Stars role.

I'm definitely excited for Producer, as I love the leads and the Variety show theme. I love anything that has to do with Broadcasting Stations, so yeah, I'm anticipating eagerly. I'm kinda hoping Gianna Jun makes a cameo as per her relation to Cha Tae Hyun and Kim Soo Hyun -though this is next to impossible. Lol

There is another Mask? I checked, and Masked Prosecutor will also be sharing the same Wed-Thur time slot with it. Mask and Masked.... Let's see how that turns out, lol.

That's Yon Bisu... Good to see her again.

I wonder if Yon Feisu will ever have her own lead role. She was so good in Empress Ki, Three Musketeers and Love from Another Star. She's also uniquely pretty.

These days they keep copying the same premise: switched identities aka mistaken identity. It's being used in Sensory Couple, now Who Are You 2015 and soon Mask.

Just like when body swapping and multiple personalities were all the rage lol
