Why the cheap publicity---not becoming of a future member of the VP family...if it was my sis I will slap that her puff puff face lmaoo ![]() |
He get that kain face wey dey hungry me to slap (sorry, pidgin is not my Mother tongue ) |
New Drama alert for April 2015~~!!! Let's Eat 2 I haven't watched Let's Eat 1 but since it has to do with lots of food and eating it, I'm sure it will be a blast ![]() I'm looking forward to this sequel because of the girl from King's Daughter Soo Baek Hyang. She was also in Three Musketeers. Her name is Seo Hyun Jin and she showed a lot of eating skills in her Subaek Hyang scenes...would love to see her stuffing her face again lol Who else will be watching? It takes the spot after Ho-gu's Love / Fool's Love.

hilda90:Oh my mistake, I didn't say our k-drama actors use make-up per se. I meant in Korea, their men sometimes wear makeup. These are the metrosexual types who are possibly entertainers of some sort, maybe musicians, models and such. I know for a fact that K-pop male singers/bands have no problem wearing a bit of liner or other makeup/hairdos. As for the average k-drama actor, I won't go as far as to say they wear makeup oooo. They are naturally feminine-looking because of their flawless skin and triangular features. Which means in a long wig, they could pass for girls. What pains me is when my little nephew would mistake their women for men, and their men for women What is that?lol |
Atk01:Exactly ![]() |
Atk01:Wow @ your elder bro lol but in Asia having that flower boy look is the ultimate. Thanks to all those manga cartoons and comicbooks. People who've visited Korea always talk about how it's common to see guys wear makeup. Just eyeliner and sometimes pancake It shows they take pride in their appearance and are comfortable with their sexuality, so they aren't worried about looking manly or not. Because they are naturally blessed with these feminine features/physique (small face, small waist, smooth skin, puffy lips etc) Sometimes, actors are teased that they look even prettier and more attractive than their lovely female co-stars ![]() I've seen some K-drama actors (like Ji Chang Wook) who have better skin than some women they act with. These male actors look practically flawless. |
hilda90:I feel so happy whenever I see Lee Joon Gi he just has that bright aura. Not every handsome actor has this trait. That's why Lee Min Ho has his own special aura that some don't just understand but his fans know how he makes them feel loLUgh too early in the weekend to get sentimental... ![]()
|
hilda90:He is just rising everyday. He is so lucky in this competitive Kdrama and Kpop world. He's had some good dramas this past 2 years (Empress Ki and Healer). |
hilda90:I know No Min Woo; he was so attractive in Girlfriend is A Gumiho. He was a crazy villain in Blade and Petal though ; ![]() |
@dimplecakes I got mine from .com. I will try to get a link for you. .....here it is http://www..com/2014/05/flower-boy-ramyun-shop.html?m=1 |
Atk01:Omg lol...must be a meme from Blood fans...They make up all sorts of gaffes for Ku Hye-sun's character both from Blood and Boys Over Flowers ; ![]()
|
Atk01:Aaaah. Now I get it--- Smoking Hot n Sexy is right! They should totally do a drama together again.. |
@ hilda90 Ahn Jae-hyeon definitely doesn't look late twenties which is his age bracket. Don't know if that's good for him...but he sure has fans who love his look. Like I said, they fit into that 'flower boy' kind of trend that started with actors like Lee Jun Ki who can pass for girls in certain make up and hair do's ![]() |
hilda90:wow I love Woo Bin's kind of face so mean and smexy with those freaky eyebrows lolYep Kim Soo hyun really hit it BIG with Moon Embraces the Sun---almost caused a catastrophe to teenage hearts in k-drama-dom. Lmaoo he's one of those 'flower boy' types with the feminine features mixed in with their maleness. Such guys with 'small faces' are popular in Asia. |
Atk01:Wait, SmoHoXy = hot male lead guy in Blood, right? (Ahn Jae-hyeon)? - help me out here lol And yes, Jae-hyeon is like 28 while KSH is around 27. But KSH played an 'older' role in YWCFTS. Also, KSH is 'older' in the industry. Jae-hyeon first acted in YWCFTS as Gianna Jun's younger bro. So he's still a baby in acting compared to KSH lol |
Atk01:Wookie - Ji Chang Wook Sexy voice -- Tal Tal?? I'm just guessing here. Lol Did you know...Kim Soo Hyun is a year younger than the guy Ahn Jae-hyeon who played Gianna Jun's younger brother in You From the star? I mean the guy playing lead male in Blood That must have been weird, KSH playing 'hyung' to a guy who's older than him but looks years younger.Ahn Jae-hyeon said he enjoyed working with KSH and even asked for acting tips (since AJH is new to k-dramas while KSH has been around for a while) I think that's cute they've got a bromance going on ![]() |
hilda90:lol just like I mentioned to @Atk01 ... I do like actors with a more 'manly' look. I mean broad jaws and not with triangle faces like KSH, who just like you said can pass for 12 ![]() He is NOT the best. But he's been good in all his roles so far and is exceptionally respected/admired by fans ALL OVER THE WORLD. I'm serious lol. Even in USA... |
Atk01:Oooh, KSH fan alert! OKies, no vex Just repeating what someone said when commenting on an article about him and I do agree just a bit. He killed it in You From the stars though. I'm just not feeling him as an actor. I like 'manly' actors like So Ji Sub and Zo In Sung lol. Ji Chang Wook had a pass because he actually can be manly or boyish depending on what his role expects of him...But in all I have massive respect for ALL k-drama actors whether I'm their fan or not, so no offence to KSH, I can see you like him ![]() |
hilda90:now I can certainly vouch for that lol. I watched some behind the scenes of Empress Ki one time and Puppy can EAT my gosh. Those times between filming with everyone just hanging around eating...this guy can put down some serious grub. You know all those food they set out during the scenes...I mean the ones served in the drama...the guy will just end up wacking all of it. He was cute though and the camera just loves him whether on or off the drama. |
hilda90:lmaoo I know that scene----(trust me I'm a Wookie officianado and I've already seen most of the stuff written about him on soompi or elsewhere - ever ) and people were commenting how much they'd love to be that lollipop he was sucking on....yikes ![]() I like him in dramas; he's just got IT and to me others like Kim Soo Hyun (Moon Embracing the Sun, You Who Came from the Star) are just overrated. |
ellab:Can't say I blame you. I'll be the first to admit that the writers are not taking chances with the story. The dialogue is not that great and there is no skinship by episode 6 - come on?? Blood could be so much better and I hope the writers figure out how to make the two leads shine because I promise you they're both good actors (including Gu Hye-sun but in Blood she just lost track) I will still support the drama by watching because there are so many veterans, like the guy from Empress ki (Golta) and the guy from Dong Yi who's the super villain. |
ellab:ugh I know! He's like, representing the whole of freaking Korea there I can imagine him in his tux, looking sharp with those damn puppy eyes lol |
ellab:Don't make a girl start screaming now... LMAO will he go for it? Hmm even I don't know if he should. It all depends on his female lead. She has to be darned good to play off him as a vampire scholar in Joseon ![]() |
DrDre1:A nifty Android app called HD Cinema...lol |
Better Call Saul eps 1-5 (from the guys behind Breaking Bad?) The Last Man on Earth ep 1 (omg lol) |
Atk01:Lol thanks, it's way past my bedtime I know but still catching up on some stuff... Speaking of such here's some Producer's trivia you might like: - The writer who wrote the screenplay for “You Who Came from the Stars” is in charge of the Producer script. - Kim Soo Hyun was until recently considering a role in an MBC supernatural drama named “Night Strolling Scholar” (a historical drama about a Joseon-era vampire) - Night Strolling Scholar would be directed by Empress Ki director Lee Sung Joon who incidentally also directed Soo Hyun in “Moon Embracing the Sun” - KSH (Kim Soo Hyun) finally picked “Producers” which will reunite him with his “Dream High” co-star IU. - Singer-actress UI has already committed to starring in the drama. Or maybe not, since nothing's really confirmed. - Popular actress Gong Hyo Jin has been offered a role playing an arrogant veteran producer who abuses the powers she has. - Chae Tae Hyun also plays a producer while Kim So Hyun is a law student who switches careers to become a producer - UI plays a cool, aloof star who finds it hard to trust others. *** My thoughts....I don't really see any conflict/excitement in this storyline. "Night Strolling Scholar" sounds more fun lol but then KSH might be avoiding any historical/supernatural dramas for now and who can blame him ![]() Also not sure how Gong Hyo Jin will look playing a "bad guy" role. All in all, filming definitely hasn't begun yet, that much I can gather. But looks like Kim Soo Hyun is in the bag for lead male. I'm dredging up as much excitement as I can but like I said, I'm not so crazy about him as an actor outside the You Who came from the Stars drama. But let's see how this goes ![]() Nightie night - sleep tight. And we Bloodmates never have to worry about vampires and such lol |
Atk01:that's a whole lot to wish for...but it's definitely worth giving a look once it airs. Keeping my eyes peeled...lol |
Atk01:I'm great thanks Bloodmates assemble...lol watching episode 6 now in tiny bits. Prolonging the enjoyment haahaI've been hearing great things about the Producers drama, by the way. Dramafever is already saying this could be the best drama, thanks to Gong Hyo-jin etc. Looks like most dramas are going for either medical or journalism themes. Such as with Healer and Pinocchio where the leads were reporters and such. I'll post up photos or links when I have them. |
Atk01:Oh great! Understandably the drama, its lead actors and the theme might not be everyone's taste. I for one absolutely LOVE this drama because it's different and quirky. Might have to drop it for a few weeks because I'm getting too into it and the wait week to week is really draining LOL |
I just watched episode 5 of Blood and this drama is on a roll. It's a medium-paced drama which I like. Sometimes you just want something you can enjoy in slow, steady mouthfuls. I'm sure the tempo will pick up soon and meanwhile, loving the interactions. Would love to see some major chemistry and skinship between the leads soon. |
Atk01:You mean it begins filming next month, or airing? If it's showing so soon then I can imagine you'd be so excited. I'm definitely a fan of Gong Hyo-jin/Kong Hyo-jin. I'd be happy if she was the lead female but it seems not. Only Cha Tae Hyun has really been confirmed for the drama, not sure about the rest. Kim Soo-hyun was great in You Who Came from the stars, but I'm not his biggest fan. I probably wouldn't have been interested if not for the talented and lovely Kong Hyo-jin. |
Marvel's Agent Carter - another great find. Season 1 eps 1-8. |
