Night-time watching is always the best. Zero interference or distractions only maybe for toilet breaks and such lol

Wow that was quick - you finished Good Doctor. Well most dramas can be finised in 2-3 days so long as they aren't more than 24 episodes. Some freaks (like me ) can watch a 16-episode drama in 24 hours

That was in the early days anyway. Now I'm trying to curb those excesses. Have to get a life lol cos one can't survive on watching K-dramas lmao

I'll focus on just following this week's ongoing episodes. I'll leave my marathon watching for the weekend.

She didn't get him/her in Sk scandal,
She didn't get him in Moon Embracing the Sun,
She didn't get him in Baby Faced Beauty either.

There's another historical drama Painter of the Wind where a woman disguised as a man. A master painter fell in love with him/her, and so did another woman- Moon Chae Won-. In fact, both women won a best couple award, lol.

hhaaaha just like in SSchool Scandal, when the gisaeng chick fell in love with the male Park Min young It was painful to watch really. Lol

You got that right! I first saw him in Inspiring Generation in a minor role and I was like I've got to see him again. Then I watched Moon Embracing the sun and I was hooked. I'm so glad he's finally gotten his own drama.
It's a good thing the usual leading guys are getting enlisted, it'll give other actors time to shine.

True...but there's a reason they usually came second they might not have the winning formula acting to make a drama reach those top ratings. Still, I like the idea of giving others a chance. So yes, will be totally rooting for Song Jae-rim in Unkind Women

Yup. E. Ki and SK scandal did pretty well with the cross-dressing theme. There's another drama I stumbled upon where the girl pretended to be a boy and got into a boys dorm. I can't remember the name, as I haven't even watched it.

Could that be Blade and Petal (Sword and Flower)?? I too just remembered that the female lead had to disguise as a boy to infiltrate a spy school. I loved the way the male lead kept wondering where he'd seen her face before lol. I totally love that drama.

Yikes I just realized that Song Jae-rim (romantic lead in Unkind Ladies) was actually Kim Soo-hyun's bodyguard in Moon Embraces the Sun. Oh my gawd he didn't say much then but I remember I thought he looked hot. How nice he's having his own drama now. PDs (production directors) and networks are now focusing on lesser known leads now that most of the first-pick guys are going off to the Military for the next two years or so

I've checked it out. Seeing some familiar faces in the cast, especially the matured characters. I've never watched a drama from the two main leads though. It looks like fun, though comedies are not my forte I will check this out.

SK scandal, Empress Ki and Coffee prince are all I've watched with that theme. I wish there were more as it's so funny watching the guy agonize over his feelings for the other boy(girl).
Coffee prince is an old drama, 2007. That's why the images are like that, but it's cool despite all that. The girl didn't really look different after her coming out as a girl. She was still as flat chested as before, lol.

Asian women are basically flat chested so that's nothing new. From all those centuries of tying their chests to look like prepubescent boys all through their lives Back then women were supposed to look 13 forever lol. Now you hardly see an Asian with 'assets' and besides, they're comfortable with their bodies that way.

I think SK scandal and Empress Ki handled the cross-dressing theme very well. As for Coffee Prince and U're Beautiful, I'll keep them on ice. Funny enough 89% of K-dramas involve the woman performing some form of cross-dressing. Either to get into a certain school, a job or to hide a secret But we can't have enough of it so yeah, more please. lol

I got mine for 78k in January. It depends on where and when you get it. The pearl white is awesome though might look girly for a guy. The metal finish makes me want to lick my phone sometimes Jokes. But the screen rendition is top of the line. I don't know much about Android phones or phones for that matter but the A series are the freaking bomb for a mid-range line.

Yep already know those two. Coffee Prince is cool but it looks really outdated in the filming. I mean the images look like they were really made in 2001 or something. I'm not a fan of the lead male, but I will try and finish episode one. I like the lead female she's cool. Not sure how she'll look as a woman but as a boy I like how Park Min Young looked even when dressed as a boy. And Empress Ki was awesome. I'm actually watching a few episodes as I reminisce on the good old days when I first saw the drama

I saw one of your past posts, about liking k-dramas with those homo-elements. I thought it was just me lol. Is it weird to see the male lead getting confused over feelings for a girl he thinks is a boy? (like in Sungkyunkwan Scandal ) and so many other k-dramas have that. I'm trying to think of more but if you know any maybe you could list them. I mean those similar to the SSchool Scandal. I'm trying to remember the ones I know but can't

Lool. It was one of the highest rated KBS dramas of last year, and won lots of awards including the Deasang/ Grand prize- highest award- at the KBS drama awards for the lead actor. ( Although he also starred in Jeong Do Jeon another ratings success of KBS). You should totally check it out when you have the time.

Whoooa Daesang/Grand Prize?? Then I definitely will check it out asap. Will just have to ration myself to a few episodes a day I used to avoid family dramas like a plague no matter how good. But since the review is coming from you I'm truly interested now. If I can follow through the 100+ episodes of King's Daughter (Su baek Hyang) then 50 or so episodes should be a piece of cake lol.

You guys need to see 'What Happens to my Family' I know it's long-53 episodes- , but we all did watch Empress Ki of 51 episodes. It's so wow! I'm watching the final episode tomorrow, and I'm crying already. I haven't cried since Empress Ki. The drama is just the best...

I've been hearing about this drama. About how great it is and of course the ratings are out of the roof. I saw that it won a lot of awards for best actor, actress, screenplay and couple at KBS. Wow--if I'm to start I'm worried I won't have time for anything else cos I can get so absorbed Also the fact that the episodes are all available I'm just going to keep watching and watching non-stop so yeah, no self-control

How interesting is secret door? I will watch it throughout tomorrow.

Secret Door was beautifully shot and I normally love historical dramas. I didn't get to watch this past the first three episodes. It has a great premise and starts out well but didn't pull me in at all. My verdict? Try it out and decide A little trivia - Lee Je-hoon the lead male won best actor for his role in this drama, which is incredible considering the drama's low ratings. People really commended him for his effort. Do check it out and let us know.

Ommggg my bad it's my phone's keyboard autocorrect that puts me in all sorts of trouble I typed Ji and it corrected it into Kitchen and I must have missed it. I definitely meant Ji Chang Wook. Wow, I didn't know it was from Empress Ki they started calling him 'Puppy'. Uggh I loved them together in that drama - I was definitely shipping Sungyang and the Emperor and NOT her and Wang yu.

I started Coffee Prince and it's very nice, the girl is soo funny in ep 01.

I'm glad u like Good Doctor. Joo Won was amazing there. So believable and the chemistry... Wow. It suited him perfectly (the role) just like Healer fitted Kitchen Chang Wook so well

Actors should always seek that defining role that can bring out their best potential.

Choi Jin Hyuk in Gu Family Book simply made my ovaries dance ugh he was so mesmerizing and yes, that kiss was AWWWWsome!!

The two you mentioned above, 7 and 10 are my absolute FAVES gosh. I wish I could remember more kisses - though in Empress Ki I won't lie, every Ha Ji Won + Ji Chang Wook kiss was a Best Kiss

Thanks, I heard so much about Coffee Prince and I've had it in store for a while. But I was able to download Secret yesterday and I saw some great reviews so I'm all for it. I feel bad for dissing Ji Sung all this while he's no Ji Chang Wook but he has a certain appeal. Sorry Ji Sung fans, no offence

I've watched a few of your faves too. I'm gearing to watch Secret after I see Coffee Prince. I want to turn into a Ji Sung fan by force so I can then watch Kill Me Heal me with an open mind.

I just saw a So Ji Sub movie named ALWAYS. It blew me away.. I know u say u prefer dramas to movies but I hope u take an hour or so to check out this awesome film. Gosh! I'm still just dazed by his acting range.

Lol, I think if all the big names such as Park Yoochun, Ji Changwook and others go off to serve it will leave space for all those second-lead guys to shine for once.

U've probably seen most of the dramas I've watched. But pls try Good Doctor.. You will see how a female lead can successfully handle a medical drama.. And also build chemistry from an impossible situation. That woman is awesome and I hope Ku Hye sun can copy her for this latest vampire medical drama Blood.

The drama is following the latest trends in terms of crazy themes.. This one has a girl who miraculously survived an accident and can now "see" smells. The guy survived the same accident but after waking from a 3 day coma he no longer has the sense of smell, taste and can not feel pain

You want to see Joo Won? Me too! Lee Min Ho definitely has a new drama this year. Lee Seung Gi has a film out recently but not sure about a drama in the works.

Oh, and Yoochun is going on Military service right after this drama so his fans are vowing to support his upcoming drama no matter what

New Drama alert from Park Yoochun!

I've been hoping for a drama from him and finally it's happening.

This drama has been bounced around for a while with actors shying away from its unique theme. Just like with Kill Me Heal Me, it finally took ONE person to decide he can pull it off.

“Sensory Couple” is the working
title, and it was reported on February 27 that
Park Yoochun and Shin Se Kyung are
confirmed to star in the new SBS drama.
Because miss A‘s Suzy turned down the role
to now be played by Shin Se Kyung, many
were curious as to who will be confirmed for
the drama.

Shin Se Kyung was the female lead in Blade Man and she was the main reason I didn't go past episode 2. I hope she won't ruin this drama for my Yoochun!!

The drama will air in April. That's around the same time Woo Bin's new drama Jeju Gatsby starts. Wow wow wow.

@Aida13, I'm starting Blood next week Monday as I usually begin a new drama 2 weeks after its initial broadcast. I didn't even know that my sexy voice Jin Yi Han is in 'The Family is Coming'. Is he a main character there?

He's definitely the male lead here. Though you might not be happy about the reviews lol. Apparently the OTPs don't have enough chemistry to please his fans. Most people are just watching this for him, nothing more.

Sure, take your time with Blood. It's slowly making waves. I hope it can go the whole distance of its 20 episodes without falling flat.. So far so good though, loving it.
