Umm----it could be, I dunno, p o i s o n e d?? |
ellab:@ellab I'm discovering new music from the OST for Healer, like the instrumentals named Highlight as well as the song "Lonely". So thanks for adding another one. Since it's "Wookie" I'll definitely go look for it ASAP. I need to know if my bae can sing as well as he can act ![]() @ dead fish kisses....**faints** ![]() @ love triangles, noble idiocy, second lead syndrome--- you are so on point lol. I just noticed Healer had none of that. They just had so many other great characters you couldn't help rooting for. I'm just still in a daze because it was all so freaking good. I guess you're one of the group that watched Healer as an ongoing series. So you felt all the magic of following it week by week, reading recaps and checking out the fan sites. I missed all that **sad face** lol Maybe that's why you're getting those withdrawal symptoms I for one, am just thankful to have seen one good drama this first quarter of 2015. The writers, PD and just the whole team that worked on Healer, deserve massive props. I honestly liked this 200% more than that Pinocchio everyone raves about. Oh, and I still think Wookie's Emperor role in Empress Ki is my favorite to date. Him as Healer is a very close second. I just love his chemistry with Ha Ji Won. Now he's shown us he can play cute, hot, tough and funny all in one drama. So awesome. And that's such a dreamy pic of him. THANK you. |
Atk01:Thanks for reminding me about Highlight - went and found it, love the harmony. Lots of strings (guitar?) and lots of piano. Really can picture this as a great wake-up call in the morning. Or maybe for sending me to sleep----lol it's already in my K-drama playlist now along with the rest of the OST. Just for the memories I'll be listening to it, even with no lyrics ![]() |
Much as I love this cover I'm not happy with the photoshopping. blurring and smoothing out their features till they're almost unreal to look at lol |
Winding down to mentioning the fifth of my top 5 actors I just thought it wouldn't be fair to name just one. So I grouped up my top hot actors known as the "Eye-Candy Set" who just make my screen sizzle. But happen to have just one drama or so that I liked them in. Hopefully I can make a solid decision on number 5 soon, but till then enjoy just please don't judge me ![]() lol Okayyyyy drumroll... The following smexy actors who make the group of my 'fifth' top 5 fave: Zo In-sung ---- It's Ok That's Love (just, omg. He's flawless) So Ji-sub ---- Master's Sun (This guy's effortlessly cool and hot - lol if that's possible) Hyun Bin ---- Secret Garden (known to possess possibly the best b u t t , in K-drama world) Lee Sang-yoon ---- Angel Eyes, Goddess of Fire (good golly those dimples Jo Hyun-jae ---- Su Baek Hyang King's Daughter (Mr. JHJ is the ultimate male lead. The end) *** All together they're tied in to make the fifth member of my Top 5 k-drama all-stars. They're commendable as actors in their own right but trust me, when I watch these guys I don't much focus on their acting ability What can I say, girls like their eye candy too.I hope the list appeals to a majority out there. Though it's all about personal taste really so I can't expect others to agree with my views. I just know that I've watched a lot of dramas over the last year but these guys have made their impact. I look forward to discovering more awesome actors who make watching K-dramas worthwhile. Peace ![]()

Ji Chang-wook Defining roles ----- Warrior Baek Dong Soo, Empress Ki, Healer I'll be lying to myself if I didn't include him on my top 5 list. He's one of those actors who get better with each drama. I hope that trend continues for him after Healer. He was fun to watch in Warrior Baek Dong Soo. And then he upped his game in Empress Ki. He made me laugh, yell and then cry at the screen all through his scenes. He's an actor that made crying look so cool Watching him grieve over Sunyang was so cute and emotive. While in Healer, he matured a lot. Gave us a meatier role to remember him for. I hope he stays focused and selects his dramas this well in future. He's definitely earned his space in my top fave actors ever.Happily, he has something new coming up again in 2015 - - - - the upcoming film "Two Constables". He won't be the sole main actor but still, he's going to get his chance to shine and I can't wait!
|
Park Yoo Chun Defining roles - Sungkyunkwan Scandal, Rooftop Prince He really pulled off his role in this drama (Sungkyunkwan Scandal). So very believable as a stiff-necked genius-type guy I can't get over how he mooned over his love interest. His emotions whether hard or soft just strikes my imagination. I'm planning on watching more of his dramas/movies. He's funny in Rooftop Prince though I was afraid to really like it too much. But when around his friends he really shone so it was all good. Can't wait to see him with a really good female lead to bring out the best in his acting. Also, he's actually one of the few actors who've received awards in every drama/movie he's done. Now that's awesome ![]()
|
My other Top Five actors in no particular order; Joo Won Defining roles---- Good Doctor, Bridal Mask, Tomorrow's Cantabile He was mesmerizing in all three of the above named dramas. I don't care much about whether he's the most 'hot' or 'gorgeous' by Hallyu standards but this guy can spark up the screen. I really liked him in Tomorrow's Cantabile and how he always looked like a well-dressed sculpture Almost too perfect hahha.

My Top 5 K-drama male leads Lee Jun Ki aka Lee Joon-gi For me it's Lee Jun Ki and then other actors It's been a year since I started watching K-dramas and Lee Jun Ki in Arang and the Magistrate was my first ever taste of the wonderful world of K-dramas. From the first scene closeup of his face I was like BLAM! Unforgettable eyes and he's such a smooth, effortless actor. And he can fight some hot martial arts scenes! His defining roles for me are: - King and Clown --- wow, awesome acting here. I just couldn't deal with how good he was here. You guys NEED to check out this film, one of his first major breakout roles - Arang and the Magistrate ---- No drama has ever struck me like this one. Maybe Kang Chi Gu Family Book was close. But this drama is one of kind and I'm happy it was my first because it encouraged me to watch more K-dramas. Imagine if I'd started with a rubbish one - Gunman in Joseon ----- His chemistry with his female leads just slays me. This one was no exception. Their love was just so powerful to watch. And Lee Jun Ki plays the hero so well, you don't care about much else about the drama ![]() *** I'm looking forward to completing more of his dramas, such as Iljimae, My Girl and Two Weeks. But I really want to see him in more saguek/historical dramas. He's in his early thirties and isn't one of those 90's babies Hallyu stars reigning now . But he gives a solid performance every time so I believe he'll still be around for a long while, getting those big roles. I wish him the best!

Atk01:I'm starting my list off today lol nothing fancy, just little snips about actors I totally bias!!! Thanks for commending my taste, that means a lot!OK, the Healer OST. All I can say is OMGGG. I'm listening to it all effing day since I started watching Healer. There are only four songs I know of. Two have English lyrics. When You Hold Me Tight by Yael Meyer and Eternal Love by Michael Learns To Rock (MLTR) The other two are awesome! I find myself bursting out singing Never gonna let you goooo out of nowhere and everyone gives me that side eye look ![]() Gosh. I'm just so pumped about Healer. I was setting myself up to be disappointed after episode one but it got so much better. I think the magic of having a great drama - have more than 4 or 5 other stimulating characters. Just don't depend on the 2 main leads to carry the show. To me, all the other actors also contributed. From their 'uncle' mentor news guy, to the Ahjumma, Healer's teacher, the guys at the Coffee Bay...lol I'm not so good with memorizing the names of characters. Even the guys at the security firm SS were so funny ![]() Phew don't get me going on Healer ooo. One of the few dramas I felt refreshed after watching. Not those ones you will cry cry till the end and just feel drained when the drama is over. Very happy for Ji Chang Wook - he needed a fab comeback after Empress Ki. Because when you play an Emperor role you can't just go downhill from there, right? You have to keep winning Now if only Ha Ji Won will do a saguek drama soon... |
kallmemrB:My day was good, thanks. I'll check out Fool's Love, wonder why I haven't heard anything about it. I try to keep my finger on the K-drama pulse even though I might not watch everything that comes out. I will wait a bit for Shine or Go Crazy. If possible till it closes. I enjoyed Healer in a flowing marathon and thank goodness I have no regrets jare ![]() So disappointed in Hyde Jekyll Me. Was so looking forward to Hyun Bin on screen again but it falls flat at ep 3 and I don't even want to continue. I hear it picks up from ep 8 but who's going to stick around for that. I blame the female lead. She was so washy in Rooftop Prince and almost ruined it. She does NOT know how to act imo. Thinking of picking up That Winter The Wind Blows, I'm sort of missing Zo In-sung's face And my second ever crush Kim Bum is there too, so it's win-win for me. Looking forward to any more of your recommendations ![]() ***modified Ok, just found out that Fool's Love is also known as Ho-Goo's Love which I've definitely heard about. The lead guy is that cute face one from Rooftop Prince Maybe I'll check out one episode at least. I'm not so familiar with that network (tVn) but they do make unique dramas so let's see how it goes. |
Atk01:She looked really bad in the first few episodes of Master's Sun and I was thinking, what? Of all the female K-drama leads I've ever seen she looked like the most un-hot. But I saw that they made her look that way because of what she was going through with the ghosts. She looked cool much later. Also, in It's OK That's Love she wasn't bad. I fell for her acting mostly. She builds great chemistry. Always number one on my list of K-drama leading men will be Lee Jun Ki OK, it's obvious I'm obsessed with this bae.Surprise additions will include Lee Min Ho (I used to be indifferent to him but after Heirs, I'm a believer lol) Also, the Hyun Bin in Secret Garden, the Joo Sang Wook in Birth of a Beauty and the So Ji Sub in Master's Sun - you see that with these guys I liked them in a certain role. So it's basically the 'characters' they played at that certain point that hooked me. Not saying I might be a die-hard fan per se. Will definitely make time soon for my fave smexy dreamy K-drama male hotties soon. Lmao |
hilda90:YES! Totally. Agree with you on Ji Chang Wook in Empress Ki. You'd never even remember they have an age gap that makes her his noona For a young man he knows how to make romance seem so real. In Warrior Baek Dong Soo, he was soo precious And in Healer he was just...ugh I wanted to just keep re-watching each lovey-dovey scene.Ku Hye Sun - people complain about this woman but I absolutely LOVE HER. She has that face. I dunno. Cute, sexy and still cool. Loved her in Angel Eyes. Didn't even recognize her with the woman in Boys Before Flowers - though I haven't even watched up to 5 episodes. Will definitely go watch it to the end soon. I'm looking forward to My Girl, all because of Lee Jun Ki ![]() |
Atk01:Hotel King - ok, 32, not bad. I guess I'll skip it for now then. It was cued on my download list, once I finish with the final downloads of My Girl and To the Beautiful You. Healer is the f-ing BOMB. LOL. Shall we say, Ji Chang Wook can create chemistry even with a piece of wood ?? I like your fave actresses list! I have five that I really admire and will be happy to watch anything they bring out, in order of preference: _ Ha Ji-Won (Empress Ki, 100 Days with Mr. Arrogant) _ Gianna Jun (You Who Came from the Stars) _ Park Min-Young (Healer, Sungkunkwan Scandal) _ Ku Hye-Sun (Angel Eyes, Blood, Boys Before Flowers) _ Gong Hyo-Jin (Master's Sun, It's Ok that's Love. My surprise addition - she finally won me over and she's actually very lovely) lol don't get me started on my fave K-drama male actors They're just few but I'll do a good 'feature' soon with pics and everything.Definitely playing catch-up with all the K-drama veterans and watching as many good ones as I can ![]() |
Woooww nice, but even as an adult I'll pass on cooking the head or feet - scaring stuff ![]() |
I.LOVE.HEALER. Hahha. Every character is so amazing. I'm not done, still at ep 19 but I'm glad I waited to enjoy this at one go instead of waiting week to week. Ji Chang Wook really made me happy with his role here. So refreshing. And I loved the female lead, who was from Sungkunkwan Scandal. She's one of my top 5 Korean actresses. One of these days, I'll draw up a list of my top 5 of both male and female K-drama actors. For now, downloading Hotel King, To the Beautiful You, My Girl, Gap Dong and Full House. They're all averaging 16 episodes each which is fine with me. I can then hope to go through them quickly. Trying to meet up with the likes of @kallmemrB who've seen a few hundred k-dramas ![]() Hope everyone has a great week!! |
keandre:haahha yes exactly. But when you think of needing a mobile wifi for your iPad, a home wireless for ur PC, and then of course connecting your BB and Android on the go - imagine all the data plans involved. It's not an exaggeration, especially for the unschooled few. It's a shame really how gullible we can be when new to this IT stuff. These providers have already made 200% of their profit so why feel sympathy for them?? |
Tweaks and cheats....well I think its fair when I consider the wrongfully expensive data plans we pay for whether on PC, BB or Android. I used to spend up to #15k monthly on internet across all my devices. And the data usage was never enough. In the UK you'll get impressive data for that same price. In short for those who can enjoy those tweaks, go ahead. These providers have made untold billions in this market and no improved service. |
kallmemrB:I've downloaded up to 16 episodes of Rosy Lovers - will download up to 20 then stop. Don't want to find out I'm not really into it after downloading 36+ episodes lol. The only dramas I've watched that have so many episodes are Empress Ki and Subaek Hyan (King's Daughter) wow... those two were my dream dramas. I hope Shine or Go Crazy will meet my expectations. I've had so many let-down dramas recently. But even the title of this drama is catchy - I'll definitely start it soon if Jekyll Hyde doesn't work out. Enjoy the rest of the weekend ! |
am currently watching it's okay that's love, stopped at where they got to know dat the writer is hallucinating the young boy,i was really surprised,he was so real... for three good years.... his prob is greater than dat of his girlfriend@shokky24 omggg girrrlll you and spoilers eeehhhh LOL next time put "SPOILER ALERT" in front of your post if you're going to expose a big reveal from a drama...I'm watching Healer right now and you just slightly ruined the mystery ![]() That's how I was watching "It's OK That's Love" and unwisely went to one of those fan sites, and somehow got to read the truth about that young boy and I wanted to kick myself for reading that spoiler - really 'spoiled' much of the drama for me. Since then I don't research a drama while I'm watching it no matter how curious I am. For the record though, It's OK That's Love is one of the BEST dramas I've seen recently. Also the first where I felt the producers had perfectly mapped out the episodes from start to finish even before they started filming. Even now the OST and the chemistry between the two leads gives me goose bumps. |
When they say "new photos" and just put up two measly shots that don't do her justice I just smh. What's so amazing about these uninspiring photos? I think she just looks OK. Nothing to write home about so what's the fuss. |
Atk01:So I heard...I get really pissed when I download a whole drama and end up not finishing it lol like with 3 Days, I really struggled but gave up at episode 09. So many good dramas out there so why waste time with a lacklustre one? Lol I think we're used to watching dramas that thrill us from the first 3 episodes. So when a new drama is taking 8 episodes to wow us, then u know something is wrong. @kallmemrB I'm good, thanx. I've been downloading Rosy Lovers, looking forward to watcching it thanks to ur recommendations Shine or Go Crazy...looking forward to starting it soon. I wish these networks will take time and work on their stories and choose actors with good chemistry. |
Atk01:Definitely want to see Ha Ji Won ![]() These writers need to come up with something better if they want the mega stars to select their drama/script. Same goes for the others you mentioned. They have to be careful choosing their next series. However, being picky means they'll have to make us the fans wait indefinitely ![]() |
Atk01:Wow so she was (in Sunkyunkwan Scandal). I see she gets some really powerful roles - always linked to either the male or female lead. I haven't seen Baby Faced Beauty or I Miss U. I have I Miss U waiting on my PC to watch. I read in one review that it was a hot mess lol. Wasn't happy to see that but I will still check it out because of the male lead. |
hilda90:U are so on point with Faith. That was my first Lee Min Ho drama and after 3 episodes I dropped it. Hyun Bin is cool but his acting seems off this time - esp when he plays Hyde. Fans say his smiling face looks scary like too forced. Weak storyline, low chemistry with the leads---I'm not happy at all with these latest dramas but what can one do lol |
hilda90:Wow u are soo right, I thought I was the only one that thinks these new dramas just don't have that "it's a bomb" factor. Maybe later in 2015...who knows. I'm dreaming of a breakout drama similar to Empress Ki and My Love From Another Star. Fingers crossed, one of the studios will achieve that feat. |
Atk01:Yes I love dat Ahjumma lol In all her dramas she stands out (I've seen her in Heirs, It's Ok that's Love, Master's Sun. Wow so many ) All she does in Healer is look trashy and make kimbap (sushi roll) all day lmaoo but yes, she cleans up good. |
Atk01:Ahh King's Face...wow I dropped it after ep 05, the female lead was annoying me. Even tho I'm nuts for historical dramas somehow this one lost me -_- lol Healer is OK, the storyline is very nice. Just that it gets slow for me. At ep 11 and it's not bad. |
hilda90:Hey People are complaining of Jekyll Hyde...I'm in ep 04 and it's somehow slow. Not really happy with the set-up but I'm a fan of the two leads, so I'll keep watching. |
@Atk01 What's popping?? That Korea trip thing is still but a dream lmao but I'm consoling myself with some Healer/Jekyll&Hyde episodes ATM. |
Hmmm----really feeling the following: - Fresh Off the Boat - Empire - Black-ish These are some really great drama series. Never knew what I was missing till I checked them out. Now I'm playing catch-up Can't wait for more episodes of Empire. Go Taraji babayylol |
Everyone has their bad days. Women most especially. It could be their periods, stress or lack of sleep or whatever that can cause a normally smooth-skinned female to have breakouts or wrinkles. These fade away when the irritants/triggers are eliminated. Beyonce definitely doesn't look like this now, uh uh. Besides, that's some really bad makeup she has on and it's making her look worse. Someone should advice Bey that the smokey eye look is NOT for her. Not every girl can pull the trend off. |

I for one, am just thankful to have seen one good drama this first quarter of 2015.
