Phones / Re: Nigeria Is Ready For 5G Says NCC by Aigbogun01: 3:40pm On Jun 16, 2019
What carrier are you using?
michlins:
You guys might not believe it but Nigeria has a faster mobile data than some part of USA. Fact is that most of them Yankee people use Wi-Fi but 80-90% here are on mobile. I get close to 2MB/sec on Glo which is equivalent to 16mb/sec on H+

Now check the speed and we are on par and even better than many countries. But as usual, we don't expect anything good to come out of Nigeria and are quick to rubbish whatever thing we have

No. They don't. But they need to work actively on fixing issues like this and train pilots on all updates to their system.

2k dollars is small money. Very small for a celebrity of Wizkids status. She is even pitying him by settling for this amount trust me. By the time they approach the court and lawyers and accountants come together to calculate what he should pay, Wizkid will become a preacher against babymama. They will freeze his income and deduct all outstanding child support before the money makes it to his account. He will become broke and even start begging fans for money to eat.

Each time you look at a girl and plan to have unprotected sex with her, when you are not married to her. Just have it in the back of your mind that you will be working hard to take care of any child that comes out of that act for a long time. So think well before you have sex with anything that moves.

He’s a mumu boy! Lol! But 2k is not small money. She should rest. Western world women especially the black ones build a career as Baby Mama and painfully Nigerian women have joined that bad gang because we don’t have cultural identity.

Anyway their cup of tea.

For once I'm on the baby mama's side, yes, she may have 'trapped' him with pregnancy but who is more foolish than wizkid who chose to slide in unprotected?

She is not asking for an increment in child support but that he should honor the agreement both their lawyers made which I think is fair. Also $2000 by American standard for a rich kid is not much...I get that people are already converting to Naira but they both live abroad.

Lastly, young men and women if you know you are heading somewhere in life, dont mortgage your future with short term pleasure.

Who told you it’s small money. Saying what you don’t know. Pack well joor.

Wizkid is irresponsible unlike Davido that takes care of his children.

Will you keep quiet!!!
Lol!
You think $2000 a month is joke. At her place of work. Does she make upto $2000 a month.
She should chill. Wiz kid is taking care of his kids. She just wants the extra money to live the extravagant life most women in America live.

Ooh no you got me wrong all along ....my calling for her retirement is NOT because she lost to a 20 year old but more of her failing physical and mental strength. Look at the age range of all those she lost to in the finals recently, you will agree, she can't match their strength or rather struggling to match them.

She is still fit to play. She just needs to work on her stamina. Childbirth and blood clothing is a lot. She should still be able to play for a year more before focusing on other things and diversifying.
No lady have had her kind of come back. Not Azerenka or Sharapova. Not even any of this young ones is as steady as she is.
Respect a back woman who was able to pave herself through the lily-white world of Tennis.

I'm a strong advocate of rule of law.
A faul is a faul regardless of the status of whoever commits it.

Until it's established that WTF confirms that a coach giving a thumb up to a player is cheating, then I summit to their rules. But if not, she was clearly cheated on.

So far, Serena's sins to me is ranting at the umpire.

I agree with you.

The problem with a lot of Nigerians is they just type with the little knowledge of what they have about any situation instead of going into details.
Ramos coached Nadal’s game and his coach did the same thing over and over but was not penalized. He was not wrong but too heavy handed but clearly her coach sent some signals but she was not watching to see her coach’s signal and Osaka’s coach did the same thing but was not penalized.
Secondly she is first woman we are seeing a year after her childbirth came back to tennis and have gotten to two semi-finals even after battling with health issues continuously.
She is also the first tennis player I have seen who does not know her opponent till an hour before the game. She is always unbothered and plays her best. She takes the game naturally as problem solving and although she cares about loosing but learns a lot from her loses.
Finally we are here attacking her but she still got $1.85milliom for getting to the finals.
Of course she was Osaka’s idol and Osaka has studied her play for too long.
She just would need to work on her stamina as since she put to birth she does not like to play a point for a long time and that worked against her.
So we should still learn to appreciate people’s success regardless of their wins and loses.
Culture / Re: 10 Things Most Nigerians Do Not Know About Slavery by Aigbogun01: 3:31am On Oct 07, 2016
2. Most slaves were close to their captors

We pointed out that slavery was in existence in Africa before the arrival of the Europeans and that a black man officially started slavery. That is not the end of the story, it gets worse. Most slaves were close to their captors? As a historian recounted;

“During my stay on the coast of Africa, I was an eye-witness of the following transaction: a black trader invited a Negro, who resided a little, way up the country, to come and see him. After the entertainment was over, the trader proposed to his guest, to treat him with a sight of one of the ships lying in the river. The unsuspicious countryman readily consented, and accompanied the trader in a canoe to the side of the ship, which he viewed with pleasure and astonishment. While he was thus employed, some black traders on board, who appeared to be in the secret, leaped into the canoe, seized the unfortunate man, and dragging him into the ship, immediately sold him.”

This person seized and captured who travelled within Africa and finally transported as a Slave was "Olaudah Equiano" .... so the post is right.

Google the name

You can have a visa and when you want to change your status, you don't need to apply from Nigeria. Go to Canada and apply. My friend did it2years back and his status was changed in canada.

@Aigbogun01

You did not say the term you're applying for or what your undergraduate degree was based on, so I'm just going to go ahead and assume you're applying for winter 2016 and that your undergraduate degree is directly related to your current pursuit (E.g Electrical/Electronics Engineering or something along those lines). These are my thoughts:

1) Graduated 2014: This puts you in a very good place in terms of study gap issues. As such the burden of defending your "purpose of visit" is much lighter.

2) Meng Program: That you're pursuing a Masters' program in a related discipline works nicely in your favour. It shows clear academic progression and works closely with point (1) to clear doubts as to your "purpose of visit".

3) Parent Sponsors: This is also very good, very positive. You do not need notarization or affidavits of sponsorship documents.

4) Tuition 14K CAD: Assuming room and board and other miscellaneous expenses amount to 15K yearly, you would be needing a total of about 30K CAD. That would be around 5 million nairas approximated upwardly. If your sponsors can provide you with an account balance of 8 - 10 million nairas, I think you would be solid.

5) Sponsors self-employed: You would need to provide proof of their employment, such as business registration documents, tax clearance certificates, as well as proof of other assets they may possess.

Following from the above, especially from points (1), (2) and (3), you do not need to worry yourself about further proving home ties, travel histories and employments. Focus on making sure that you're in good financial standing (8-10 million nairas) and your application would be successful by God's grace. Wish you the very best.

If you have other questions, I'll be willing to help with answers.

Thanks alot. My admission was for fall 2015 but is opened for January and may session. My undergraduate course was Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Your thoughts were on point.

First off, congratulations. It's good you're thinking of applying early. I would offer my suggestions if you would answer the following questions:

1) What was your undergraduate degree based on?
2) When did you complete undergraduate studies?
3) What have you been doing (by way of employment/professional development) since the completion of your undergraduate studies and now?
4) What term are you applying for?
5) What are your tuition costs?
6) Do you have a sponsor? If yes, what is your relationship with your sponsor? Is your sponsor employed or a business owner?

That's all for now.

Thanks alot. Graduated 2014. Just finished nysc July 2nd. Working with my mum in her school since I finished nysc. Lol!..well my fee is about 14k CAD but that's outside accommodation, feeding and transportation.
My parents are my sponsors but it's a lot of sacrifice. They are self employed.

I will strongly advise you read through some pages of these thread, as you would see the submissions some people on this thread have made.
Home ties simply mean what is tying you to your Country. What will make you return to your Country after your short stay abroad. Could be family, fixed assets, good family situation (which would be evidenced by statement of account) etc. But to be honest with you, I don't know how those VO's measure the strength of one's home ties; because someone with assets (landed properties, fat bank acct bal. etc) still get refused, while another with no declared asset may be approved. So don't get discouraged.
Travel history as it sounds, history of your past foreign trips. This is an advantage too, but not a barrier.
Your statement of account bal will depend on your tuition fees, accommodation cost and other living expenses, so I cant really say how much is ideal except I knw how much ur tuition is. Just take things cool, don't get desperate or be under unnecessary pressure or fear, else you'll start making mistakes and may get refused.

Thanks a lot bros.
