The police in Osun state have arraigned a 28- year-old student of the Osun State University, on Wednesday, September 28, and charged the suspect with the kidnapping of two missing students. The suspect identified as Adedamola Olagoke was according to reports, the last person to speak with the missing duo, Samuel Eke and Akinduro Robert who are students of the same university before their disappearance. Adedamola was arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrates Court. The missing duo is students of the Computer Science Department of the varsity and was declared missing on September 5. Samuel and Akinduro are reported to have gone to Ogidan Junction after the suspect is alleged to have asked them to meet him, but the duo has been nowhere to be found since 10:54 on that fateful day. Adedamola is alleged to have conspired with other culprits who are at large, to have the two students kidnapped. The accused was arrested by the police on September 10, five days after the students went missing. Adedamola pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge bordering on unlawful imprisonment and kidnapping. Mr Kazeem Badmus, counsel to the accused, prayed the court to admit Adedamola to bail giving assurance that Adedamola would not be a hindrance to the investigations. According to Badmus, Adedamola is asthmatic, a health condition which has been communicated to the police. However, the Magistrate who presided over the case, Falilat Sodamade, ordered that the accused be remanded in prison and adjourned the case to October 6, for mention.

At last, an Indian businessman who assaulted his Nigerian employee and left her with serious injuries has been arrested after being on the run. The long arm of the law has finally caught up with an Indian billionaire businessman, Jay Keswani, who assaulted his wife's domestic help , Faith Nwaneri, in their Banana Island, Ikoyi, Lagos State home, as he has been arrested by the State Police Command. The arrest of Keswani who allegedly assaulted Nwaneri in August, came following the intervention of the Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Response Team, led by its Coordinator, Lola Vivour- Adeniyi, after the victim's family reported the matter to her office in Alausa. Keswani was arrested by the police operatives from the Adeniji Adele Division after evading arrest for over six weeks. Recall that Nwaneri's brother, Chukwuka Ignatius, had brought the case of the assault to the public on August 12, 2016, when he narrated how his sister was beaten up by the Indian man for reporting to work late. The victim suffered facial injuries and severe trauma after the attack and the case was reported to the Ikoyi Police Division but when policemen went to the Island to invite him for interrogation, they were prevented from going in to serve him notice by the security men. Commenting on the arrest of the suspect, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Dolapo Badmos, said he would be charged to court at the end of an investigation. "The police arrested him on Tuesday. He was nabbed by the Adeniji Adele division. He was tracked to his house. When the suspect discovered that the police were on the lookout for him, he initially fled. But when he thought the tension was down, he returned to his house and was arrested". The family support unit of the division is in charge of the case. The Indian has not confessed to the crime, but all the evidence before the police indicate that he assaulted the lady. He will be charged to court. http://opera.pulse.ng/gist/justice-at-last-indian-billionaire-who-assaulted-female-employee-arrested-months-after-id5546454.html

I once heard a story of how a Pastor gave a warning that no-one should pay less than a specified amount of money he told them of.. Not minding the fact that all hands are not equal. The amount of money you find in churches such as HOUSE ON THE ROCK on a normal sunday cannot and will not compare to the amount of money you'll find in churches just springing up belonging to a ''one-man establishment''... So how much do y'all think is the most common currency found in churches? I think mine should be N100 |
