Arguments are bound to happen in every relationship. If you’re in a relationship with a Nigerian woman and you’re having a fight, some statements you make just add unnecessary fuel to a fire that’s already raging. If you want peace, here are some things you should never say to a Nigerian woman during an argument. 1. ‘Why are you shouting?’ 2. ‘Okay’ 3. ‘I’ve heard’ 4. ‘Calm down’ 5. ‘Whatever’ 6. ‘You can do whatever you like’ 7. ‘Why are you being emotional?’ 8. ‘Let me talk’ 9. ‘Are you on your period?’ 10. ‘It’s really not a big deal’ 11. ‘Can we talk about this later?’ 12. ‘Your wahala is too much’ 13. ‘Is that why you’re now angry?’ 14. ‘What do you want me to say?’ 15. *silence* 16. *laughter* 17. ‘You’re wrong’ 18. 'You’re overreacting' Which other ones do you guys think should fit in? |

Flamboyant relationship consultant and Lagos- based socialite, Joro Olumofin, has penned an interesting piece on 'Runs Girls'... its a must read! Popular Lagos-based Psychologist and Relationship therapist, Joro Olumofin, has taken to his Instagram page this Monday morning to share an interesting piece about Runs Girls. Diary of a Runs Girl by Joro Olumofin: This Journal encompasses 4 key Categories. -Who is a Runs Girl? -How do you identify a RunsGirl -How do RunsGirls affect us -Origin & Location of Runs Girl 1. Who is a Runs Girl?: A runs girl is any lady who is blatantly lazy or not content with her salary, income, allowance because her personal income can't get her to her destination. She uses her beauty and physical attributes to gain monetary favors, promotion, land, cars, jewelry from any man who is willing to pay. 2. How do you identify a Runs Girl: This may be stereotypical but; a) Any lady who doesn't have a 9-5 or functional business and yet lives a lavish lifestyle b) Any lady who is always in a private jet or luxury hotel apartment 7 times a year is a Runs Girl c) Any lady who owns more than 15 designer bags without an income d) Any Lady who has more than 15k followers on IG or Twitter without any media portfolio or Makeup / Model business e) Any lady who is "Yellow skinned" and constantly moves with 5 or more other "yellow skinned" ladies is a Runs Girl (Yellow Gang) f) Any lady who has 9-5 job but the mathematics of her salary and her lifestyle don't add up g) Any lady who owns a shop and yet has less than 3 customers and is paying rent is a runs girl h) Any girl who goes to polo club Lagos by herself without being invited is a Potential Runs Girl i) 60% of Bank marketers 3. How do Runs Girls affect us?: Runs Girls spoil the name of Nigerian ladies. They ruin the term courtship or love. Men are used to throwing material things and getting their way within 2 days. So when men meet a decent girl who is giving them rules or a process they cut these decent girls off. That's why Runs girls get married more than decent girls because they are easy, understanding to the needs of men and are willing to take anything. Decent girls are too rigid and boring. 4. Location & Origin of Runs Girls: (They're Everywhere) but most likely below middle class, 3rd class or pass degree students). The Origin of Runs Girls, based on research and observation. They emanate from bad economy, laziness, greed, separated families, hard times, Social media pressure, low self esteem, designer bags syndrome. http://www.tori.ng/news/50024/who-is-a-runs-girl-how-do-you-identify-them-lagos.html

4. Monkey Post Monkey Post is another interesting game from the makers of games like Oya Run, Chicken Escape and Jagun: Clash of Kingdoms among others. ChopUp released a teaser for Monkey Post in October last year. The game is reminiscent of childhood days playing football in Nigeria. The closeness of the goal posts and the unofficial nature of the game are associated with the choice of name (Monkey Post). If you are familiar with Five-a-side football then Monkey Post will be an interesting game to you. The game play is easy for those gamers that play soccer on mobile phones.

The Nigerian gaming industry this year witnessed growth in the quality of mobile games released. Following a PwC report that provided insight into the mobile gaming market in Nigeria, it is evident that there is money to be made. The mobile gaming sector in Nigeria is projected to hit about $177 million by 2019, up from $91 million in 2014. It is expected that social/casual games will comprise 8.4% of the total video game revenue in Nigeria. This is due tothe usage of more mobile devices than consoles and PCs by gamers. Quite a number of individuals and game studios worked tirelessly in 2016 to provide games for the Nigerian audience. To show some of the progress made in the Nigerian gaming industry, here are five mobile games that were either announced/released in 2016. 1. Gidi Run Gidi Run is a mobile game by Gamsole. The game, with a certain Subway Surfers feel to it, is set on the streets on Lagos. If you are familiar with the Danfo (commercial bus) in Lagos then the game wouldn’t be so weird to you. Many Nigerians, unlike RCCG members, are not totally conversant with the man who is to now become the new face of the ministry, therefore, here are six solid facts you should know about the man who will now head the church in Nigeria. 1. Pastor Obayemi was picked from Lagos state, as he was the clergyman in charge of Lagos Province 28, Region 2. 2. As one of the prominent ministers of the assembly, he has been one of the decision makers as a member of the governing council of RCCG. 3. He also seems to be a trustworthy fellow to have been picked by Pastor Adeboye as he was a deputy in charge of Finance. 4. The incoming GO also headed the board of governors, House fellowship of the RCCG body. 5. His selection may also have been based on the fact that he was a special assistant to Daddy GO on Finance PICR in the region where he was the pastor. 6. In 2015, he laid the foundation of the place of worship of the province, although it was a temporary site. https://www.naij.com/1081368-meet-pastor-obayemi-sa-appointed-by-pastor-adeboye-rccg-national-overseer.html cc: Seun, Lalasticlala, Mynd44

This seems to be the very first good news i'll be hearing from Burundi in a while. It's actually a year of Surprises. |
Fourteen people were killed when a taxi swerved to avoid a cow and crashed into two large vehicles on what is known as Uganda's deadliest road, police said Wednesday. Eight people died on the spot including a journalist , while six others died later in hospital, regional traffic police chief, Scovia Birungi told AFP. Nine other other people had serious injuries, while the cow also died. The crash happened at Lwengo along the Masaka- Kampala highway on a stretch of road known locally as the most dangerous in Uganda. ''The accident took place when a speeding omnibus taxi avoided hitting a cow that was crossing the road, (and) rammed into a bus and a truck,'' said Birungi. ''The vehicles crashed into each other, subsequently killing and injuring people. And the cow was not spared,'' he added. More than 200 people had already been killed on the 130km (80 mile) stretch of road from January to September 2016, another traffic police officer, Edith Nanteza had said last year. http://punchng.com/taxi-kills-14-trying-avoid-cow/ cc: Lalasticlala

7. Prophet TB Joshua and his prediction of the next US president Even though TB Joshua is not a stranger to controversy, his prophecy about who would emerge winner of the recently concluded US elections, may have been the 'juiciest' controversy yet as it gave Nigerians something to talk about. Prior to the conclusion of the elections which saw Donald Trump emerge winner over Hillary Clinton, the prophet had shocked Nigerians by saying he saw a vision in which it was revealed that Hillary would win. TB Joshua eventually explained what he meant by who would win and why his prediction failed , and later predicted that Trump would win 'person of the year'. There you have it! Which was more scandalous to you? cc: Lalasticlala, Mynd44, Seun

6. Toyin Aimakhu and Seun Egbegbe's love affair When in February, news broke that Nollywood actress Toyin Aimakhu had separated from her husband, Actor Adeniyi Johnson, and was dating movie producer Seun Egbegbe, she tried so much to deny the relationship for reasons best known to her. However, it wasn't long before their relationship was exposed, the pair were engaged in a very public show of shame, with Seun granting interviews where he labelled Toyin a prostitute who has no business in a man's house, and even went as far as threatening to stop any other movie producer from working with her. The pair went their separate ways , but not before Toyin dragged him to a police station where she reported threats to her life and career, and Seun was made to tender a public apology.

5. Tiwa Savage and Tee Billz's emotional public outburst The relationship between songstress Tiwa Savage and Tunji 'Teebillz' Balogun, first started off as one between 'manager and artiste'. It eventually led to a public proposal after the pair repeatedly denied their love affair. They eventually got married in 2014, in an elaborate Dubai wedding. Fast forward to April 2016, and the illusion the public had about the couple was shattered, following an emotional outburst from Teebillz, who accused his wife of cheating amongst other things. Tiwa eventually granted a 'tell all' interview where she also revealed dirty secrets about her husband, including how she miscarried a baby while her husband was busy cheating on her. The drama lasted for a couple of months with Teebillz disappearing from social media for months. The pair who have a son together, are reportedly working on their marriage, while fans cross their fingers over when they'll get back together.

4. President Buhari and 'the other room' saga The president's response when asked about what he thought of his wife's comments regarding the way certain appointments were given to "undeserving" individuals, he said: "I don't know what party my wife belongs to, but she belongs to my kitchen, my living room and the other room." Trust Nigerians, they ran with it and it officially became a trending topic on social media, even t-shirts were made in 'honour' of the 'internet shattering' statement which has been added to Naija's book of slangs. This particular one is not going anywhere fast, it's here to stay just like the world famous "diaris God oo."

3. African pastors and their 'miraculous' ways It is safe to say 2016 was the year of the African pastors and their signs and wonders. From the one who claimed to have gone to heaven and had taken selfies there (Pastor Mboro put the pictures on sale for $5,000), to the one who posed inside coffins while preaching. Another pastor even went as far as ordering for a heavy speaker to be placed on a young lady, which resulted in her death. One of the most controversial ones, South African prophet Penuel Mnguni, made headlines several times for feeding his members with snakes, driving over them while they laid on the ground, and even commanding some of them to give him a horseback ride. Who can forget in a hurry, the pastor who asked members of his church to drink water from the gutter? Just recently, another one asked his members to drink disinfectant for their healing. All in all, 2016 was definitely one of the most drama filled years the Nigerian social media ever witnessed.

2. Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo vs Nigerian pastors vs Celebrities 2016 was the year former governor's daughter and controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo, had expressed her opinion on any and everything. Ranging from accusing her father of using them for rituals, to allegations against pastors (Pastor Adeboye, Bishop Oyedepo and Prophet TB Joshua ) to accusing singer Olamide of visiting a ritualist. The 'take no nonsense' lady even had it out with popular women like Actresses Cossy Orjiako, Dayo Amusa and Eniola Badmus, OAP Toke Makinwa, and who can forget in a hurry her constant digging at blogger Linda Ikeji? or how she accused Nollywood veteran Jide Kosoko of being responsible for his wife's death. It is not a strange thing to see how Kemi made it onto most people's list of 'most controversial person' of 2016.

SOURCE There is no doubt in anybody's mind that this year was a very 'eventful' year filled with drama and scandals that shook the entire social media space. At different times, Nigerians woke up to one 'shocking' news or the other, and here is seven of the most scandalous stories that made 2016 interesting. 1. Psquare's breakup, shades, and subsequent makeup Early 2016, the dynamic music duo Peter and Paul Okoye, made the decision to part ways, with each launching solo careers and even going ahead to sign on music acts. The drama was fueled by the fact that Peter insisted he no longer wanted to be managed by their elder brother Jude Okoye. Accusations and counter accusations were thrown back and forth, with secrets being revealed . This caused several people to intervene, with fans and colleagues begging the twins to reunite, for the sake of their career and because of the fact that they are bound by blood. The brothers eventually reunited in March, tendered apologies publicly, and have gone on to perform at shows together like before, and have even released a 'post-breakup' single titled 'Bank Alert'.

When most people talk about having 'near- death experiences', they talk about having encountered God or even seeing the 'bright light at the end of the tunnel' or seeing loved ones telling them to 'go back as it's not your time to die yet'. The man in this story recounted how he died for about 30 minutes, then went to HELL. According to him, he had taken cocaine and valium and had died from the mix. He narrated what he saw in the video below: https://gossip.naij.com/1078636-man-narrates-chilling-experience-dying-hell.html |
