trustyshoess:The thing tire me o. Whenever I see comments like yours, my little hope for the Nigerian youth of today rekindles! |
Laple0541:From your statement, it is unlikely that you have studied outside of Nigeria, otherwise you wouldn't have this idiotic notion. Education is not easy anywhere. I have studied both home and abroad, so I am in a very good position to speak on this. I don't get it, are you saying that U.S schools are substandard? Because if that is what you are insinuating... well, you need help sharp, sharp! By the way, congratulations, John Paul Nwaezeigwe! It is well deserved honour! |
I don't understand the obsession with this pastor. I don't know if he did whatever he accused of or not, but the hypocrisy of many Nigerians is just alarming. I'm the first to criticize the flamboyance of Nigerian pastors, but common... I just hate when it seems so many people are against one person. I probably will not give church money to some of the people he gave, but who are mine to question his decision. Give it up people! His church members are not going to leave! |
Information about Nigerian businesses are very hard to find online. I am looking for a list of reputable Nollywood movie distributors in Nigeria. If you know of any, please post here. |
As the first responder said, who cares? It is obvious that the people in the video are trying to intimidate the old man for trying to protect his land. It is an unjustified mob attack! By the way, how do you know that he was trying to kill his opponent? Maybe he was trying to protect himself/property from the so-called opponent! Jobless idiots! |
bishopjoe02: three things are involve here;It may be true that the woman could not read, but I like that you keeping an open mind about this. I especially agree with your second reason. Fear can do wonders! Also, if it is true that she indeed cannot read, then it should not end with her. What about the people that hired her? What is the NUT doing to weed out these kind of teachers? This should not be the job of the governor for Christ's sake! |
This is more common than people think. The question is why is the real owner of the name just coming forward after 21yrs. I suspect he has known all along. |
I am not aligned with any of the feuding parties in this issue. But I want Nigerians to understand that this is a very very serious matter. If this is not dealt with, and A proper framework devised for the relocation of street people deemed unstable, sooner than later, overzealous officials will start rounding up anyone they don't like, and sending them to wherever they want. This is Nigeria, our country, and no one should have the right to send anyone to anywhere without due process that should involve the courts. Its a slippery slope we don't want to go into. Where is the federal government when you need them! Where are the human right lawyers! This is turning into a big issue in Nigeria. |
abdulkayus: i dont knw where u ppl got dis ideology dat its only men of like 40 years and above dat can marry dem. Most of d tym, dey are ususally bethroth to their mate or someone dat is older than dem by like 8 to 15 years old.My friend, try understand the issues before making expansive comments. There is a difference between betrothal and marriage. Big difference! |
It is very good that we are all outraged by this despicable act of the senate, but the focus should not only be on yerima. What about the other senators who went along with thin? they should be called out as well. |
I don't know much about these people, but Gani seems to make sense in these amusements. I was surprised that Fasehun was aligning with Al mustafa. I don't know if Mustafa killed Kudirat, but the mad did a lot of things to make any same person steer clear off him! |
I wonder why he was protected from Alah afeterall he was fighting Alah' fight! hmmmm! Ignoramus! |
Well, it is better than turning Nigeria into a nation of perverts and pedophiles! These leaders make me sick! |
I am ashamed! Can these people do anything right? |
The die-hard cynical Nigerian in me wanted to ask: are we sure that is all the money that was recovered? But then again that would not be fair if this man is honest. We need to applaud and celebrate any effort by anyone to be honest in this country. Under normal circumstances, a policeman returning recovered money should not be a big deal. But it is a big deal in Nigeria. Now that's something to think about! |
Reference: Ironically there someone else who is equally tossing his toys but can pay that sum with a week's wages. Yes, he's Wayne Rooney. But there the similarities end. Rooney will walk into any Premiership club including the Three Lions. Moral of the story. If you go to battle, never, absolutely never open up two war fronts simultaneously. Hitler, Napoleon, Ghengis Khan all fell this way. Sorry Peter, if club didn't want you at least country could av. Lesson for those players who think green white green is a waste of time. The NFF may be a pain in the neck but its your insurance card.Osaze never undermined the SE. For more than ten years when your lord Mikel and others refused to honor national call, it was this osaze and co that we relied on. Dont compare Rooney with osaze. They are not the same age. Moreover, Rooney is English, of course his value will be higher than that of Osaze. Rooney publicly criticized his club nobody is killing him. You people self! |
Goke7: The only thing that can revive Osaze's career is the Nigerian National Team but unfortunately he has abused everybody including the coach, NFF officials and even journalists and to make matters worse Nigeria won the AFCON, people are only clamouring for his return because the likes of moses, emenike and a few others were not in the confed cup but the guys are back now with the likes of ameobi and in case anichebe, the ike brothers come back too, my people Osaze own don finish o.I don't understand all this lamentation about Osaze career from you guys. This guy is 31 and has a one year contract with west brom. It does not matter whether they play him or not, they will still have to pay him for the one year. By the time he is done with them he will be 32 years old. Honestly if he calls it quit at 32, for someone that has been playing for as long as he has, there is no cause for alarm. Except he is foolish enough not to have managed his money wisely. Maybe people should take little less panadol for Osaze's headache! |
emyibe: Are you from d moon? Which EPL club? All rumours. No EPL club has interest in dat failed guy.No you are from the cave! If not you would have seen that EPL clubs are seeking his services. If you say those are rumors, how are you sure this Al Nasr bid is not a rumor? You only CHOSE to believe this story because it is negative about Osaze. How sad and low can that be! |
scottpirlo24: osaze played 10years for SE and scored 9times don't forget he is a forward player while mike played 6yrs and scored 6 goals a midfielder .... Osaze is just a fluke .... He messed his career upWhat has that got to do with anything? Who is comparing him with Mikel? Has it occurred to you that he didn't do well in SE because of the perennial problems in SE? Perhaps you forgot that he scored double digits in one year at west brom and won awards. Instead of this endless criticism and jubilation over another man's trial, maybe you should take a long look at your own life and think of what you can contribute to your family, community and country. Osaze has done something that is why we are talking about him. Who is talking about you? |
kel4soft: Trying playing the devil's advocate won't help. The bottomline, his value has really dropped due to lack of playing time or probably...No, you are the one wrapped in fervent cynicism. He is 31, of couse his has value has dropped, and will continue to drop. That is the case with all players. The issue is why you are so happy because osaze's value has dropped. He has played for many years, he probably will never come to ask you for money! It will be wise to focus on your own life to even achieve a little of what he has. Geez! |
erekere: It is most unfortunate that he finds himself at this level.I think peter made many mistakes, but I also think something really bad was wrong with him at that point in his life. The question is: is that enough to undo all he did for ten years? Haba Nigerians! Even west Brom fans don't hate him as much as we do! Everyone needs someone at some point to lift them up when they are down. That is the only way to learn. I hope there is someone there for you when you need it most. |
tellwisdom: Hahaha...Almost my watch moneySee as belle dey sweet you for another man palava! |
HoLEEsinner: .? |
From many of the posts here, it looks like many people are so quick to jump up in jubilation whenever bad news about Osaze is reported. I wonder what he did that is so bad that people want him to fail so badly! we are so quick to forget his ten years of pure dedication to the Super Eagles. Anyways, this is no news because other EPL clubs are already bidding 2.5 million pounds. Na wa for naija people! |
delors: Yeah, u said 'analysis' not castigation. There is a difference, you know...there is a difference between 'Perhaps if the foreign based players had played, we would have performed better. they have the experience and exposure' and 'Why didnt Keshi use those foreign based players? Why is he waging wars against them?'...A big difference bro.I agree with you that Oliseh may have used some strong language after Keshi made the issue personal. But that is to be expected after what Keshi said about Oliseh. I don't want to banter words with you about the the meaning of "analysis". All I can say is that you cannot engage in useful "proactive" analysis without looking at existing facts, situations, phenomenon or occurrences. So whether you accept it or not most analysis are reactionary with a view to improving things in the future (you can call that "being proactive" . FYI: As I said before, Keshi does not need to make this personal. Oliseh was only doing his job irrespective of how you perceive it. My disagreement with Keshi on this issue is no reflection of what I think about his handling of the team. I think he is doing a wonderful job, but we are not giving our best yet, and that is what everyone is after: including Oliseh, you, and I. Lets not fight! |
MekT: So wat solution did Oliseh giff Keshi naw....dat he shuu rub aboniki on Emenike,Onazi n Moses legz so dey dont get injuries....??It looks like you really have a good grasp of what he is saying. Brilliant!!! |
thegoodjoehunt: There is more to analysis than watch and talk. If you listen to Gary Neville, he breaks down what to expect and how to stop it. Predicting is part of analysis like Segun Odegbami predicting Mikel doing a Messi at the last Afcon. You people self! What else can they do as TV analysts? Go to the field and switch the players? Indeed all they can do is "watch and talk." It is left for everyone else to accept or reject what they say. The last time I checked predicting is done through "watching and talking." |
delors: Havent you guys noticed that the analyses of these so-called professional analysts are always reactionary? They run their analyses after the matches have been played and then blame the coach for what he did/didnt meanwheile nobody said anything about the problem or loophole before the matches. if those guys had won or at least reached final, they would have said Keshi was d best in the world, he had vision to have used those home based boys, etc blah blah blah...I guess that is what analysis is about- to analyse an existent issue or a phenomenon, usually with a view to profer solutions or improvement. It is similar to what you are doing now! |
This was my response to Keshi's criticism before Oliseh replied in another thread. I think its appropriatness is highlighted by Oliseh's current response: I don't understand why Keshi is making this personal. Oliseh is an analyst whose job is to analyse the game and profer opinions, rightly or wrongly. Just because Keshi offered him some assistance in the past does not mean he has to throw all objectivity to wind where keshi is concerned. It's not that I totally agree with Oliseh nor do I even disagree with Keshi, but the point is that this should not be personal and and Keshi should learn to be more accepting of dissent and criticism, especially one that is as constructive as Oliseh's. For the record while I was somewhat happy with the performance of the team (being a trial team), it is not without basis for anyone to suggest that that team is not the best Nigeria can offer. Don't ask me to suggest names as any name I suggest would be met with rejection by at least one person in this forum. Team selection should be at the sole discretion of the coach, but I refuse to accept that we cannot do better than what we fielded in Brazil. Even Keshi was a nobody when he started! |

MiloRambaldi: Seems a smart move by the FG, looked at it that way. Any further requests for FG to grant amnesty to BH would sound quite foolish.Probably the smartest move by the government given the controversy they know it would generate. This is very much political as it is practical. I am waiting to hear what Buhari and the other norther oligarchs would say next. |
Boko Haram is being smart on this one. I think GEJ and his team know what they are doing, at least on this case. They had to accept the call for amnesty just to humor such advocates. They know that Boko Haram CANNOT accept amnesty. They will have to show their faces to accept amnesty, right. How do you grant amnesty to a "ghost," as GEJ said before. But I guess to satisfy the advocates for amnesty and to not appear to be the problem as some northern leaders are hoping for, he accepted the call and pretended to play along. Any sensible person would know amnesty is trap that Boko Haram cannot accept. That is not how their operation works. This is not Niger Deltal militants that have some identifiable objective and are willing to meet with the government. Boko Haram is based on an impossible ideology that requires faceless acts of terrorism. At least the northerners cannot blame GEJ for not granting their wards amnesty now! People have to look at the big picture to understand the mind games going on. |
