Let me share with you my experience>

In 2009 when i was invited for medicals for the multinational company i am with at the moment, i had some issues. According to the medical report after the examination, it indicated sumthin( cant remember d medical term they used now) was abnormaly high. The doctor looked at my report, told me to go home for 1 week and drink water like no mans business then come back in another 2 weeks for a second test.

After 2 weeks and drinking about a carton of Eva every 2 days, i went back and the report still indicated same thing although the level had dropped slightly but still higher that the maximum acceptable level, meanwhile others that we went for the medicals together had gotten there letters and resumed. The doctor then referred me to a specialist and for a liver test and him approving my medicals or not would be based on that. I saw the specialist who took  my liver sample and sent it to uk. The report came back said i had a fatty liver and a history of chronic ethanol abuse but that should in no way affect my performance on any job and i guess that was what saved me. I resumed a month after others did.

Just be positive, keep your fingers crossed and hope all goes well. Theres good money in multinationals.

But on the real guys in the oil and gas industry are making that much and much more easily every month. Not to even talk of months when u r paid upfronts, perfomance bonuses, extra allowances outside you usual monthly allowances, 13month e.t.c and u r walking away with 2/3 times of dat amount easily.

@ walcolm - i work in one of those companies and mayb thats why it came easily to mind i guess but also, so many people depend on these 2 companies in warri either as employees, contractors, subcontractors or workers to contractors. nuthin special really but just apart the number of people working in that axis the charade has affected.

All major roads in warri close to the governors residence ahs been closed to vehicles movement since yesterday evening all in the name of his daughter getting married on saturday. All schools within that vicinity were also shut this morning. From Total to Ogunu roundabout, blocking access to 2 shell facilities and now this morning the only express road in warri has been closed blocking access to chevron facility. The whole warri is in chaos with mahd traffic everywhere.

This is just the height of lawlessness in this country. A state where nuthin works and roads are inna terrible state and now people have to suffer this much to move around for 3 days coupled with school kids being forced to stay at home for 2 days all cos the guvnors daughter is getting married!!!!!! this is just crazy.

I have applied for a business visit visa lots of times without including my personal bank statement and i have neva been refused and i know alot of colleagues like dat. i would advise that u go thru ur refusal papers carefully and work on all the points y u were turned down and then reapply. dont even bother appealing, wastes too much time and besides u cant submit xtra documents wit dat unlike if u reapply.

When i was earning 45k/ month, it neva seemed enuff for my family. Now am earning 720k/month and its still not enuff. Point is no matter the amount of money u earn its neva goin to be enuff cos ur tastes will increase and it will come with more responsibilities. 120k is definetly enuff fr u start ur family with guy. i started with far less.
