raumdeuter: Foden 19 goals, Alvarez contributed 11 goals, Rodri 8 goals Remove all those goals too and see where they would have landed I already mentioned Foden and Alvarez, a striker, in my query. Their strikers alone scored 38 goals, if they were not scoring well like Jackson, they wouldn't have made top 4 last season. Fraudiola should accept that he goofed by selling Alvarez and not getting a replacement before starting the season. |

timbros: I don't understand your point.
Saying that cleansheet is important doesn't mean it's the only thing that push you up the table.
Score goals. Concede less. Balance.
Are all their draws goalless? Cleansheet is very important that is why the team with the most cleansheet is on top of the table. Last season Arsenal had the most clean sheets - 18, compared to City's 13. Maybe we should declare Arsenal as the winner. |

Vlahovic has played 17 league games and ended 11 of those games without a goal Go and ask his doctor the effect of his type of injury on performances. |

AirBere: Drawing more games does not necessarily mean more clean sheets. That's why there are score draws like 2:2, 1:1, 3:3 etc. Besides, the team with most clean sheets in serie A are indeed topping the table(Napoli) at least for now. Juventus are number 4 on the clean sheet table with just 6 clean sheets. Defensively they're not that good. This is an example of how some of you form opinions based on incorrect data and start attacking. Juventus have 10 clean sheets in Serie A this season and are 5th on the Serie A table. Always check your data well before you go to town with your faulty conclusion. Napoli is topping the league with 12 clean sheets. Atalanta in 2nd, 7 clean sheets. Inter in 3rd, 9 clean sheets. Lazio in 4th, 4 clean sheets. Juventus despite having more clean sheets than those teams above except Napoli are 5th on the table. Having numerous clean sheets is not enough, those looking for clean sheets up and down should rest. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by airmark(m): 9:20pm On Jan 11, 2025 |
BlueMann: Juventus have gone the first half of the season unbeaten
...with 12 draws One would expect them to be topping the table with many clean sheets to boot. They should have got an effective striker to support Vlahovic, who has been struggling with muscle injuries. Make Chelsea go sign Goalkeepers and defenders too, and leave the central position in the attack blunt. |
