Ok the 150k per week or 50k per week Ole. At this rate, I would have to beg my late grandmother to come replace your boy.
grin

If your late grandma can shoot better than Jackson and Sancho, she can join the team.

We should sign a striker then

Dont you think so ? Gyokeres or Osimhen
We should sign two goalkeepers, and convert one to striker.

Guiu.

Despite this, there's no reason for him to go on loan as yet. If we are buying an Osimhen/Gyokeres profile striker, then one can make that case, but if we are sticking with Delap, then he should stay and slug it out. He stands a better chance making it here, than elsewhere.

No matter what happens, players dip in performative and confidence - especially strikers. Only us have the interest to lift him through that. Other teams will just go splash money on another striker and relegate him to the bench.

I am still hurting from losing Gabriel and Lewis Hall - two players, who would be in the first team by now, had they stayted.
Guiu staying while Delap and Jackson are above on the pecking order, means lesser game time for him. Because Delap will want some assurance before jumping the ship.

Another option is not to sign Delap and gamble with the rest of the season with both Jackson and Guiu, with Insha Allah.

Hands akimbo till the window closes.

He's not doing 10min cameos. He's playing full games in the Conference League after successfully relegating Nkunku to second fiddle.

I expect him to play tomorrow and get more playing time in the league as time goes by. I don't want him joining some nonsense team who will relegate him to the bench, and then his overall form regresses.

In the last 20 years, only Cortoius, Abraham, James, Chalobah, Gallagher, RLC and Mount have gone on loan and returned to command a first team shirt. The loan system is mainly flawed. It destroys more players than it helps.
Playing a conference league match every fortnight against Noah and Abraham fc, will do little to his development to top level compared to playing a competitive league match every weekend. That's what helped those you listed above and like those, Guiu is naturally gifted and looks hungry for success.

That some players didn't make it via the loan system, doesn't render it ineffective. We just need to send him to a team that desperately need a striker. He needs to be playing regularly to build his confidence and improve his skills.

But why? Guiu is a seriously good talent we should not be loaning him out. We keep all strikers, even if we are getting Delap.

We are lucky so far we've not had injuries in CF positions.
He won't improve rapidly sitting on the bench or doing 10 mins cameos.

If Jackson is really such a useless striker, why loan out Guiu instead of him? I think a striking combo of Delap, Nkunku, and Guiu would push us to the top of the table, even without any help from our £250k-a-week loanee who's still figuring out how to shoot, along with Aba Ronaldo and Ben Johnson.
Honestly, I think we should sell Jackson as soon as we get Delap. That way, we can solve all our striking problems in one go!
It may be difficult to sell or loan Jackson to any Epl team. I don't think Ipswich will take him seeing his wastefulness.

I want Guiu to play regularly elsewhere to aid his development, while Jackson battles it out with Delap.

Zirkzee for Osimhen also won't be bad.

I know say you go vex. Sip small stout

Penalties have an XG of 0.76

What I asked you to do was remove the 2 penalty goals and also remove 1.52 from Delaps XG for better comparison
It still makes no difference.

The point still remains that Delap is outscoring his XG more than Jackson is doing to his.

XG to goals ratio is the comparison. Use your brain 🧠

As it stands Jackson goals to XG is 9 Vs 9 which means he is performing as expected to the number and quality of his chances.
Is the highlighted necessary?

Obviously, you are the one failing to use your brain here or you are not conversant with XG/XGA data. The posted XG covers all the chances including the PKs. Delap is outshooting the XG while Jackson is struggling with his.

Don't let your love for Jackson makes you sound like Lordfalcao.

Salah is odds on to win the EPL this season, If Salah a winger is dragging golden boot with Henry who spent most of his time at Arsenal as a striker
Henry is not dragging golden boots with Salah. He won 4 without sharing them with anybody unlike Salah.

Henry dominated English football at a time it was not the top league and not the top destination for footballers. I remember the huge sigh when Veron signed for Man Utd and some form of consensus on how he deserved to play at a better team/league.
Unlike Salah who dominated EPL when EPL is a top league.

time
You mean Epl wasn't a top league in 2001- 2006?

Let's forget the fact that Man utd won Ucl in 1999, didn't Henry lead Arsenal to beat Real Madrid during this period only to lose to Barcelona in the final?

It is amazing that we have to be explaining this to a football fan in 2025.

Maybe Diogo Jota is a CF because that's where he now plays.
You go explain tire with no evidence. Attack transfermrkt.com that keeps track of matches played and update player's profile.

Go and tell Antonio Valencia that he was never a RB since he was playing as a winger before he switched. Don't forget to tell Joelinton that he still remains a striker, he should stop deceiving and carrying himself as a midfielder.

You should have followed Blueray agenda of rubbishing transfermrkt data.

Transfermrkt tags him a CF, you said no he is a LW because of the position he played in 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018. Sergio Ramos is also a RB because of his position in 2005. grin

Baba Ask anybody who watches La Liga wella, they will tell u Oyarzabal is a winger. When I still had time back then, I watched him wella at Real Sociedad playing from the left Wing.

You goofed calling him a striker just to win an argument.
We are getting there gradually.

After i informed you that he hasn't even played as a LW in la liga this season, you changed his position to strictly a winger and not LW. grin You initially claimed he only played as CF at times but out of 16 la liga matches this season he played as CF in 14. At the Euros he played as CF in 6 out of 7.

Transfermarkt upgrades their website periodically that's why they didn't tag Ramos, a RB. They are more reliable with data than you, that Aba-made Chelsea fan, Sodiki and kimbeast who last watched Oyazarbal in 2021. grin
