So, at what point did Sergio Ramos become a CB and not a RB? Oh, he is also RB and not a CB since that's where he started from and played a lot of matches as RB. |

popizaino: Look no further,Welbeck who use to be like man urinated 4th striker in 2013 is now the first man on Brighton's list.
At a point, man city, had Adebayor,Balotteli,Aguero,Dzeko as their strikers and all the strikers can comfortably lead the line alone, today if they don't use Haaland they would be back to improvising a winger as a manshift striker but i am to believe the quality of strikers/football isn't diminishing because the new ones happen to score more. That's why Mikel had to rush and meet those Chelsea directors to let them know we couldn't continue with Jackson. Till now i still can't believe how an old Chelsea fan, who watched Hasselbaink, Drogba, Anelka, Costa, would adopt Jackson as his son. If you mention Haaland, Gyokeres, Osimhen, Isak, you will be gazing at your ceiling for several seconds before you could remember another manageable striker in this era. |

BlueRayDick: So what were u doing here mentioning Morata and Jackson ? Have u suddenly forgotten what u typed few hours ago ?
U said Spain took two average strikers to the Euros one of which is Morata the one u love to hate and the other Oyarzabal . You admitted in ur own words below that they are not the “quality “ strikers u desire in teams .
Now same u is trying to make a case for strikers with one of the two “average” strikers who scored in the final .
I asked u if u know what position he plays because the Oyarzabal I know is a left winger whom gets drafted to play Center forward at times . Attached is UEFA referring to the same player u christened striker a midfielder . You are mixing it up bro. You believe that teams have moved on from using strikers, which i debunked by mentioning Barca, Bayern and Juve. You mentioned Spain at Euros to support your opinion that teams have moved on from using strikers and i pointed it out that they actually went with 2 strikers. They didn't move on anything but just that they lacked quality strikers to pick from. One of the strikers even scored in the final. Out of 7 Euros matches for spain, Oyazarbal played as CF in 6. Out of 16 laliga matches this season, he played as CF in 14. In fact, he never played as LW this season in Laliga. So, i don't know where the drafting to play CF at times came from. If you could call such player a LW, then David Villa and Henry were definitely not strikers but LWs too.

Wait fess! Are u saying with ur full chest that Oyarzabal is one of the “quality strikers “ u’ve been talking about all day long ?
Are u sure u know who Oyarzabal is or because u saw google sports put “striker “ in front of his name in the screenshot u uploaded, u decided to use it to score a point ?
Because u are the same person who said Diaz is not a striker o but a winger drafted in to replace the wasteful Nunez . U need to think carefully to answer this o My argument with you is that you believe teams have moved on from using strikers. You even named City winning the league without a striker. You shot yourself by picking Spain winning the Euros, forgetting that a striker scored the winner for them in the final. You tell me the position he played in that final since he is not a striker. Don't change the argument to quality or no quality bro.

So spain EUROS win is an exception , Madrid UCL is an exception ,Man City EPL win is an exception and Loserpool EPL win is also an exception .
Wehdone Sir! Nothing like moving on from using a striker, Spain were not stupid by taking two strikers to the Euros despite their average qualities. Spain were drawing the match until a striker scored the winner for them where it mattered most - final.

BlueRayDick: Did city win the league without a striker or not ? Did Loserpool win without striker or not ? Did Madrid win the champions league without a striker or not ?
Every other story is irrelevant to me . Ofcourse there would be few exceptions. My point is nothing like moving on from using top strikers by the big teams. It's dearth of quality strikers forcing teams to improvise. Arsenal fir example need a natural striker, that's why you have been pretenders since. |

BlueRayDick: City won the league without a standing 9 striker . Loserpool did the same thing . Madrid also won the UCL doing same .
The world has moved beyond all that . Once u have a balanced team , u can win silverware; u don’t necessarily need to have a Haaland type of striker to win silverware How many league titles did City win without Aguero, Alvarez and Haaland in those seasons? Haaland won the last 2 Epl titles and the golden boots in both seasons. City couldn't win UCL until they got Haaland. Will Fraudiola swap him for Bellingham or Diaz? Liverpool with Salah and without a quality striker could only win the league once in 8 years, while Aguero won 5 in 10 years. One of the most memorable Epl won on the last day, will always feature Aguero, a striker, winning it for City 100 seconds to the final whistle in 2012. If Barcelona and Bayern see quality strikers next summer, they will buy. |

BlueRayDick: I think we’ve all agreed that most teams have moved away from using strikers in the mound of dem Drogba and co in the modern world .
That is what explains why people like Diaz a winger is playing as the main strike threat for his team . Teams like Madrid have won champions league in recent times without having a striker in the mould of Drogba which further proves that the game is evolving beyond having a top 9 like that . Well, City are still holding on to Haaland while Bayern and Barca are still with old traditional strikers. And Vlahovic is still playing for the old ladies too. It's majorly lack of quality strikers that made the likes of Jackson and Morata to be starting for big clubs and not because most clubs have moved on. Madrid are just an exception and they still bowed against City when Fraudiola added Haaland and won Ucl under their nose. |

BlueRayDick: Abi . None of the skills shown in the video are things Isak cannot do and also use goals to back it up .
Even Luiz Diaz get skills pass all the skills shown in the video sef Luiz Diaz is a winger drafted to replace that wasteful Nunez upfront though. Wingers are expected to be skillful. What he was trying to drive home is, a Drogba that was considered not skillful with the ball that time, could do what most strikers now can't do. How do you expect a striker whose legs are not straight to do most of what Drogba did in that video? I am not sure Haaland and Nunez can do them too. |

nateevs: 1. No one called you names for calling for Jackson's replacement. This is pure hallucination. You actually think you are the only one calling for Jackson's replacement? You were all about support casts and against getting a shiny striker to replace your adopted boy. nateevs: I kid you not bro. 92 mins of football, and apart from one failed square pass (where even then Sterling went into a brain jam), our RW and LW did not create a single chance for a striker position. Not one single chance. Zilch, ZERO!
The tactics were spot on. The structure is setup to isolate wingers in 1v1 situations, and I counted at least 20 times where Sterling and Madueke found themselves combined in that situation. The tactics also has at least in every attacking event, a minimum of 5 players arriving in the box.
But not one single time did these two ninjahs make any single chance. I mean, not one single chance to score from. And the problem is that even though this is positional football, both those players don't understand positioning of others around them. They first want to run with the ball, before computing space and positioning of others. This is why you see them running into traffic, time after time after time, despite having 5/10 yards off space only moments before. And this is the fundamental issue we are going to have against low block teams.
It's a serious situation we have. Substitute those two for any unknown, but technically-minded players and they would have created at least 5 scoring chances.
This is a crisis and a serious emergency.
Wetin shiny striker wan do? nateevs: Like I say, Airmark is creating a followership on this topic but only on half the story.
This is the nuance. Only 1 of those big chances fell to the striker yesterday. The other 3 fell to Enzo, Madueke and Sterling. All 3 failed to convert a single one.
If we had the prolific Halaand on our side, the score would have 4-3. If we didn't, but had say Nico Williams on the left, Olise on the right, and say a Lampard type midfielder instead of Enzo, it would have been 5-4 in favour of Chelsea. That's the other half of the story.
We need to score 80 goals minimum to stand a chance of finishing in top four. 87+ for top 3 and 90+ for top 2.
A prolific striker is only going to get you 25 (PL only) of those. Where's the rest going to come from?
That's why the more pertinent problem is the support cast we have and not a prolific striker. nateevs: 2. No one has avoided rating Jackson's performance. When did this happen? Not too late airmark: Nateevs, Ibime, Timbros, Diggz can you rate Jackson's performance on a scale of 1 to 10? |

diggz: No one is arguing against us getting a better striker. I hope when we buy Haaland or a better striker, they will convert all every chance. In the meantime, what do we do with your Lil baby, Ben Johnson and the 250k per week winger who’s still practicing how to take shots? You can only talk for yourself bro. Jackson that someone like Nateevs adopted and defended by saying we only needed quality support casts? What name did he not call me for asking for his replacement? Now that his Jackson is casting terribly on his face, he is avoiding rating his performances. Same thing he did for Morata is playing out. Later he will go completely dumb after defending the below average striker for months. |

But what I can’t handle is your constant attacks on him while you refuse to criticise those who should also be sharing the burden of contributing goals.
Just imagine excusing a £250k-a-week player whose shooting ability is worse than MJ's. You even said it here that he was still practicing his shooting! My guy is on £250k for goodness' sake… even my late grandmother would shoot better than Sancho from her grave! Jackson is spending his second year and we saw how he missed chances that caused us to miss top 4 last season and this season you guys were praising his 1 goal in every 5 big chances got and it's nothing but irritating. There's an urgent need to drum it into the ears of fans and those at Chelsea to replace him and achieve progress. We must not turn to a midtable team permanently because of a below average striker. |
