Ibime: Yeah I forgot the boot sef.
Melting candles was our old style but it didn't make them heavy enough. You can still blast shot through them so we used those small ceramic tiles.
Big argument before each tournament as to whether you can use your hand for cutting the ball to make it change direction. Eventually we outlawed cutting in my hood.
The game is all about technology, and whoever spend the most time modifying his team will usually win. Many of my goals were from freekicks and I modify two players in my team especially for freekicks by bending out the counter so they can chip the ball. I will bend one out well well for long range freekicks and another one just slightly for shorter range freekicks Did you use this audio tape roller below, as ball? There was a way we put it and hit, to start rolling into the net, even from a goal kick. We could use a small coin like 25 kobo to modify the counters to have more balance.

Ibime: I enjoyed this game ehn, especially tournaments. These guys did not even dress their players in Jersey.
We dress our players properly and even put tiles inside to make them heavier. Plus my defenders were not even counter. They were those water bottle tops stuffed with tiles. We use their height to form wall for freekick.
For the goalkeeper, we knock 3 or 4 counters together and put tile in the middle so he won't be falling and letting goals in. It got to the stage, I even got my dad to cut me a solid square block of iron in his machine shop to use as goalkeeper Yes o. Ours got boots too, by cutting round, the inner material of each crown, and wore it on them. We used cream covers as our goal keepers to cover more space in goal. We melted candle inside our criwns to make them strong like Gattuso. Chai. |

Ishilove: Are you a levite? You likely had dada in infancy and your parents cut it off without following certain processes.
Let me narrate a personal experience. I am a Levite, but when I was a baby, my mum used a comb to comb everything out without allowing it to form. She combs, but by following morning the tangles are back. She battled with my hair for months before it stopped tangling and began to grow normally.
My hair grew long and thick, but when it started disturbing me, I saw fire. Spiritually and physically. Last last in 2005 after investigations I was told to go and shave off the entire thing. Gosh it was painful. After shaving the hair my bro still lathered my scalp with soap and shaved the scalp join because no single hair must remain.
Thereafter I did some Christian 'stuff' which I won't mention here and since then no more disturbances till this day. I have similar issue with my hair o. I go to barber's shop every 2wks since God-knows-when. I really didn't read spiritual meaning to it. Please i will appreciate if you can send me details of what you did as i am also a Christian. If i leave my hair for more than 2wks, migraine will not let me rest. |

Maybe because he has a track record of showing common sense and evidence of education, How many times will you see nihilist telling us jazz will make someone rich, or that investing in MMM is a viable retirement plan From Maldini's misyarn to jazz issue, indicating i am uneducated. raumdeuter: [s]Basic education and intelligence is always necesary in life and lack of it will always show
In football everyone on the field has responsibilities and spaces they cover, If a right-back gets dribbled and the CB had to run to cover to tackle you will say the CB made an error?, if everyone is doing their job perfectly, no one will need to go into emergency mode of lounging tackles.
If a teammate fails to do their job, Maldini or another sensible defender will have to go into emergency mode and use the last card in his repertoire
Is it not rich that a ball boy in the USL not even MLS can confidently say the best defender of all time is wrong when he is discussing about defending?
Its akin to a primary school dropout telling Einstein is wrong when discussing Physics[/s] Always telling lies. You told us that when a defender tackles, HE had made a mistake that's why he would tackle. I was the one even telling you that he could tackle to correct the mistake of his mate. You disagreed with me back then. Now you have taken a sip from my bottle of wisdom. Never must you quote that wrong view from Maldini again.

raumdeuter: Go and bring it out, a tackle is necesary as a last resort if you cannot intercept, Interception is the biggest and most important attribute a DM can have You told us that tackles are only neccessary when you have already made a mistake as a defender. You even quoted this same Maldini. I remember telling you and Maldini were wrong. Nobody should take you as a serious person again. raumdeuter: Maldini wont take that risk that is why he said its only when he has made a mistake that a tackle would be necesary raumdeuter: There are other ways Boateng could have won the balls back without tackles. Tackles are very risky and with proper positioning you wont need to tackle So Maldini was poorly positioned that's why he tackled Yekini. |

Big ups to Sunday Ogochukwu Oliseh, strong in tackle, Calm in possession with vision like an eagle, left leg, right leg, shots he dey there
See this break in attack and immediate vision to launch a through ball to his attacker not wasting time. Imagine say na JayJay win ball there, he will first relax and look to disgrace the opponent while our attackers will be there suffering
See the same type of ball over the top in the Nations cup final
vs Senegal in the 2000 Nations cup we were suffering Oliseh had Malaria, he saw the team down and hopeless with Okocha doing his thing, Oliseh begged to come on from the bench and before long sent a long pass that opened the Senegalese defence and Aghahowa scored (elampiro where were you that day)
Omo that moment madness catch me, See as I run, Even watching the highlight now sef I wan dey cry.
If you watch all these good times of Nigerian football, you can see why some of us cant be bothered to watch the current eyesore we have now
