My cousin, a good man who had not too long before had his first marriage end, was dating a fine young lady for some time. His mother’s sister, my Aunt Ruth, had long hoped for him to find more happiness and wanted him to marry the right woman. Surprise filled the world when wedding announcements were sent out, Aunt Ruth was thrilled. It was to be a beautiful wedding in the backyard of an immaculate home. A cake, presents and a very well dressed Bride and groom. And a simple ceremony with just family. The ceremony started, proceeded beautifully. The couple advanced down the makeshift aisle, most there were anticipatory, Ruth was on the verge of tears of happiness. Then the preacher arrived at that fateful utterance “if there be any here today who feel this union is not to be let them speak now!” Typically this is rhetorical, people who feel otherwise aren't invited. But this day my uncle stood up, “I object”. Every face was turned towards him, Ruth was shock faced. “I object” he continued, “because this is not the right day for a wedding. We are all missing a much more important event and we cannot overlook it's importance, for today…” he paused and looked directly at Aunt Ruth “it’s Aunt Ruth’s 50th birthday” Aunt Ruth looked like she was about to have a heart attack, stood quickly and profusely apologized while flustered at this whole event trying to get the wedding back on track… but to no avail. Everybody in the audience, the bride, the groom, the preacher, were all singing happy birthday. The cake with her name in secret white frosting made out to her, the happy birthday elegant napkins and even a couple of the invitations to a surprise Birthday party failed to convince her this was actually a surprise birthday in her honor, and she turned to the bride and said “Mary I'm so sorry”. The bride looked at her with a sweet smile and said “actually my name is Heather.” (Turns out my cousin had broken up with his girlfeiend 2 weeks prior and they found a good friend of his to play the part) to finally convince her this was, indeed, a birthday party. But for a moment there, at least to her, it was the greatest tragedy she had ever seen at a wedding. ETA: So I called my Aunt to get the full story, some of you asked questions that I didn't know the answer to, turns out I got a lot of info mixed up. Forgive me, it was 21 years ago. It was actually my boy Cousin and Aunt Ruth’s nephew, the ‘bride’ was not dating him as the original girlfriend broke up with my cousin just two weeks prior Talking to Aunt Ruth she loved it after the fact, and it's one of her favorite memories, but at the time she did just about die. It was her sister, the mom of the ‘groom’ that planned it. Source: https://www.quora.com/Have-you-ever-witnessed-a-tragedy-at-a-wedding Perfect Money/Payeer here: www..com.ng |

In the days of EgoPay, I sent e-currency to one popular exchanger but I was not paid until 3 days later. Some exchangers would pay you within 24 hours, but you would be delayed for about 20 hours. I sold e-currency to another exchanger recently – around 10.00 A.M. in the morning, but I was not paid until around 8.00 P.M. same day. We’re talking about deliberate delay; not the one caused by banks’ network issues. Most exchangers promise instant funding, but in reality, theyt delay. But there is one exchanger I know… One of the newest around, that funds customers in an average of 20 minutes. A customer has been paid in 10 minutes. When there are barrages of orders, a customer gets paid within one hour. When their manager is not on seat, it could take about 3 – 5 hours to get funded, but you’d never be delayed till the following day. When there’s a delay: owing to a bank network problem, the exchanger communicates with the bank in your behalf and update you regularly until the issue is solved. This is an exchanger that offers 24/7 services. You can contact them any time of the day – even in the dead of night, and expect your payment. This is an exchanger you can call on weekend – even on Sundays – to get your orders completed. They don’t do completely automated orders; just place your orders and send them the account details to fund. This is not to tout a business, but to reveal what is happening… An exchanger who’s doing things according to your imagination. Their website is .com.ng Perfect Money/Payeer here: www..com.ng |
I invested all of my college savings into gold and silver stocks. Peter Schiff, the CEO and chief global strategist of Euro Pacific Capital Inc., convinced me using scare tactics. In a couple of years, I lost all the money I invested. When I was in high school, I studied stock market trends and watched the numbers fluctuate. It was fascinating. And I was addicted. I listened to all these finance “gurus” on the Internet. I wanted to be like them when I grew up. They appeared to make a lot of money, always knew where to invest, and had thousands of listeners. I sat on the edge of my chair absorbing every piece of their advice: “Silver won't go below $30 per share! It's the best investment!” “You’re an idiot if you don’t invest in gold. The economy is tanking. You need a tangible investment for when the dollar crashes.” “The Federal Reserve is destroying the dollar. Get out now.” They played on my fear. I had saved over $10,000 to help pay for college. Then, I started to wonder: “What if all my savings become worthless?” “What if I regret not taking action now?” So, I took Peter Schiff’s advice and invested all of my savings into gold and silver stocks. In less than a year, the stocks lost half their value. I was devastated. I felt like an idiot. My parents were equally upset. It was such a sore topic to talk about that no one brought it up again. This made me feel worse. It took a couple of years to gain a better financial footing to help propel my career. Now, I refuse to listen to any Internet or T.V. “guru.” It’s a rough lesson to learn when you’re young, but it helps you better evaluate future decisions. If you got a team of the worlds best turtle surgeons, could you somehow pull it off by putting like an exoskeleton there or something? If you got the best of the best, I’m sure it could be made to happen. The complication is that the shell is fused to the spine, which contains the spinal cord. Severing the spinal cord is never good for any chordate (of which a turtle is one). Severing or damaging the spinal cord can lead to paralysis or death. So you have to be extremely careful what you’re doing. Further complicating an already complicated procedure is that it appears that a turtle’s lungs may be attached to the upper shell by connective tissues, which would have to be severed and reattached after a replacement is fitted. This would require artificial respiration in a human, since our lungs are negatively pressurized by the extension of our diaphragms and rib cages, which are more flexible than most of our bones. This setup requires the maintenance of a vacuum in the thoracic cavity, which is one of the reasons punctured lungs are such a serious injury. The more air that gets into them, the more the lungs are compressed, the less air you’re able to take in. This is aside from the bleeding, which is another big problem. Anyway, this is not how it works in turtles (at least in sea turtles), they have a pelvic muscle that performs a similar function. The upshot is the muscles use the turtles own guts to squeeze air out of the lungs, and then relax the pelvic muscles, allowing air back in them. Problem is, the muscles responsible for the turtle’s respiration anchor on the ribs. Which, like pretty much the rest of the turtle’s skeletal system, is fused to the shell. So theoretically, if a doctor could un-fuse the shell from the spine and ribs, he or she could remove the shell with minimal damage. But that’s a very big ask. The turtle would have to be sedated for hours upon hours, and this is trickier for reptiles than it would be for any mammal. The smaller the turtle, the more anesthetic must be used (this has to do with bone density), and they require heating and eye lubrication for support while they’re out. Honestly, it may be another way to combat terrorism. Those who preach against other religions have forgotten that they are also not perfect. They got their shortcomings and weaknesses. |
What is the most embarrassing text message you have sent to the wrong person? In college I had a crush on this girl. She was religious and I guess I have a thing for the religious types. I had dreamt about her at least half a dozen times and so I had this cockamamie idea that we were “meant to be”. I asked her out our Freshman year. She said she didn't have the time. I asked her out our Sophomore year. She said no. I asked her out our Junior year. She said she had just gotten a new phone and didn't remember her number (of course I didn't believe that). Senior year I had found out there was an exchange program to Slovakia. They needed an Electrical (me) and am Optical engineer (her). I sent her the announcement to see if she knew anyone who was interested (of course I had hoped it would be her). Just to confirm my suspicions, I checked her new number and sure enough it was the same as her number was in freshman year. She had lied about getting a new number. I was still clearly infatuated. My gears were turning. I had a plan on how we could spend more time together. I wrote it out in one long text message and sent it to my friend. It was only I had already sent it that I realized I had sent it to HER! Imagine my horror. I called my friend. He thought I was screwed but he called his older sister anyway to see if there was anything I could do. The answer was a “He’s screwed.” She was on guard the entire time there. Eventually I stopped trying to make conversation. I explored the city by myself. I started going on trips on my own. When we had returned and finished our project, I suggested we (our group) go have a dinner to celebrate (it was night time and we had worked the whole afternoon). At this point I had already given up and was just trying to be sociable one last time. Excuses were made. I said I was going on my own anyways. I had finished my dinner and was about to leave when guess who walks in? Her and one of our other group members. It seems they had changed their mind. They seemed shocked that I was leaving. But really, what was I supposed to do? Stay and watch them eat after they didn't seem to want to socialize? We never spoke again and I wish her all the best. But, I'm satisfied that I will never wonder “what could have been.” I tried (several times). That’s all you can do as a guy. My boss gave me 30 days (not working days) to learn Python to transfer to Data Science team. What is the best approach to learn as much as possible? Background: I’m working as DB and BI Developer and interested in joining Data Science team. Boss asked me to learn Python as much as possible and he will hold a test and interview after 30 days. Just to be clear - I’m not looking at Python web development. In order to prepare for a position on a team you already work closely with, you should spend close to 100% of your time learning about their Python code, not “learning Python”. However, for most data scientist positions, you won't be able to learn the required skills in 30 days. If the only thing separating data scientists from BI developers at your company is Python knowledge, they are BI developers who know Python. Data science heavily involves statistics in most cases. You cannot learn applied statistics enough for those positions without investing a lot of time. If you spend 30 days learning a language and memorizing a few snippets of ”data science” code, and then start applying statistics, you will make many mistakes and you will have no way of knowing that you're making them. And if that's how your data science team is run, you may not want to be a part of it. On October 7 2008, DAAR Communications Plc formally launched the first fully Nigerian base digital multi-channel direct-to-home subscription TV – Daarsat. Later, it disappeared. A few year ago, it reappeared again, and was marketed vigorously. Then we stopped hearing of DAARSAT. Is it still in the market? Is DAARSAT decode still available? Can the decoder still be bought? Or has everything gone into history? Neteller here: www..com.ng |

I have been in US for about 5 years on H1B and working in a top tier tech firm. My employer has filed my GC in 2013 but in EB2 it can take roughly about 10 years more (average). I have good savings to also start something in my home country. Looking to hear from people who have waited that long. Forget US go to Canada. It is close enogh. It is easy enough to get Permanent Residency. After five years and becoming Canadian citizen you can come to work to US again under TN provision (if they keep it in place which is not clear right now). On the other hand what do you mean waiting for GC? You are still working, making money, accumulate even more savings, No? I remember this episode from Golden Girls TV show. Sophia talks to her daughter Dorothy: Sophia: I decided to go to law school and become a lawyer. Dorothy: Mom, but you are 85. It takes seven years to become a lawyer, by the time you do it you will be 92. Sophia: In seven years I will be 92 anyway, I might as well be a lawyer. I don't believe that cats aren't loyal. They have limited physical strength, but then, so do small dogs. But, take for example, the case of the cat that came to the rescue of the toddler who was attacked by a dog: For an animal to be loyal, it needs to form a bond and feel protective. The above example is one of protectiveness. Do cats form bonds? I can say with absolute certainty they do, having been a cat owner. I was motivated to come up with this write-up by the comments of the ladies on a thread I dropped yesterday. I was so amazed when about 95% of ladies claimed they were vi rgins. The importance of vi rginity cannot be overemphasized any time any day and it's a thing everyone should endeavour to keep for reasons best known to you. The rate at which our ladies claim vi rgin these days is so alarming and i just shake my head in disdain when I see them use it as a leverage to show purity thereby making others feel intimidated I personally believe vi rginity shouldn't be a showcase of holiness or a display of egoistic attitude. When you still have your vi rginity, it's for your own good and NOT for the benefit of the nation When guys still have their vi rginity, hardly would their friends know because they will never show it off, rather they try to hide and pretend they are also BADOOs in order not to be ridiculed or laughed at. Guys you know that feeling when you claim you are a vi rgin in the midst of 50 guys.. Greatest height of bashing.. Hehehe Note: Don't get this post twisted because this is NOT an attempt to urge those who still have theirs to give it out, so if your comprehension skill is poor pls kindly read all over as many times as possible or better still, ask someone with a better comprehension skill to explain it to you Without wasting your time, let's get to business Just take a deep breath and pls don't read hurriedly Why Ladies Should Avoid Claiming They Are Vi rgins 1. It's Your Pride Which Other Will Not Benefit From I was shocked when a lady on my previously created thread was just blabbing " IT'S MY PRIDE & I'M RESERVING IT FOR MY HUSBAND" I mean whose pride should it be ? My own pride ? Smh In as much as your vi rginity is only for your own good, then why advertise it to the world because you want them to worship or adore you? 2. You Lose Your Respect Personally, I love vi rgins so much and I would really like to have one for myself but my love for a lady head on diminishing return if she claims being a vi rgin on a public forum. Many ladies claim vi rgins just to show to people that they are sexually disciplined and pure 3. Your Friend Start Watching Your Movement If you live in school hostel you should know what I'm talking about. Ladies in the hostel don't like when you pride yourself probably because you still have your vi rginity, that is, when they talk about sex you keep mute, when they talk about their boyfriends you keep mute because you want to show holiness. This trigger jealousy and they start watching your movement and the moment you are spotted playing a dirty game, they would mock you to the extent that you would feeling like packing out of the hostel. 4. It Shows You Are Immature A mature lady doesn't announce her vi rginity, she rather keeps quiet. She talks and mingle with those who have lost theirs without discriminating., Only an immature lady would squeeze their like face as if she has yoyo bitters in their mouths the moment sex discussion comes up 5. When You Are In Rome You Do Like Romans Just as the Bible has made us understand that you should sometimes do like sinners and mingle with them if you really to draw them to Christ. That is, when you are in the people who have lost theirs, it's even better to pretend you have also lost yours in order not to make them feel intimidated. . It was so disgusting a lady seek advice on what to do because a guy dumped her after getting under her skirt, only for a lady to storm on the thread and started claiming she would never open her legs for any man. Isn't that annoying ? 6. You Would Be Tagged A Liar My research has shown that the number of non-vi rgin definitely out weigh that one the vi rgins ( I don't want you to believe this assertion). Why claim a vi rgin when you know that people would doubt it ? It's better you avoid saying it 7. People Might Not Hype You Many ladies display their vi rginity status so as to make people see them as a different and rare creature. I'm sorry you might just be seen as that person who was fortunate due to lack of opportunity 8. Not everybody Is Obsessed With V!rgins The fact that you claim a vi rgin doesn't mean a guy would be gracing the floor. Vi rgin is not what some watch out for in choosing a life partner 9. You Are Tagged A Pretender If you are not tagged a liar you are likely to be tagged a pretender so what's the essence of claiming a vi rgin when you know that people would call you a pretender. It's better to not to talk about it at all than claim it Source: http://www.omolove.co/2017/02/why-ladies-should-avoid-claiming-they.html Neteller here: www..com.ng |

I have read enough about Saudi Arabia so I am just qualified to answer this. It didn't had economic sources and depended on dates and mainly camel products for economic help.
