Pls, help me with my tecno phantom a plus, i use this software " meteos-mtk6589-rom-edit-4gb-en" on it to increase the internal storage partition for apps from 1gb to 2gb after which resulted in bootloop, i have tried restoring my nandroid cwm backup via cwm recovery and wiping data and cache but still bootloop persist, it will just display "optimizing apps" then after that display "starting apps" and hangs for the first booting, successive bootings will just hang on tecno loading screen and then hangs there, pls help me, is there any solution. I guess i needs to repartition my emmc, because cwm recovery cant mount the emmc, which i think is the problem source. Pls, Is there a solution to it? Thks.

Coolstan: I should have posted on this earlier. Stay away from that app. Right now your emmc is corrupt and your best bet is taking your phone to Carlcare. Happened to me and neither sp flash tools or nandroid could help out

okay, thanks, are they able to fix yours? and for how much or still warranty? Also i think i wll need the stock recovery.img, so as to revert the cwm recovery to the stock one before taking it there.

texazzpete: That's a pretty good point you make here...and looking at the processes in the Tecno screenshots, it doesn't look like it's been running loads of stuff that'd keep the screen on....perhaps explaining the low percentage for the screen drain.

It'd be nice to hear from Tecno users what their battery life experiences are.

Another point to note is that drain from a dual SIM phone should be expected to clock in higher than that for a single SIM device...your device has to maintain a connection to different base towers simultaneously, of course.

you are right, i just tested it on my phone (Tecno D5), with single sim on and second one off, the cell standby drain reduced by almost 50% as compared to when 2 sims on. Besides my battery will last 2 good days on usage if there is no electricity, my nokia E5 would have had flat battery long before my D5 will be down, so the batterylife is above average as for me IMO.

@ OP, I am so passionate about programming, though i an studying surveying and geoinformatics but started offering programming from the 2nd year in school and i've loved it since then but we cant just go very deep in it, just BASIC and Visual BASIC because it's not our major. Mafia4life: The worst android phone ever produced by tecno is D5. Reasons ; poorest battery life, Worst ram utilisation, Worst game compatible phone, No 3G, worst internal memory, worst in price. Only little advantage is display. L3 has nice battery life and internal memory. 3G present

maybe you got a faulty Tecno D5, I have been using mine since April, it is a very good and excellent phone, none of all other tecno phones can be compared to it in display ppi and quality, superb battery life. Just do some research and give it a try, dont let anyone DECEICVE you. Except for lack of 3G.

supaeagles: Bros, great question but electrical engineering is crazy oh. You cannot simply multiply the two numerical values for voltages across two lines to determine voltage across the lines. You have consider it as a voltage difference. So even though the two lines are at the same potential (240 volts) they are at different phases (120 degrees diff). So the voltage difference across two live lines is not 240-240 it is instead square root (3) x 240 (voltage of one line to ground - which is zero volts) = 1.73*240 = 415v

Needless to say, that was an ill advised move by the unfortunate electrician. If he had the misfortune of working on an 11kV line then 11,000 volts would have surely done the damage. Even if it was a regular 240 volt 3 phase line, that would have been 415 volts across 2 lines

I once read a secreat about android(even, Tecno D5) wifi not connecting to adhoc wifi hotspots e.g. Joikuspot on symbian phones, though the joikuspot app for symbian turns the phone into wifi hotspot but the Tecno D5 wifi will never find that hotspot if searched but other gadgets, even my windows laptop's wifi can connect to the Joikuspot on my Nokia E5 but that stubborn tecno (android in general) will never find that hotspot talkless of connecting to it, I learnt there is a workaround to this problem so that i will be able to connect my Tecno D5 to my Symbian's hotspot (adhoc wifi). Pls, if you have a solution, kindly reply for the use of all, thanks.
