PoliticsArmy Begins Local Construction Of Assault Boats by ak47mann(op): 6:38pm On Jul 14, 2011
The Nigerian Army has started local construction of gunboats for use by its amphibious unit, thereby saving the country money.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Onyeabor Azubuike Ihejirika said hitherto, N300million was used to service 10 boats for the unit, an amount which he said was high.

He said this N300million was being spent on the boats every six months, but rather than deploy such money to servicing of gunboats, the army has decided to deploy the fund to construction of new boats at N55million each.

He said: “We have decided to embark upon the local construction of these boats, because when I assumed office, we discover that N300million was spent to service 10 boats and the boats became unserviceable six months after and we made enquiry and we got a local builder who built for N55million each which means with N300million we will get five brand new and the boat we built are Amoured proof.

“This type of venture implies that if we have one billion we can build 15 boats and in the process of building we deploy our men from the signals and engineering unit to be able to determine the type of communication equipment needed.”

General Ihejirika spoke during the 2011 edition of the Combat Support Arms Training week in Lagos, revealing that the force has rehabilitated light armoured fighting vehicles essential for internal security operations, adding that they would be deployed to crisis areas soon.

He directed commanders of units and formation of the Nigerian Army in Lagos to immediately organize a “scale A” parade for all soldiers and officers in the state, to ensure discipline.
Ihejirika said: “The idea is that every single soldier or occupant of Army quarters in Lagos must be accounted for by his commander. This exercise is related to security and have far-reaching implication for discipline. I am happy with the recent measure undertaken by units in Lagos to enhance discipline in Lagos.

So as a starter, why is fulani destroying people property?

no ones property is being destroyed, fencing will solve any problem

We are talking about farm lands, fencing is impractical solution.

Since the land is fixed the farmers havve "right of way" on their properties and fulanis and their animals are the ones mobile the burden is on the herders to yield and avoid stampeding animals from marching over Or grazing on the crops.

The villagers would be right to attack a herder that fails to respect their land. I'm wondering why such attack is not already happening with the herder left in a defensive situation and forced to accept a "new realization" in relations and acceptance on the land.

You are not welcome unless your presence will adhere by the local guidelines for grazing and transition.

Why the killing, why are they quick to brandish dagger? They seem to enjoy the perceived fear of a drawn dagger and therefore using that to initimidate and further create more fear. Fulani want the rest of the country to yield to it, right?

You are not sacred. Tell your Modibos to watch it or we will worship Ogun with their blood in Yorubaland.
eehh another Yoruba chest beating if they come ogun state now a whole village go scatter NA 2 DAY!!!! tongue tongue tongue

I've said it time and again,  Split the goddamn country. This country should be divided. Nothing more, nothing less.  At the moment, Southern Sudan is world youngest. Southern Nigeria can as well be too.

The ND militant have vowed that they are watching the unfolding drama with keen interest. And that they wouldn't hesitate to lynch the North when hostilities gets outta line. There's nothing anybody would do to keep this country. There's nothing anybody would do to keep this country. So we shouldn't even engage in any silly dialogue that will take us no where.

SPLIT THE GODDAMN COUNTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make you laugh, I know right,

Dumb dumb, you don't have to be part of an M & A transaction to deduce if something will go wrong or not. For the record, quarterly reports of ANY company is posted on their website. According to Financial Accounting Standards and feds, financial reports of publicly traded companies are disclosed to the public or you can request if you wish. Stop acting like an ill , how can I blame you, you never gave me your PayPal address so I can give you $8 to get your "fish inventory" for your trade. Now, if u had the brains, somneone paying $200+million for a company with bad debts in billions not dollars but Naira, shouldn't that send a signal?

It's not an excuse. There was a crash between some farmers and Fulani herdsmen in Anambra some time ago and before the news spread among us, the Fulanis were already in Enugu heading back North. For so long, such crash has not happened or repeated itself in that area.

Igbos don't react senselessly like the Northerners; they can't just start killing people,  It first comes as a rumour, then people discuss it, before they even think of reacting. Immediate reaction is mostly in the vicinity or community where such thing happened.
EVEN DOING THE ELECTION WHEN IGBO CORPERS WERE KILLED THE HAUSA POEPLE IN ANAMBRA STARTED MOVING TO MILITARY BARRACK FOR PROTECTION cool

manny4life:
To answer your question, I'm afraid but if that's what you will call it then "YES". Ask any M&A or financial associate, when dealing with a company with bad debt, it's often best to hire forensic analyst and auditors, they are best in identifying questionable items obviously these guys don't come cheap but they find every loophole and fraudulent accounting going on.

How that is possible, companies blanket their liabilities; in accounting, you have managerial and financial accounting, most fraudulent accounting is done on the managerial side, which is fed into the financial accounting side. What they report to the govt is the cooked up part of the managerial side, so a forensic financial examiner is NOT necessarily looking at financial statement, they are looking at the managerial side and it's loophole. If you want scenarios of fraudulent accounting, I can explain for you.

THIS ARTICLE AM GOING TO POST IS FROM DAILY TRUST NEWSPAPER!!!
Daily Trust reports in the last three days, speculations were rife in the university community that members of the Jama’atu Ahlis-Sunnati Lidda’awati Wal Jihad, popularly called Boko Haram, had sent a letter to Unimaid’s Muslim students directing them to vacate the campus because of an imminent attack on its strategic buildings.
On their part, students of the university said they received the announcement with mixed feelings. President of the students union government (SUG) Musa Terrang said he hopes the action taken will be in the best interest of the students. Fatima Sa’idu, a business administration student said “I am personally happy with the action taken by the university because we have been living under fear. In the last forty days, I have not been concentrating because whenever I heard a blast, it takes me long to recover.”
