I really liked the guy tho after he led the battle at the wall, especially after he gave the speech. I didn't like him at first because he was always beefing jon but after that battle, I started liking him.

Ok nice replacement for dragon glass in a dire moment. The look on the W.W when his spear didn't destroy the sword was epic though. But it was same look when Sam struck the W.W at Craster's keep.
But the Dragon glass is in more abundance than valyrian steel.

BTW, if you have a problem with the series you may as well stop watching it, you don't need to be demeaning it.

Read posts thoroughly before you conclude. Am a GOT tv fan from start of this thread. Ep 8 was great. My personal opinion was Ep 7 is far more dramatic and if you like, cathartic. If you don't like that, convince me what makes it a better episode.

The convos in ep8 from start to finish was tha bomb, every scene had one.

Ep7 gave birth to the action in ep8, so much talk without action in ep7 but in ep8, now that's where they walked the talk.

The white walker attack has long been long been anticipated. Cersei's arrest and Tywin's redemption in Ep 7 wowed me far more than anything in Ep 8.

I watched again, all I see is a scared guy just like the guy at the other end of the boat.

Frankly I found episode 7 more interesting. Though I understand the hype about the episode 8.

New Valyrian steel can't be forged anymore because the pros in the business don't exist anymore. Only reforging is possible and there are few people who can do that and not much Valyrian steel left.

The maesters may come up with a fresh idea e.g melt existing steel, dilute with other metals and make pellets .... .I mean think outside the box a la Blackwater.

You just try to kill their leader, see if their will will be broken. The King's Guard are only seven with only 3 introduced in the show. Why do you think they'll be able to pass the Warrior's sons ? The High Sparrow was able to manuever Cersei, so much so would he Joffrey. But LF wants chaos, why would he be there to counsel. The previous High Septons have been corrupt, buying into Lannister power. This one's different, he realises the attrosities caused by the people under the crown. Although they went overboard with the thing(in the show) like how they scattered brothels and drained all the wine in KL, and being against homosexuality. Hmm, no i dont see it, i dont see what Joffrey would have done, except from rage.

Faith indeed. Melisandre was able to swerve Stannis and his followers from the old gods to Lord of the light. She even burnt all the old gods at the beach. Joffrey in Tommen shoes, with all that love for his wife would bring hell on high sparrow and his followers. L.F with Elena's help would not allow himself be consumed in the chaos. A replacement leader or religion would be his counsel.

Joffrey unlike Tommen, knows he's king and he knows his powers.
Joffrey would have invited high sparrow to his court, cut out his tongue. Send a full complement of kings guard to release his wife and Lorax and ensure his mother dies in the process. . Sure, there will be anarchy but L.F will be there to counsel. A moderate high sparrow will be appointed and life goes on.

You are backing the wrong horse. The last time Stannis did not heed Melisandre, Blackwater campaign became a fiasco.
All Stannis has achieved so far has mostly been thru sorcery. Unfortunately for him, he can't use the same method twice. It's either he gives up his daughter or he loses.

To think after all the dothraki, qarth etc exploitJorah counselled her thru, she would eventually treat him like plague. I was expecting to see some joy in her, when Jorah appeared in the arena especially with Barristan's death.
