naijababe: I am glad I am not alone in thinking this. She is 10 for crying out loudPlease tell all the uncle ruckus on this thread. ![]() |
Since when did the words of an 11yr old child become so important to warrant front page? |
control all devices in my house with IR blaster. Locate co-ordinates with the compass. Track satellites position. Scan and clear vehicle error codes with Torque OBDII. |
The good ones are usually lithium ion. But you discover that the fake ones are just, stacked Ni-cad AAA batteries. My advise to buyers is to buy from reputable sellers. |
lekanfash: This OP don add salt and pepper for the tory. 1) Sunday Services start @ 10am in C.C.CAll correct except 2. Some beatings occurs with amure in a spiritually charged service. I mean those ones with full blast of incense and heavy spray of green water. When the emere girls start their display, the woli do some whipping but not with broom. |
The boy looks so much like May Ellen his mum. |
geefivez: Thanks so much with this reply. i can easily make my choice now.You could ask the seller to plug in a standing fan to the inverter, while in backup mode. If you hear a strong humming sound, it's modified sine wave. If not it is pure sine wave. |
hMMMM. So this is where those N350 red wine at Grocery Bazaar comes from. Thanks poster. |
Big Bros. Congrats. You are a source of inspiration from the day I joined this thread. |
@earthrealm It costs around £4 in UK at virtually all the retail stores. If you buying thru amazon, buy from amazon UK. US versions have 2 pin plugs and are rated 110v. You should buy one rated about 3000w for your fridge, cos the switch don't tolerate inductive loads too well. |
Those pix gives me the creeps. Certainly there's a lot we don't know. Fringe stuff. |

Just wash your hands frequently. Though 'chop knuckle' would be a better idea if universally accepted. |
bodejohn: I read sometime ago that a C10 battery have more backup time than a C20 battery of same capacity but I had to take sometime to cross check the facts before commenting. The link below should shed more light. You are correct. I checked your link and others. It confirms that for same battery, capacity rating increases with hours rating. My understanding of the terms were different before. |
Obinnau: How would you feel folks, if you wake up to hear GOT has been cancelled? Then HBO execs will spend the rest of their life watching their back. ![]() |
Yes roughly so. The hour tag is the linear part of the performance curve. Outside the linear part you get suprises. |
fikfik: The 4th is under the UPS.Congrats on your setup. Your suspicion may be partly correct. The 20hrs means the battery can 10amps over period of 20hrs. Beyond this the voltage dips drastically. You can view it as the linear part of the battery curve. So a 10hrs battery will not be 'linear' on same time period and load as a 20hrs. At 11.6kwh/d, you are having a pretty good harvest from your array. |
You were warned. You ignored the security man 'cause you thought you knew better. He simply removed what he felt (remember he is the security man) constitutes a threat to other customers. Go and resolve your issues with school security. |
tpia@:You mix it up, Akushe is "a poor person". Oshi is poverty. |
@ bodejohn True talk, but unfortunately so many charlatans are out there misleading people. Congrats on your new setup. |
720watts x5hrs= 3.6kwh Battery size approximately 3.6kwh/ 0.6* 0.9 approximates to 7kvah (assume 60% DoD , 90% inverter efficiency) Dividing by 24volts translates to a minimum of 4 pieces of 12v/150AH batteries For solar panels assume 8 hrs of good sunlight. You need at least 1.5kw of panel to reap 3.6kwh everyday (Lagos condition). I suggest you start with 2kw of solar panels. Nepa is an uncertain entity. You may need to add more panels later. You need a 45amp mppt charge controller and other accessories like breaker, fuse, shunts, cables etc. |
konami001: Gurus in the house, my greetings....9 x 80w=720watts I recommend a 2kva/ 24volts pure sine wave inverter To go further, you need to supply more info. Would you be using the fans at night thru to morng? Would nepa be involved? Is the location optimal for solar panel installation? |
It means diety. As in abuke oshin. |

dsunmade: I read that it's preferable to charge a 24V system with 2 12V chargers connected across each battery, http://smartercharger.com/faq/I think it should work fine that way. Your step down xformer though, should be at least 500w. Your concern about being underpowered is not necessary unless you plan to expand your battery bank. |
The ones you posted are 12volts. But your battery bank is 24volts? |
A lesson to all pet lovers. Animals can be just as unpredictable as humans. |
dsunmade: Please recommend a decent ac/dc charger with 5 charge state that i can use to charge my 24v, 400Ah battery bank? ThanksAny luck so far? |

The cost of an mppt controller would buy you a decent intelligent ac -dc charger with 5 charge state. I dont know what your dc source is, but if it is just a rectified voltage from a xformer, its a no-no for an mppt. |
