One thing this thread has proven is We mostly grow up to believe what our parents/guardians forced us to believe. If you grew up in a Christain home, there's 98% chance you'd become a Christain and defend your Christainity anywhere anytime ignoring the fact that you might have been easily born into a Muslim home. And Vice versa. Our God is a God of Variety. Btw, Im A Christain, Muslim, and Atheist at the same time. Oya, Deal with it. ![]() |

Kzinne: Mister man pls shut up. you made 500k from nairaland and did you give seun who gave you the opportunity to get such amount on his site through the contact you made, any dime? did you bother to ask for his account details? u see nigerians are very wicked. seun had beta wake up. ojb was in surulere doing free time for alot of artistes including 2face. when he had a problem, how many artistes bailed him out? it was amaechi and good willed nigerians who supported. seun had beta think. in 5, 10 to 20 years time, a younger beta and smarter young person would come up with a beta site and kick him out of business. by then he'll b say 40 or 50 years old. what does he fall back on? at that time folks like u wud definitely forget about him the way most of u have forgotten about the secondary schools and universities u attended. abeg take a seatAnd you compared music abilities with programming abilities? In this era? In 5, 10 to 20 years t ooo me, no younger person will have the advantage of time and experience Seun has accumulated over the years. Computer skills is like fine wine, it gets better with time. |
"The purpose of terrorism lies not just in the violent act itself. It is in producing terror. It sets out to inflame, to divide, to produce consequences which they then use to justify further terror. Via @Instablog9ja on Instagram: You must have come across this before: "The following distinguished individuals have been nominated for the 20** Silverbird Man of the Year Award. They are X,Y,Z. To vote for any nominee of your choice, simply text SMY, leave a space, then the name of your choice and send to 33120, not later than December 31st 20**." Well a Nigerian wrote this open letter ( pictured ) to SilverBird Tv. @Oluwapeejay: MY OPEN LETTER TO SILVERBIRD. If you think we Nigerians are jobless or fools, then YOU SILVERBIRDMUST BE OUT OF YOUR MIND!!!!!!! You want the rich to get richer and the poor to get poorer ? Even when MTN told us to"TEXT WIN" to win an Aeroplane we never did it,now you're telling us to vote for people like: Aliko Dangote, Ngozi Okonjo Iweala, etc as SilverbirdMan/Woman of theyear award Winner by texting, which will cost N50naira (Money for Bread /Akara) to vote for these people.... If they need it so badly, it should be a toll-free texting paid by them. We have no business with who ever is the Man ofthe year, what values does that add to us or what food does that put on the table of an ordinaryman ? If you are alive, feeding yourself and yourFamily, trust me, you are THE MAN OF THE YEAR. Credits--> Kemi Adetiba Visuals...Kemi is a creative visual director per excellence! She's done vid for Niyola, Lynxx, Bez among others. She also did Olamide's Anifowoshe video, Niyola's Toh Bad etc...Currently, she's the best video director in Nigeria IMO. |

And if it's possible, what are the necessary steps alos if it's not, what advice will you give me? Please i need an answer on this, help a brethren ![]() |
@OP Now you should get what you want here easily. |
i support lightheart's stance on this. One group, One Brand, One Identity...If it a group with multiple ids, confusion will set in and also it will be difficult to manage several brands. Another point his, your Uncle might want to incorporate several business ventures later, yet another brand? No, I dont think so. I did something similar for someone here on Nairaland sometime ago in one of my thread, I think Abase or thereabout, and I think it was okay, it's better to have a brand house all of that. |
Cool stuff...but your company name got me rolling Bleep* what? |
Now back to the real discussion. I can't say there's one particular online business that's the best. The reason why there are so many failed e-businesses in Nigeria is Fundamental. It's with our mindset. An average Nigerian is always about making the money/profit within a short period of startup like its money ritual. No. Online business owners should not always focs on the profit aspect as startups. I strongly support the idea of going Freemium before Premium. Facebook, Google, Nairaland are typical examples. They started getting paid when they had enough subscribers. When people got addicted and it became difficult to dump. They became our daily routine so it was easy for them to start charging. if we decide to solve a problem for free as starters, charging people afterwards will be easy as enough Trust would have bn gained overtime. |
I don't think because the owner of craigslist.com.ng has decided to name his domain after a popular domain makes him or the site "wayo". He's just trying to make his site enjoy the glory of an already established site. Although, he might later come to face still legal issues especially if Craiglist.org owners have a Trademark to their name. Although, I don't totally support the idea of naming your owner domain after an already established domain, he could have achieved the same effect or even stronger effect if He had chosen an indigenous name for his domain, that'd have a closer relationship to its target audience than some foreign 'Craig' name. Alibaba.com, for example is enjoying more success rate in Nigeria, because we have a popular celeb named Alibaba. Whereas, infact, it is not in anyway related to him. If he has a robust operational model, understands the Nigerian factor, Craigslist.com.ng might come to become a popular doamin in the Nigerian e-commerce industry |
@OP, you should have posted this in the Graphics section. Or simply check artists on the section, their past designs and contact details. I'm sure there are very good designers in there. Goodluck. |

There's a lot to this masterpiece than meets the eye. But to satisfy the OP's view about this work being over-hyped. I'd say Yes, it actually is over-hyped. But then, the OP should note that this work like the Bermuda Triangle, The Illuminati, The Holy Grail, and countless other controversial discussions have been made popular because they all have several unique things about them, hyped or not, the work is a masterpiece in the art community. The painter's personality as one of the greatest artist in history also has continued to fuel the hype, after all, he, Leonardo Da Vinci, admitted that this work, MonaLisa, was one of his greatest. |
joywendy: thanks alot. why do u say so if i may ask?I've followed your posts, a larger %tage of them are based on fashion, entertainment and glitz...and your "Fashion Police" idea...having a blog for that would be cool, you get? |
Fixed |
As some poster rightly said, the comparison is on what basis? Generally, Facebook, I think has a lot more traffic and Zuckerburg is widely popular, Twitter is Cool, you can never get bored on there and the 'Trend' feature makes it awesome for latest happenings, Instagram is cool too, that's if you are the type that's into photosharing or Photography in general, I love its On the fly PhotoEditing feature too...My opinion. And as for you Joywendy, you should start a fashion blog or something (Seriously and straight from the heart) |
