Using the same games I ran on the R9 290X, I will be aiming to achieve a minimum average framerate of 60FPS at 1920x1080(Full HD quality), showing the quality settings used. The previous test sheet will be updated to reflect this.

CPU - i7-4790K @4.4GHz
RAM - Kingston Hyper X fury @2400MHz
Motherboard - Asus Maximus Ranger VII
PSU - Corsair AX860i
GPU - R9 380 4Gb @985MHz Core Clock, 1450MHz Memory Clock

And I'm also having a hard time installing God of war...while installing it gets to about 75% and cuts off without installing completely....when I ttried to open the game it would show a black blank interface with continuous repeated sounds of the game....I was thinking maybe the CD was damaged...I replaced it from the store i got it from..same palava...pls help if u got something!

AFAIK, God of War is a PS3/PS4 exclusive. Are you using an emulator or you are trying to install a console game on a PC?

Its still alive. I've got about 10 more titles to test.
Your i3@2.5Ghz is paying off...I will at some point test a laptop with an AMD mobile APU with an R5/R7 iGPU.
Historically, AMD has much stronger iGPU's than Intel.

You need at least
i5 5200U Cpu
2Gb GT 940m Gpu
8Gb Ddr3 1600mhz Ram

This will give you playable framerate on GTA V. But 150k may not be enough. Let us know what you find for that price.

Thanks a lot...I've installed it.but I'm having a bit of a problem...the graphics are poor and I can't seem to move its quality from low to medium or high in the display quality setting....also.in the specification setting only The Ram and Processor are marked Good in blue..but GPU and Vram and...are showing red N/A...how do I rectify this?
And sometimes when I playing it runs smoothly then all of a sudden..the commentary starts stuttering and the actions becomes very very slow paced..pls help me!

The GPU you can't do anything about as that can't be upgraded. As for the VRAM it may be possible to increase it manually in the BIOS settings. To enter the BIOS, with the computer turned Off, press the power button to turn On the computer, and repeatedly press the F10 key (if F10 doesn't work, try F1, ESC or Del). Normally, the HP splash screen will display a message to press F10 to enter the BIOS just before the BIOS menu is displayed. Check if there is an 'Advanced Menu'. If there is, share some photos of that menu and submenu if you can.

As for the game suddenly slowing down, it could be a result of thermal throttling. This happens when the CPU temperature rises to a certain amount, it will cut back it's clock speed, affecting performance. Thermal throttling can be reduced by having better cooling. Go buy strong AC put for room, wear sweater dey play game make cold no catch u .

you can check for thermal throttling by having Task Manager running, select the Perfomance Tab and select your CPU. You CPU is rated to run at 2.16Ghz. See if it drops lower than that when playing for a while.

I received the AMD R9 380 today and will be doing some game testing. This GPU's direct competitor is the GTX 960(coming soon) and we will see which is relevant for current DX11 games and future DX12 and Vulkan games.

Game tests to follow in the coming days.

You can't upgrade/install a graphic card in your laptop.

what I do is buy the disks on ebay and get the keys .to play multiplayer

One of the good things about buying a hardcopy is that you can sell and make some cash back when you want to.

Haha! I'm playing the campaign for now to get to know weapons and I'm still tweaking my DS4 controller sensitivity settings...once I finish the game on campaign, then I'll be ready for online. Ya'll don't want to see me being killed every 10 secs lol

Yea, that's the site. cdkeys send you the key. If it's a steam key, you download the steam app on your pc, enter the key and it will start downloading the game.

On non-gaming laptops it's not possible to do so, including yours.

where did you buy the installed copy from? Do You download the game from the site after paying,it comes with key?

It will favour PC gamers too. With the new API's(DX12 & Vulkan), game developers can improve performance. I've seen cases where AMD GPU's are seeing >30% performance boost.
What are you comparing this gen's graphics/physics and ai to that makes it unimpressive?

I enjoyed this game but my missus claims Black Flag is still the best mainly cos she prefers pirate stories rather then English history. Good game though +1

How good is this for gaming......i tried some games but am not satisfied even pes 2013 lags on it

Following a little research I did on the lenovo G50-30, it comes equipped with the Intel celeron N2830 dual core, no hyperthreading CPU. It's an entry-level CPU. This chip doesn't cut it for gaming to have favorable gameplay tbh. You can try lowering your resolution/image quality settings to see if it improves...most of the titles that run smooth on mine will run on yours too having a higher CPU clock speed.
Try Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Devil May Cry, Shank. You shouldn't have issues with those games.

FRAPS is a software you can use to display the framerate the game is running at.
