Ronke Oshodi Oke has disagreed with the claims that some celebrity failed marriages were caused because of their involvement in Nollywood.

Speaking on the high rate of divorce in Nollywood, the 45-year-old actress told Sunday Scoop, “It is not because they are actors that their marriages crash .

There is nobody that is insulated from what’s happening in the society at large. Generally, there are many marriages that don’t last. I have seen someone that was married for just two years and she left the marriage. It is not because one is an actress or an actor that one’s marriage would scatter; it is because that’s what is ‘reigning’ for now. It takes true love for anybody to remain in a marriage when the two partners no longer have feelings for each other.” On celebrities who engage in prostitution, She said, “People who do such things would still do it even if they weren’t in the industry. It is because that is who they are. Even if they are in another industry, they would act that way. The president once said that Nigerian youths are lazy. And that’s because everybody, including me, wants free money. Everyone wants to reap from where they didn’t labour.”

On the things she isn't happy about in the industry, Oshodi-Oke said,

“I wouldn’t say there are some things I don’t like about the industry because there are no jobs in Nigeria and this is the only opportunity many people have. I would have said the way people are coming into the industry is not the way they are supposed to, but people are just trying to make ends meet. We really cannot blame anybody. There are lawyers, doctors, engineers and other professionals among us who are supposed to be working in other fields. But when jobs are not forthcoming, they have no choice but to join Nollywood. Though I personally don’t like it, there is really nothing we can do about it.”

My aunt just committed suicide all because of marriage without love.

She got married to this guy 4 years ago after dating him for as long i remember. He does nothing substantial, she pays the rent bought the car for him, funded the wedding and gives him money.

Biodun Fatoyinbo, the Senior Pastor of Commonwealth of Zion Assembly, has surrendered to security agents and is currently being interrogated at Police Force CID Headquarters in Abuja over rape allegations made by Timi Dakolo's wife, Busola Dakolo.

Fatoyinbo is being interviewed by a team of 4 led by Asst Commissioner of Police, Adaku Uche Anya. Fatoyinbo is expected to be at the division for a while since Dakolo’s questioning was said to have taken about eight hours.

Mrs Dakolo in a tell-all interview published in June, accused Fatoyinbo of raping her when she was 17 years old, as a member of his church in Illorin. The clergyman has since denied the allegation and accused Busola Dakolo and other women that have accused him of sexual molestation, of attempting to extort him.

Theresa Buchanan, the magistrate handling the criminal matter, subsequently granted Mr. Okeke "Invictus Obi" permission to see a dentist during the hearing on August 7. She, however, insisted that the doctor must attend to the suspect in custody.

It was unclear how long Mr Okeke had been having issues with his teeth. He was arrested in the U.S. on August 6, just before he was scheduled to return to Nigeria, and arraigned the next day.

The F.B.I. had investigated Mr Okeke, widely known in Nigeria as Invictus Obi, and found that he was involved in online fraudulent activities that had fetched him millions of American dollars in recent years. His arrest sent shockwaves across Nigeria’s social media and blogosphere, having been previously profiled by several local and international media outlets as a model for shrewd business acumen for young people.
