Despite submitting a LETTER OF INVITATION scheduled for 25th February 2019. I still have gotten no response from the SA embassy till date. Though I submitted my application on 8th February, but I thought it was hassle free once you have all the necessary documents intact.

THIS IS VERY FRUSTRATING. It just makes me feel bad about my Nationality, because I see this as intimidation.

WHO IS TO BLAME FOR THIS MESS... Nigeria or South Africa??

Hello house, please how long does it take to get your passport back SA embassy, my elder sister applied since the last week in December and up till now, they are yet to call her to come pick up her passport. Her school resumed this Monday, she couldn't join them to resume.

Will highly appreciate a feedback from you all.

Write the school's international office before you withdraw your application.

I DONT THINK THAT IS A GOOD DECISION TO MAKE. SINCE YOUR DOCUMENT IS STILL GOING BACK TO SA CONSULATE IN ABUJA. I THOUGHT YOU ARE WITHDRAWING TO GO AND APPLY FOR A VISA TO A DIFFERENT COUNTRY.

What is the best way to go about this? Patience?

Mine has also been released and approved finally after 7weeks. Although with support from the international students office. I applied on the same day as yourself Jan 3. Thank you so much fam. All the best to everyone awaiting a positive decision. May you all be highly faviured too �

Guys I just got an email my passport is ready for collection this evening and this morning I sent an email concerning this issue but am not sure if that was what helped so good luck guyz

A friend applied for a study visa in the last month of November and got a response in the last month of January.
I also applied during the same week (same school and same programme), however, I am yet to get a response regarding my application.

That's messed up man. I'm thinking of applying for a withdrawal and going to apply in Abuja

That means nobody got an alert. This shows that it was just a rouse, giving people false hope. Quite disappointing. You can just see how these people are playing with us, Nigerians. Our government is not speaking for us. Nobody is speaking for us. Its a pity. I dont stay in Lagos, Abuja or Ph, I would have been paying them a visit from time to time till they grow tired of me. It is really a pity

I am currently applying for a south african study visa for my sister. I have provided medicals, insurance, acceptance letter and also details of RSA sponsor.

We have been to lagos for submission 2 times but turned back
They require undertaking letter from the learning institution.... the school wrote a letter of undertaking but it was rejected that is not the one. Am completely lost need assistance to what is exactly required. Please help anyone the school start date is 25th February 2019. So no time

It should be in the invitation letter. If it's not there contact the school's international office for assistance

i just left the embassy now and they said it’s not ready yet that I have to wait more till they message...I tried getting reason why it’s taking so long but all the could say was we were aware when we submitted that it could take longer than 6 Working days so I should wait

6 working days? I think the woman said weeks

I got a call from my agent this night that visa from December to January 9 is ready for collection at the embassy that it’s seems they have problem with their web so I think if you fall in this range try your luck

I was also informed that some passports have been released

we do brother, I reported case to Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abuja last year was told no one has complained only me. If we are more than 5 and above they will act.

How can we complain? Via email?

I had to send a mail to the SA Home affairs directly who I believe is attending to my case because they replied me and apologized for the inconveniences they caused me. Later they sent me another mail requesting for my visa application ref number. I forwarded all the documents and even attached a letter from my hod requesting them to expedite the process. So I believe they are already on it and hopefully it will be out soon.
