It's pretty okay,perhaps the country is mired in a never-ending cycle of poverty and violence, with little hope for improvement. Maybe the government is controlled by a corrupt elite that cares nothing for the people. It could also be that the country is engaged in a costly and senseless war that does nothing but bring death and destruction.

In any of these cases, it would be perfectly understandable for someone to feel disillusioned with their country and to want to express their dissatisfaction in writing.
