AutosHow Come No New Mazdas In Naija? by akininNC(op): 5:20pm On Sep 10, 2008
Dear auto gurus,
I work for a mazda dealership here in the us and I have noticed there are not that many listings for mazdas except for the old 626 and 323. They are building some nice products like the 3 series which compares favorably with the corolla and the cx 9 which won the suv of the year. They also have a compact 5 series mini van that seats 7 and has a sexier look for younger moms. Although it is a ford product a lot of the assembly is done in Japan. Any input will be greatly appreciated, because I am thinking of sending some home.
ComputersRe: Google Browser Challenges Microsoft: Google Chrome by akininNC(m): 3:37pm On Sep 03, 2008
Just downloaded chrome and I am loving the speed. I a m a long time user of mozilla and this might make me switch. A couple of minor glitches and getting used to the layout are the only drawback I see so far but the speed more than makes up for it.
AutosRe: Nationwide Satellite Navigation System 4 Nigeria Now Available, Travel With Ease by akininNC(m): 5:52am On Aug 26, 2008
@poster.
I would love to see this work, especially since I cannot live without it in Yankee land. But there are some issues with in Nigeria. There is no uniform names of streets in Nigeria, take Abeokuta for instance, the street I grew up on has 3 different names. I looked up your website for Abeokuta and most of the roads are "unnamed streets"
I wish you luck with this project but it is going to be difficult.

Anybody that pays MSRP for a cars just got ripped off. There is always discount, and if you have cash! boatload of discount.

So jaja77, I'm here for facts here is what MSN Auto says about a 2008 Camry
http://autos.msn.com/research/vip/Spec_Glance.aspx?year=2008&make=Toyota&model=Camry&trimid=-1
Where the invoice price is $2000-$3000 below MSRP

I work for a Toyota dealership And you do not get a Camry XLE (the best selling Car in the US) for $2000-$3000 discount, no matter whether its cash or credit. Its the same money to us. You discount cars you cannot sell not your best selling product!!!!!!!
InvestmentRe: Stock Market Tips For Nigerians by akininNC(m): 8:05pm On Sep 15, 2007
Thanks for the clarification, without a huge sell off @ what price would you get . I still think there is going to be further depression on the price that has nothing to do with performance but more to do with investor's lack of instant gratification. So many are making such quick roi that the concept of waiting for 3-5 yrs is foreign to them.

Are you saying you would not stake a position in Transcorp even @ #3 per share. It seems to me that they have too many businesses and one that we need in Nigeria hence they have to turn the corner in the long run. Pls let me know your position.

Do you guys have a position in Union Bank? What is your feeling about their prospects as to matching 1st Bank's performance. Also if you had over 30% of your portfolio in the bank would you divesting of some shares and use the proceeds in a more aggressive company.
Thanks for the input.

This is an open question to any stockbrokers in the house. I inherited some stocks from my father a couple of years ago. I started the transfer process in June 2005. I have a young stockbroker working on my behalf but I wonder if the process would be faster if I moved it to a bigger house. Has anyone gone thru the process and if so tell how long it took to accomplish the transfer.

@ Temmie10
Are you still bullish about Crusader?

Hello everyone,

2) Afribank (same I guess)

4) Nigerian Breweries (same)
5) Wapco (same)
6) Flour Mills of Ng ( sell or hold)
7) UAC of Ng( little movement sell or hold?)
cool UAC Property Dev. PLC( no movement at all sell or hold).
I Am seeking advice as to selling and buying some different stocks.
Thanks Y'all
