President Bola Tinubu is definitely winning Edo state in 2027. The governor is a very strong grassroots man and controls Edo central senatorial district. Oshiomole and Philip Shaibu are solidly holding Edo north. Edo south may flip to APC depending on who is the ADC candidate between Obi and Atiku. The PDP structure under the control of Dan Orbih will also work for APC. Overall, Tinubu wins Edo state clearly.
I'll still give it to Obi with Tinubu coming behind

Politics › APC Defeats NNPP In Ghari/Tsanyawa Supplementary Poll In Kano by Akpakomiza2(op): 8:29am On Aug 17, 2025
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has won the Ghari/Tsanyawa supplementary election in Kano State.

The Returning Officer, Prof. Muhammad Waziri of Bayero University, declared Garba Ya’u Gwarmai of the APC winner after he polled 31,472 votes.

His closest rival, Yusuf Ali Maigado of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, scored 27,931 votes.

The supplementary poll was held after the initial election in the constituency was declared inconclusive.

He replaced his late brother. But it seems the Jauro's family are good to their constituents members. Though it was a close election with a slim margin of 129 votes. In all, congratulations to the eventual winner- Hon. Musa Jauro. Go and represent your people well!
Opinion poll showed 90% of voters wanted him. What a humiliation for Atiku

So what's the strategy?
Tinubu is using NNPP to reduce Atiku's votes?
Whatever..

My point remains that if Atiku and Obi contest on a joint ticket or one steps down and supports the other,
Tinubu is gone!

The problem is if they split votes again like 2023.
It will be difficult to defeat Tinubu sir. Only Gej has a chance, is it not obvious by now?

The pattern of results from these by elections across the country yesterday simply shows that they're glorified local government "selection cum election" , where results are written in the state house and given to the state's electoral commission to read to the public ears.
But APC won in zamfara controlled by PDP and in Edo where is obidient headquarters

Kano is one place APC can never mess with and they know it.
For instance Just picture Tinubu removing the Governor of Kano state and playing with semantics by calling it "suspension" grin

Just imagine it for a minute.
grin grin
But after NNPP, APC is the second strongest in Kano. Tinubu will humiliate obi and atiku here. If you look at it strategically, it is a massive win for APC

Kindly share this story:

A huge crowd turned out Saturday to warmly welcome Minister of Defence, Badaru Abubakar, as he arrived in Jigawa State for the Babura/Garki federal constituency by-election in his home constituency.

The turnout was striking, especially amid swirling rumours that the minister might skip the election due to growing internal APC tensions. Speculation suggested a widening rift between supporters of the minister and factions aligned with Governor Umar Namadi, raising doubts about his appearance.

Saturday’s event, however, proved the rumours wrong as thousands of supporters greeted him with cheers, chanting slogans such as “Oyoyo Baba” in Hausa, which means “You’re warmly welcome home, father.”

Badaru’s absence had been notable at several key APC and state government events recently, including last week’s major campaign rally in Babura, where Governor Namadi publicly handed over the APC flag to candidates amid a massive turnout of party heavyweights.

Despite previous no-shows, the Defence Minister’s appearance energised the APC base, signalling unity ahead of the crucial by-election and reassuring supporters concerned about internal party disputes.

Several party leaders praised Badaru’s visit, saying it demonstrated commitment both to the party’s victory and to Jigawa’s development.

“Minister Badaru’s appearance today shuts down all rumours,” said APC stalwart Musa Shehu.
