Only Yobe is majority Muslim but there is still a significant Christian population.

NE is not homogenous as the NW when it comes to religion and tribes.

The reason Christians don't get positions is because they are divided more along tribal considerations. The Muslims, are however more united along religious lines.

I know southern Borno has a lot of Christians but Borno as a whole is Muslim dominated same as Yobe. Gombe north is Muslim dominated, Gombe central is Muslim dominated. Only Gombe south has sizeable christians. I can agree Adamawa and Taraba are Christian dominated but north east as a whole is a Muslim enclave

One of the masterstrokes that Obi struck going into the 2027 election is getting Kwankwaso to be his running mate. His 2023 running mate couldn’t even win his polling unit.

Now, the activities of NDC so far in Kano has been so refreshing and has pointed to some interesting results that await us in 2027.

Going by activities so far, it’s safe to say that Peter Obi will win Kano in 2027.

But even if he doesn’t, the votes he will garner in Kano alone will be enough to cancel out whatever inroads Tinubu and Atiku will make in Southeast and Southsouth combined.

I think mentioning Atiku here is mere academic because he is currently nonexistent in any state of the South; not even in middle belt. Which always leaves me wondering how his supporters are thinking he would win the election.

The South never voted for him amd still won't vote him in 2027. He even lost Lagos and Osun. The likes of Adeleke and Segun Sowunmi have made it clear that the only reason they are supporting Tinubu is because he is Yoruba but you draw the line at Northerners supporting Atiku. The anti-Tinubu wave is spreading very fast. Even tiktok is currently banned in several parts of the North because of this. What is coming is heavy o. APC members in the North are declaring support for Atiku citing Adeleke's position on supporting Tinubu because he is Yoruba. This Rainbow Coalition must go round.

Yesterday at Gezawa market in Kano, during our grassroots work, we met an APC member. He looked us in the eye and swore to God he will vote Atiku in 2027.

We asked him why.

That was just 18 days before APC’s first primary election the House of Representatives primary held on Friday, 15 May 2026.

Section 77(4) of the Electoral Act 2026 requires a political party to submit its membership register to INEC not later than 21 days before its primary election.

So let us leave the noise and deal with the law.

O.K. Chinda was registered on 27 April, the question is straightforward:

How could his name have been in the membership register APC submitted to INEC within the statutory 21-day period before the 15 May primary?

APC did not submit one register for the Reps primary and then magically produce another register for its subsequent primaries. The statutory register is the document that matters.

This is not a matter to be settled with threats.
It is not a matter to be settled with insults.
And it certainly is not a matter to be settled by shouting down the question.

No part of the law says it has to be that register. The Electoral Act only says "submit a register before Primaries".

21 days before primaries. Pdp have obviously violated that section

Pantani joined the PDP on May 26.

That was long after the register was submitted.
