APC cannot win Katsina, let's be realistic. In fact, APC will lose the NW and the NE. The margin of the defeat will determine the outcome of the election.

That said, I still believe Tinubu will win. Outrightly winning a state will not matter too much in the forthcoming presidential election. In 2023, Tinubu lost Lagos, Kano, Katsina, and Osun. Yet, across these four states, he got around 2 million votes, representing 33% of Obi's votes and 30% of Atiku's votes. At the moment, Tinubu will come at least second in almost every state in Nigeria. That should seal the deal for him, except the NW break massively (the Buhari way) in favour of Atiku.

Atiku really upset the cart by announcing that he would return subsidy. Whether you agree or not, the dynamics of the 2027 elections changed after that announcement. Atiku currently even has more momentum than Peter Obi.

APC has Katsina sir. The ADC is empty there. There's no way Atiku can have bloc votes up north

Obi and delta are heavily urbanized na and that's where obi is most popular. Those other areas are mainly rural and obi isn't very popular there. You saw how obi struggled there. He will lose this time

Nothing shocks me. Bauchi is a state dominated by radicals. They usually gave buhari the highest ratio of votes after Kano. Buba has been popular that is why he won the elections in the governor's zone. I was thinking APC would give him the ticket. So you are still supporting Atiku? He will not get 25% in any SS or SE states. Nobody wants to hear of him. The people and structures that helped him get in SS have all left to APC. I know he will get in osun and one other SW states. Even in north central, he will struggle....

Makinde is not actually spoiling things for Tinubu but for Atiku and obi. People that will vote him are those that won't vote for Tinubu at all. We have two types of voters, APC voters and opposition voters. Opposition usually vote anything but Apc. Some will now move to Makinde. The 180k atiku had in Oyo will now reduce by half or more, the 90k obi had will also have. The more the opposition , the better for Tinubu.

Tinubu wasn't really neutral in osun, he just didn't push things because he knew Adeleke is the most popular factor in osun. Osun won't really matter even if Atiku wins because Atiku has lost out in the south

Believe me, since Atiku promised to restore the subsidy, Apc supporters have been clamouring for Tinubu to do same if he doesn’t want to lose votes from Osun and besides, this issue of local government issues is making it difficult for Adeleke to sell him. Atiku is really popular in Osun 🏧. I am not surprised. I see osun giving Atiku above 25%, the only state that will give him so in the south. He might have got same in Oyo if not for makinde.
