Good morning @ all.

For those with the prediction that USD would soon exchange for N250/N300, my advise to you is to change all your savings and unearned salary to USD and leave NSE for those who still want to trade. With that you can make a SURE 20% ROE in few weeks time (Gteed in your mind but not in reality)

Thanks for helping. I quite understand that part but I am particularly interested in knowing the reason behind such limits - is this an NSE rule to prevent a share from a free fall?
Basically NSE stance IMO. I picked some JBERGER shares this morning @ N38.15, FINGER X

Please can anyone kindly explain the error below;
295: Trade rule - Price limit exceeded (price cannot be less than 1.93)
It means you can't set your 'BUY' price below 1.93

@all, a look at JBERGER stock won't be a bad idea. My premise is based on the fact that the share is trading farrrrrr below its 52 wks LOW. Greenish mode will be activated soon IMO

Surprised that nobody is asking the variety of this persons' portfolio. Ability to wriggle out of this mess is a function of the kind of stocks your friend is holding.
You are so on point.

@cuteboy2- Very good analysis but you failed to mention the effect of rising brent crude in your analysis ALSO i quoted this from your write-up "Many have large portfolio of foreign denominated bonds and other debts. Some are highly exposed to petroleum sector debts. If the foreign debtors call in the debts they are in trouble". These kind of equity forms the bulk of banks Tier 2 capital which has defined terms and agreement on return, tenor, rate etal (irrspective of staus of P&L of the institution) which is 'sacrosanct'(latest terminology in town) so on no occasion will any investor call in their investment b4 due date.

@all, don't take today's trade as a sign of any reversal on NSE. I just believe that it's giving opportunity for some guys to recoup their lost cash and not necessarily for some1 to go all out and take position except your RISK APETITE is HIGH. My 1 cent.

Like I said last week, i predicted starting from yesterday that Market wud likely return green owing to majority of stocks trading below 52wks low and not on any other analysis, macroeconomic or socio political-fundamentals. I don't agree with myjoy08 position above.

I entered Oando this morning @ N12.91 and it's making a lot of sense. A diamond bank entry @ less than N3.64 will be a good 1 too, i entered Diamond few mins ago @ N3.57, finger XXXX

Some ppl are very coded. A friend of mine withdrew her money from stock market in August. Converted them to dollars at 165 now shes is sitting on 27%gain. She withdrew about 12million.
That is no big deal cos some guys made more PROFIT (>27%) on NSE in DEC alone talkless of other months prior to DEC.

Thanks bro. Good advice. But some experts advice setting and selling at a stop-loss point of 6 - 8% loss. With a view to re- entering at a much lower price should the bear continue. What do you think?
It depends on the entry price and Risk appetite of the investor. Thanks to Morgan Capital's negligible Fee also

My advise to those @ the receiving end of this BEAR is to HOLD on and not sell for now. If you are a good student on NSE, you will discover that after BEAR of few days, BULL will definitely surface. I won't be surprised if we see Rally by Thursday

you are very right, have been careful not to be trapped cos the exposure of banks to oil and gas and more stiff environment is a serious concern on banking stocks. But man must be make profit and being smart enough not be trapped.I have been careful of banks that are too much exposed. d likes of skyebank, uba, fbnh can not survive.
How do you mean by 'they can't survive'? Have you heard of Hedging, Options and other derivatives b4? Most of those big banks (UBA, FBNH, ZENITH) hedged 80% of their Oil and Gas exposure and the effect of drop of global Oil Prive have lil or no effect on their assets. I don't have any exposure in bank shares for now but i think the reason why most of shares are trading below book value is MAJORLY hinged on POLITICAL/Country Risk (Uncertainty on next election) as a whole

I'm out of FCMB, i bought @ N2.03 on JAN 23 but out today @ N2.10 (No gain, no loss). I can confidently say I've tried as far as JIJO is concerned. I'm taking the back seat for now. This market is heading to an unknown destination, when u think it has bottomed out, that is when some so called "stocks with fundamentals" will start their break dance. Enough is Enough till after election.

@Kagame-- well said, i can't but agree with you. U stated a convincing fact. Please we need you more on this platform. Enjoy the rest of the weekend. All the same, I still make few profit here and there aspa JIJO level especially on ACCESS and FCMB stocks (High Risk, High gain)
InvestmentRe: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Aks(m): 2:56pm On Jan 24, 2015
@Kagame----The NSE status as at now has defied all LOGIC, MARKET INTELLIGENCE and INFORMATION as u stated. I'll advice you to state your prediction on NSE or better still operate at SAFE MODE than for u to have a GO at Chibuking (JIJO master) grin grin grin grin grin

As for the end of the month activities due to influx of worker's salary, i know it used to be in times past but can't say anything on it as at NOW. Mayb Chibuking is more privileged than some of us smiley smiley
