OyoTunjiUSA:

Hey 🤠

1. Your last paragraph made me believe that you are a genuine PhD candidate. By years long research, 95% of PhD students are doing it for the natural love for education and all of them prefers the doctorate degree to any achievements of life.

2. The department you applied to does not (presently) have fundings for incoming PhD applicants, and perhaps , the few professors in that department could not or have not secured research grants. Hence, they don't want you on PhD for now.

3. If the above is not the case then you do not have the required qualifications to get into their PhD. ** If you are very certain of your academic qualifications, then don't accept the Msc offer. Look out for other Public Reaearch Universities .

Best Wishes 🙏
Many thanks for your response. I actually did my MSc in Australia ( The University of Queensland) graduated with a distinction and I have one publication and the other one is under review now.

Hello House,

I need our advice please. I applied for a PhD in energy policy and I was given admission for Master degree In energy policy. I had already accepted the offer before I realized the admission given was for a master degree. Infact it was in the process of filling a form to request for the form I-20 I noticed that I had to fill the funding source or statement of account. It was then I checked the details of the admission offered to me.

I wrote the graduate school and they told me I should contact my department. I contacted the department they told me they worked based on what they sent to them from the graduate school. I am at a cross road now and I don’t even know what to do again.

I am planning to write and inform them that I am no longer interested in the admission given to me since they refused to offer the PhD in energy policy I initially applied to.

I need your advice please.

Hi All,
I really appreciate everyone contribution so far. I will declare that I have disability if there is a portion like that in the form. I underwent elbow replacement surgery which prevents me from carrying out some certain tasks. I will tell them that they need to support me to stabilize myself over there.

In addition, regarding the issue of settling down before thinking of bringing the family to USA. Do you think they will grant my family the visa in my absence.

I have travelled to some countries (Australia, 2 yes, Germany ) and returned back to the country without them. I don’t want to risk such again.

Hello Everyone,

My name is John. I secured a PhD admission to one of the US universities with full funding. I plan to apply for visa together with my family. I have 3 children together with my wife. Will it be advisable to include them in the visa application as dependents? Your candid advise on how to go about it will be appreciated.
Thank you.

I am in the same situation. I was offered a scholarship for PhD in the US, and I am working in a good place (Government Job) in the power sector in Nigeria. Can I go ahead and do my PhD or forget about PhD and concentrate on my job? I need people's candid opinions, please. I am still contemplating on what to do.

I think the best thing to do is for all of us here to sign the petition. My brother and sister we are suffering in Nigeria. I think the best thing to do is to collaborate together with our Igbo brothers and fight this fight.
Come to think of it, we cannot not continue like this with this people. The ideology, culture and other things are difference. I think the best that can happen to that country is for everyone to go on its own.
Look at the number of graduates looking for job every year. No electricity, no water, no tangible basic infrastructure that can help a nation develop. At least in the early 80's we used to see little infrastructure. This day, it is getting worst.
Please let Yoruba people unite together and fight this course to the last. Some of the current leaders have benefited immensely from the milk and honey of Nigeria in the past. It is better for we youth to take the bull by the horn and fight for Oduduwa nation.

Autos / Australia Scholarship by alamercy: 9:12pm On Sep 05, 2019
Hello house,
Please I need you people candid opinions too. I am in the same situation with the first writer. I just secured a scholarship to go to Australia to study Renewable Energy Management.
I am currently working with monthly take home of around #250k.
The condition attached to the scholarship is that you must come back to develop your country for at least two years, after that you can be given opportunity to apply for PR or do any other things in Australia. I have about 10 years experience now.
Please can I take up the scholarship or just forget about it and continue with my work in Nigeria.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

I think it is very good to know the latest information about the DPR job and any other relevant jobs advertisement out there. But, before DPR job comes one need to be doing something to earn income, even if it is one Dollar per day. Or is it possible for one not to drink water or eating in a day. I think everybody knows answer to that.

The moment you get out of bed, wash your face, Pure Water Companies will be counting on you and when you brush your teeth, Closeup, Colgate, OralB and Pepsodent will be earning on you. When you charge your phone, NEPA will be reading meter and your credit is going. When you move from your house to the office , Taxis,Danfo, Okada or Keke Marwa Owners will be counting their money through you. If you are driving , Filling Station Owners will be collecting their own share and when you check your Whatapp, Facebook, and others Social Medias and Telecommunication companies will be making money on you.
So, anyday you wake and before you get out of the house , you have already paid all those companies mention above something either big or small. You have already spent money, talk-less of the rest of the day.
So if you are going to bed without making money , how are you going to foot all those bills? So, do something about your life today. Start thinking about how to make money everyday. Think residual income www.alamercy.com.ng. You can start with a small targeted amount and grow as you go. Start with something that will give you a little cash even if it is $5, $10 or #10, or more a day. It is better than going to bed without making even a kobo in a day.
Put your faith into action , take risks and start making money online.
Moreover, salary alone cannot solve your financial problems. You need secondary sources of income to balance.
Salary is a medicine for managing poverty it does not cure cure it. Only your business or investment cures Poverty. Be financially intelligent....... Have a plan B. For more information kindly visits www.alamercy.com.ng
