lilmizwierd: Geez man u try o I don't read more than 5 lines la and am a year 1 students if I graduate at this age even shell won't gimme cleaner job Dude am not federal government o :O :O :O or shell shey they have public complaint hotline U can use that , by the way you get sugar I want to eat cornslakes
lilmizwierd: Thank you jhoor It's the Norm everywhere B.Sc is the oga at the top then the HND guys can step in It's not just shell every company does that That's why teachers run to get Master's the more qualification the higher thy salary Meanwhile shell harsh o second class for good
As a human being, I can say I'm 99% sure that neither of you can withstand this guy in any aptitude test! Most of you only by chance carry empty certificates about. What makes you think you are more privileged than he is, for being a university graduate? Only time and chance, if you care to know.
By God's grace, I finished with second class upper from a prestigious university. Yet, I know there are several HND holders who are more intelligent and creative than I am. I just wonder what shell and the likes look for in an applicant; is it the certificate or the brain/personality? I see a fleet of Bsc holders with little or no brian, let alone a comely ATTITUDE.
In conclusion, I'll advise you and anyone who's in your shoes to please try as much as possible to step it up. You might be the one your generation is waiting for to stop this madness. Do everything possible (with God) to take the mantle and correct the wrong. You can never be limited by anybody, let alone a piece of paper called certificate!
predatorX: everyone believes in hell. Hell is hades, sheol or Gehena. A resting place for the dead. What i and common rational thinking people do not believe exists is HELLFIRE. Who created it? and to what purpose? Yet crazy christians preach about it and stress on the torment there so that people would fear sin.
And BTW i'm no JW
"Fear sin"? That's rather a funny statement! Well, the facts of the word of God can never be understood and adopted by people like you; "common rational thinking people". They are meant for those who live by Faith.
You better put aside every weight and ask God for the real WORD/TRUTH. This has nothing to do with all the letters(greek, hebrew, etc) you've so much familiarized yourself with, because they (letters) kill! Isaiah 44:25 and 1Corinthians 8:1b.
In conclusion, hell is never a resting place sir! Rather, it is full of torment, torture, agony and regret; Matthew 13:42.
naughtynaughty: thank u jare. Jehova witness kor..pple dt don't bliv in hell. Abeeggiii
Though, they are worthy of emulation as far as what is required of us as believers (disciples) is concerned; "....and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in........and unto the uttermost part of the earth". Unfortunately, they are doing a wrong thing in the right way!
A funny guy said they believe in hell, but not in hell fire; does that make any sense as far as Revelation 20:15 is concerned? Some of them even say they are the ones that will inherit the earth. These are inadvertently hilarious beliefs my people.
Summarily, I don't care what religion you practice, all that matters is JESUS; "I'm the way, the truth and the life". Romans 10:9; "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved"!
NYSC is simply causing more harm than good. Why not make this thing optional now FG?! I honestly do not see any importance of the program except the 3 weeks in the Camp. Although, what will happen might still happen. But, it shouldn't be recorded that is happened during the NYSC. All the family members will think as human beings is that; "may be she wouldn't have died if she hadn't gone for that program"
Sanguine: All these comments (especially from the guys) just got me laughing... #bigGrin. Ok Now, lemmi say my own. *clearsThroat. 1) He must have a well paying job or a very viable business or both (that's a sign of responsibility).
2) He must have a great sense of humour (I love to laugh and play too. Lol).
3) He must be a great conversationalist (I love to talk and gist #smiles).
4) He must be a good cook (I like food, so we can take turns cooking #lol).
5) Above all, his heart must beat real hard for GOD (now, that is very very key and germane).
cutemaria: That's great but the Godly part could have made it perfect.
I hope you'll be very sincere and steadfast my dear. Only God makes a woman beautiful and a man strong! Any woman/man without God isn't beautiful/strong. Facial looks can diminish, that shape/figure/endowment could fade with time. But, the inner beauty and strength (that great, loving, kind, gentle, selfless, considerate, honest, loyal....... Heart) which only God gives, never fails!!!
Eluwilussit: I am trustworthy. Our leaders haven't been trustworthy. PMB has not been 100% honest with us. I hate to remind us that we didn't get to the bottom of PMB's certificate issue. We have swept it under the carpet. The right thing would have been for him to demand for it now and show it to Nigerians. But he wouldn't do that.
What's the use declaring your asset without making it public? When PMB is saying that nigerians are corrupt, does he include himself and his cronies? Amaechi, Fashola, Tinubu, Atiku, Silva, just to mention a few, are they better in anyway than those you mentioned?
We are corrupt. India is corrupt. China is corrupt. Pakistan is corrupt. Brazil is corrupt. America is corrupt. I can go on till eternity. The difference is what the original poster said.
It is not the duty of the president of Nigeria, to remind the world and all its people, that Nigerians are not trustworthy. It is his duty to find a way to market our country, and not to ridicule us by any means through unguarded utterances.
PMB might not know it but such talks like 95% and 5%, untrustworthiness, coupled with perceived selective justice and fight against corruption is exactly what he needs to avoid. At 72, I don't think he has any reason to fail. This is an opportunity to do good and set a standard, politically, morally, and personally.
I wish him a great reign. God bless the president of Nigeria.
Why are you so engrossed with irrelevant things? Is it about certificate? Could he have become a General without anything? Have you 4gotten this same man led this same country once? What exactly has your professors and PH.D holders done for us? This is all about competence and inner strength. And not paper work. Who asked OBJ for his certificate when he ruled for 8 years? Let's think please!
Take a gainful pain to track PMB's record and see if he's corrupt or not. We are always embittered by the truth. Aren't we broke? Aren't we corrupt? Though, difficult, sincerity begets respect and trust. Have you forgotten what Pastor Bakare said concerning Y'aradua; "a sick president cannot lead a dying nation. The man I saw on October 1st giving the presidential speech is sick"! Was there any iota of lie in that statement?
To your first statement, I'll reply you by saying; "If you want to test a man's character, give him POWER"! You can never tell that to any rational being and he/she will believe you. Have you been tried and tested? Have you tasted power? Have you been left alone in a room filled with raw cash? Mouth and facial looks no do am o! I salute people like Prof Dora (NAFDAC), Late Y'aradua and PMB; these are people who were tested and trusted. God bless Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Eluwilussit: Funny but true. Let them keep telling the whole world that we are not trustworthy.
But ask yourself the very sincere question my guy; "are we really trustworthy"? Take a good look at our leaders and conclude sir. Is it our incumbent senate president? Or the former minister for petroleum? Or the former IG? And so on and so fort..... You can even come down to the VCs, Principals, etc..... Are they trustworthy? Even you and I, are we really reliable and trustworthy? How will you and I behave when we get there?
babafirst: I love intellectual discussions like this on Nairaland but if we keep on with this till daybreak we will continue to have relevant points and relevant counter points. But are those concerned actually listening to us?I pray they are.Thanks.
Good question! But, the truth is; they don't necessarily have to listen to us. We are the future of Nigeria and ultimately, her surviving hope. This should be an avenue to challenge ourselves, learn from the mistakes of our parents, and brazen up for the task ahead. It starts from U$I!
ochejoseph: Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi: "My economic aim is to make India the biggest trading partner of Africa". Indian Economy is strong and in good position to do business with the rest of the world". . . .Modi
Nigerian President, Muhammadu Buhari: "Nigeria is so corrupt and the people are indiscipline. Powerful Nigerians are frustrating anti-graft war". Nigeria is broke and the people should brace for hardship. - Buhari
One is a leader with vision the other is a confused president
This isn't completely correct! President Buhari is neither perplexed nor incapable. We have simple foolishly allowed some goats in sheep form to cripple our economy. What do you think Modi can ever do if he were our incumbent president? We should only beg God as a Nation, to stop being an Esau but a Jacob. Switzerland is a typical example of a Jacob-like Nation.
I refuse to serve my contemporaries let alone those behind me. "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance".... Therefore, all things are mine! I refuse to be stranded! Because I'm christ's by Faith through Grace, then I'm Abraham's seed and an heir according to the promise!
Dahveydson: As I write this, I consider it a message to myself and also to fellow job seekers on Nairaland.
I can't count how many times I check my inbox and spam in day, and think - "why have I not been contacted?" - "when will they contact me?" and other related questions. I know many are like me, with this same behaviour and thoughts, but my advice today is don't think yourself into depression. It's definitely not a good place to be.
Let me make this short, To avoid depression and frustration in this job seeking business, engage your mind on a daily basis, learning something new, whether it's a skill or an online course.
Read, dear job seeker, you have to read, read books that keep your mind alive and gets you thinking, I am not talking about motivational books here, unless it's what you fancy, but read, it's a must.
Lastly, refresh your skills and knowledge daily, whether it's writing, communication, leadership, any skill you have, Please do refresh these skills and always put them out there.
PS: Nowadays, employers call for aptitude test first so you might want to pick up GMAT and get accustomed to it. I recently attended an aptitude test and the numerical reasoning part gave me headaches, I studied political science so it's been a long time since I solved ratios, percentages and all.
Feel free to add your experience and tips to what I already stated. Thanks For Reading.
You did well my bro. Thank you so much and God bless you.
Just a little addition my dear readers; "It is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth, but of God that shows mercy". Neither is the race to the swift nor the battle to the strong......
This is a very sad news. My sincere prayer is for God to please by His Mercy give her family, particularly her parents the fortitude to bear the loss.
And to you fellow sympathizers, are you so engrossed with the things of this crooked world? Maybe you are here and you even replace Godliness and Righteousness with "good works"?
The Almighty God is unarguably unquestionable; He can do anything, anytime and anyhow He likes. We can only beg Him in His sovereignty, to use our lives for signs and wonders, and also for His Glory.
Lastly, let this go with you as we say goodbye to this damsel; have you been to JESUS for the cleansing of sin, are you washed in the blood of the LAMB? If not, do not miss another opportunity to settle with your maker and get back on track.
And if you have already done this, I challenge you even as bro Paul did to the Pharisees and Sadducees(Matthew 3:; "Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance"!
benedictnsi: I wouldn't know my man ...... I may not necessarily be his beloved but I believe as a leader, the affairs of the nation should be boiling in his heart of which, anything he does to better the country, I benefit directly or indirectly.
I work had for myself
Oh sorry, you got me wrong. I deliberately used a capital H in my description("His", because I wasn't referring to a human being. Understood now?
benedictnsi: I didn't vote for PMB but I'm comfortably happy he won..... I only regret voting for a failure..... °°°°° The world makes way for a man who knows where he is going °°°°°...
You spoke so well. And thank you for making me to learn from you today.............. But, are you ultimately His beloved?
chocolateme: Big daddy. Thumbs up.. Always composed. A prophet is never valued in his own land. I know that some APC members here have started to fall in love with this man. They miss him but won't admit it openly.
Truth be told, the man has a good and lovely heart. But, he's not strong enough to lead a "sick" nation like Nigeria.
AWONEYAN: Adeyeye Enitan....Enitan becomes eniola, enieye, eniiyi. Who knows the story behind naming him enitan, but today he becomes a story maker.
Somebody's story is changing for greater height soon!!!!
I take you as a Prophet and I believe this from my heart. As the Lord liveth, I receive the proclamation by faith. So shall it be in Jesus Mighty Name, Amen! Amen!! Amen!!!
oz4real83: To answer your questions: 1. U are not alright. 2. It isn't ordinary. My advise to u is that since u have slept with dogs which are land animals, also look for a way to sleep with either a dolphin or shark and then proceed to an eagle or any other air animals. This will satisfy your urge! Arrant Nonsense!!!
Since you know it's not ordinary, (though I still stand on my ground that this story sounds unreal), then you shouldn't address it casually. No one in his/her right thinking senses will ever opt for dogs in men's stead. It's all about JESUS!
MKO4ever: Unfortunately, this message will have to stay in your profile for seven days, and I am sure before the seventh day, God would have opened your eyes to see the truth. I thank God (in advance) for his good work in your life.
This is inadvertently hilarious! My earnest prayer for you is never to die before knowing and accepting the truth; JESUS!
niggi4life: Nice one, keep it up, u are already a female dog people call biitch!!!. Perverted soul....
And na one guy go dey trip for dis kin babe somewhere oooooo....
Moral of the story, guys, if any girl no gree give u punny just free am, every disappointment is indeed a blessing in disguise
What kind of human being are you?! In as much as I hardly believe this story, yet, your psyche is such a very bad one. Who are you to make such a nasty comment on someone who's probably under a spell or bondage? Are you better in your own eyes? Only God knows what's biting you secretly.
profojah: Well, I pray and hope to be a gentleman when I get to the university. ..
PS: I don get admission into Umaru Musa YarAdua University to study Social therapy and Human PsychoAnalysis. Pls wish me well. I can't wait to finish with a First Class Upper Credit.
I wish I could wish you well. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any such grade as "first class upper credit"!
Before you remove the stick from another person's eye, please always ensure that yours is free of such. In as much as I sincerely feel sorry for this woman (being inadvertently hilarious), yet, take a good look at what even you, (mr/mrs) know-it-all wrote; "who know what she teach the kids"!
