Business / Re: Russia's Ruble Is the World's Best Performing Currency by AldrichAmes: 10:37am On Jun 09, 2022 |
Crafteck1: How’s it temporary and artificial? I guess you don’t understand basic economics. Once you earn more from export than you import - it’s basically normal for your currency to get stronger. And it’s highlighted in the article. Coupled with the fact that Ruble is now backed with gold and they’re disconnected from collapsing American dominated market due to the US printing $6 trillion during lockdown. So they’re basically shielded. The only thing “artificial” is that Ruble ought to be stronger than it’s now (around 40 to $1) officially but they can’t allow it to get that strong for now. A lot of you don’t understand basic economics and how the financial market works. Global economy is on the verge of total collapse due to countries especially the US excessively printing money during lockdown without anything to back it up. Russia on the other hand has backed its currency with gold standard and its exports outweighs what it imports. It’s not rocket science. 3 Likes |

Lol, this is just dumb fake news. The news is so fake - it’s retarded. Those are bad copies of Soviet weapons that Russia has in abundance in warehouses all over Russia that they don’t even use, lol. It would have look a bit more legit if they had claimed Russia is getting Iranian drones. All these western media outlets basically ruined their reputation with the dumb propaganda of this war and they will never recover their credibility. TenQ: This is laughable since most American ships and submarines use British engines. Rolls Royce just secured another 9-figure contract 2 years ago to build engines for US Navy. No shame in that if you can buy from a country that produces top-notch quality. Russian jet engines are known for their reliability/durability. And Russians are currently the only country producing Mach-4 jet engines. 2 Likes 1 Share |

TenQ: In as much as one-child policy due to China’s huge population has no bearing on this discourse - the policy was removed in 2015. And it doesn’t negate the fact that China has a huge population that’s 3 times the size of the US. And the US white population has low fertility/birth rates (like the rest of Europe) while the rate of mortality, incarceration and drug abuse amongst its minority population is disproportionately high. Coupled the rise in homosexuality. So, the US isn’t better off in that regard. Saudi Arabia, Serbia, UAE, Qatar, Iran, Pakistan, Cambodia, Indonesia and a host of African countries (including Nigeria which uses Chinese version of Russian MiG-21 jets and Chinese drones) and South American countries buy/use Chinese weapons. Heck, in the Yemen war where Saudi Arabia American Patriot missiles and American drones have been rendered useless by Houthis - Saudi Arabia Chinese weapons have been more effective. Experience was also “limited” during the Korean War when China was technologically backward and very poor, yet it defeated the US (which was at its peak of military dominance) and allied forces. 2 Likes 1 Share |

TenQ: Not really since it’s not like they’re trying to re-invent the wheels. The technology is already out there and there are open source platforms they can use to build their own model on. Apple did the same with Intel 3 years ago when it decided to stop buying intel chips and start making its own based on British ARM open source platform. I was one of those who critiqued that and thought they’re giving up optimal trusted performance - for the unknown. However, the chip they created is actually better than the previous ones from Intel and as an avid Apple products user - I can testify that the new MacBooks with Apple chips are better than the older versions that has Intel chips. With tech, once there’s a layout/platform - it’s mostly about how much you invest. That’s basically why China has been able to make such a huge technological leap within a very short period. And that’s because they have the capital to experiment on a lot of things. Interesting, Huawei is starting off with 5G in Wuhan. And with billions of dollars invested - it’s going to be smooth sailing. China is an old civilisation that has fought many wars throughout its history and a great deal of experience. So, they won’t have much problems militarily. They might lose a few battles at the beginning due to rustiness, a bit of tactical failure and logistics. However, once they lock in - they’ll get the job done. China fought the Korean War and they technically won it. The same can be said about the US and NATO. None has fought a peer since WW2. Fighting cow herders is different from someone who has almost everything you have. There are mistakes you can make against cow herders that you’ll get away with but would prove very costly against a peer. 4 Likes |

Foreign Affairs / Re: MI6 Spies Say Vladimir Putin Could Be Dead & A Body Double Is Taking His Place by AldrichAmes: 1:52am On Jun 01, 2022 |
mach7: I like your analysis. To add to it: Ukraine isn’t even a real country and Ukrainian language is like a mesh of Russian and Polish language hence it’s only spoken in the western part of the country. The language majority of people in that country speak is Russian. Technically, the only place that’s “Ukraine” in the country is a small part of central Ukraine. The western part was added to it from Poland, Hungary and Romania by the Soviet Union. The southern and eastern parts were added to it from Russia by Lenin and the Bolsheviks. And Crimea was added to it from Russia by Khrushchev who was Ukrainian. So, in essence, Ukraine is an artificial country created by Russians to serve as a buffer. All it could’ve done is remain a buffer, to avoid problems. Russia is basically just taking its lands back from a country it created since it has refused to serve the purpose it was created for. 3 Likes |

TenQ: I get your point. However, my point is that: if China were to focus on making IC - it’d be as advanced as whatever Taiwan is making. The only reason they never really cared (until recently) is because it’s cheaper to buy. BTW, Huawei has invested heavily in manufacturing advanced IC chips in Wuhan and I believe production started this year: https://asiatimes.com/2021/06/huaweis-hisilicon-factory-to-close-chipset-gap/ Also, China wanting Taiwan back in fold has zilch to do with IC. Taiwan is geopolitically and strategically important for China to project power with its navy in the Pacific. And that’s a threat to American hegemony in that region. That’s what it’s all about - not IC chip. To understand what is going on: you need to look at the map, where Taiwan is located, Taiwan strait which is a major shipping route in that region and US military bases are located in the region. That would give you an inkling on what’s going on. 4 Likes 1 Share |

seunny4lif: Russia told them to ditch it because there’s absolutely no point opening another front in Georgia when they’re already engaging Ukraine. Funnily enough, Ukraine has also been begging Georgia to open another front and thus far, Georgia has refused due to what happened in 2008. So, why provoke them thus helping Ukraine when there’s no reason to? 2 Likes |

TenQ: Erm, not just 3 - France, Germany and even Singapore/Malaysia produce advanced IC chip. And Huawei is up there now. I’m sure you know, Siemens, the godfather of IC chip, is German. Not spending resources on manufacturing something that can easily be purchased at a cheaper price doesn’t necessarily mean backwardness. Most American planes, ships and submarines were and are still powered by British-made engines and a lot of components from Italy, France, Sweden and Germany. Does that mean American is backward in those tech they outsourced? People tend to underestimate Russian tech/scientists because they make boring stuffs but experts know Russians have the best mathematicians, computer scientists and physicists per capita in the world. And they can build anything if they’re interested in it. Heck, the fastest ever jet made for a fighter jet that saw combat and is still in service, MiG-25 Foxbat, was built by them in the 60s. And they still build the most reliable and durable jet engines in the world. So, they’re not “backward” when it comes to IC chips - ICs are just cheaper to buy. But with sanctions - they’ll probably start building their own. IC chips are rocket science - just a lot of programming and a bit of engineering. Anyway, China doesn’t really need Taiwan for IC chips - it has its own. China vs Taiwan has more to do geopolitics and power projection than IC chips. 5 Likes |

TenQ: I don’t think it has anything to do with IC technology. Granted China is a latecomer when it comes to IC tech because it’s cheaper to buy than produce. However, China has made huge strides in the last 20 years to alleviate dependence when it comes to IC and Huawei is currently one of the global leaders in IC tech. There are also other Chinese companies making IC. Taiwan acts like a buffer between a lot of US bases in the pacific especially Okinawa (Japan), Guam and Philippines. And if Taiwan ever becomes part of China - the US bases would be directly exposed to Chinese navy and China can also project power in the pacific from there. It’s basically like how Russia needed to take Crimea back to have control over Sea of Azov. 2 Likes |

Tmberwolf1: Lol, stop lying. China’s debt profile is 45% of its GDP while US debt profile is 99.3% of its GDP. And with US GDP about to shrink by 5% by the end of this year - it might end up being over 100% of its GDP. Owed to self means printing money that Americans would have to pay back. So, if the dollar cease to be the global tender - everything would return to the US thus making the dollar worthless due to excessive currency in circulation. China doesn’t have that problem. China is a manufacturing hub and it’s always gonna be richer and would survive as long as raw materials keep flowing in. And that’s where its pivot in global south and Russia kicks in. |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Russia Captures 3 More Territories In Ukraine As Fierce Battle Rages In The East by AldrichAmes: 7:11pm On May 29, 2022 |
Tmberwolf1: China owns over $1 trillion in US debts and the US has almost $27trillion debt profile. The US runs on a budget deficit every year and it’s basically just printing dollars whilst accumulating huge debts. The world is basically carrying the US like a welfare lady due to petrodollar. And if that’s taken away - the US will collapse and US dollar would become more worthless than Zimbabwean dollars, lol. There’s a reason why Russian ruble stays getting stronger daily despite sanctions. Dollar is worthless and petrodollar being the reserve currency are the only thing keeping it afloat. 5 Likes |

I thought Russia is a totalitarian country and Putin is a dictator? Who resigns in a dictator’s army? These people can’t even make up their propaganda minds, lol. This is where the bulk of the £40billion from the US is going to go - bribing Russians that can be bought for propaganda. They already bought a diplomat and a law maker. Expect to see more of this type of story in the coming days/weeks. They know the war is lost and can’t be won militarily. Ukrainians are just cannon fodder. So, this is phase 2 - they will as much as they can to see who can be bought, lol. However, this won’t stop Putin from taking Donbass, the whole coast thus making Ukraine landlocked, Dnipro and Kharkiv. I think Russians might go back to Kiev and Sumy - with Belarus holding the Northern flank. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Truvelisback: Taiwan and China are one country and even the US/UN see both as one. The only reason why there’s a lot of noise about it is because if it goes back under the control of mainland China - the US believes it will help China project more power in the Pacific and threaten American influence. The people in Taiwan are Han Chinese albeit they have been westernised just like those in Hong Kong. The issue of mainland China and Taiwan started during WW2 when Chairman Mao’s communist party were at war with Chinese nationalists. The communists won and the nationalists exiled themselves to Taiwan Island. It’s just like Yorubas from Lagos Island and other Yorubas. 5 Likes |

pquaver: This is laughable. Most of you overrate the US because most countries that can punch back haven’t really challenged it since the fall of the Soviet Union. The US has also been smart enough not to get into direct conflict with any country that can embarrass it and it learnt that lesson in Vietnam with the way Vietcong peasants embarrassed American military might and showed it’s a paper tiger. There’s a reason why the US has been avoiding a country like Iran for 4 decades in direct confrontation, lol. Now, imagine what Russia and China would do. The UK got embarrassed in Argentina by conscripts and since then it somewhat slowed down. But I’d say the US has done a great job with Hollywood propaganda, MSM propaganda, projecting its military might with printed money and military bases all over the globe, and shiny big toys. But trust me, when it comes to attrition - all these bogus crap are secondary. China and Russia doctrines were built to counter American military weaknesses. However, the US has limited counter to what these countries do best. Even the biggest hawkish war mongers in Pentagon know US and NATO combined aren’t strong enough to fight Russia and China at the same time. Regardless, we might find out soon because I believe Xi will escalate and make a move for Taiwan soon. If the US dares intervene militarily - the Chinese would embarrass American pacific fleet and destroy everything. 3 Likes 1 Share |

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has entered its most active phase, Ukrainian Defence Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Motuzyanyk has said. Russian troops are just 16 miles away from encircling Ukraine's elite special forces in a potential major victory for Vladimir Putin in the Donbas. Mr Motuzyanyk said Russian forces had not given up attempts to cross the river. "Now we are observing the most active phase of the full-scale aggression which Russia unfolded against our country," he told a televised briefing. "The situation on the [eastern] front is extremely difficult, because the fate of this country is perhaps being decided [there] right now." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2022/05/24/ukraine-latest-news-russia-war-putin-nato-food-blockade-live/ |

Tmberwolf1: China paid for the cobalt mines in Congo - they didn’t take it forcefully like US and western countries have been doing for 100yrs. You’re either ignorant or just a kid but Congo has never known peace and has been perpetually destroyed with wars, coups, civil wars, proxy wars, artificial farmine, diseases, etc. for over 100yrs by western countries because of how resource-rich it’s. Heck, a UN Secretary General (he was Swedish or so but he was from a Scandinavian country) was assassinated (his murder is still unsolved) due to trying to help Congo in the 60s after Lumumba was killed by deploying Irish peacekeepers in the country. His plane was blown up in the sky by a fighter jet operated by a western country. That’s the length they have gone to, to destroy Congo. China isn’t doing none of that - it’s paying for everything it gets. Who gives a shit about animal tusks when people are starving? Some of you are just uneducated idiots that parrot utter nonsense. In business you need partners. Nothing out there is free and whoever you’re trading with also has interests. So when you get a partner that isn’t trying to exploit and destroy you and is trying to pay the market price for the goods you’re selling - you have to jump at it. And that’s what China is offering. US on the other hand is trying to destroy you while taking your goods for free - then come back and give you crumbs when you’re down on your knees in order to act as your saviour. There’s a difference between the two. 5 Likes |

If you can read, that should give you an inkling on how Saddam was armed to the teeth by the US and UK with American and British weapons. Saddam only switch to Soviet weapons after they discarded him and Iraq was under arms embargo. And he couldn't even get a lot of direct lethal Soviet weapons. So most of his lethal weapons were American and British made and those weapons were effectively grounded due to lack of parts caused by embargo. In essence, Saddam was basically disarmed before Iraq was invaded by the US in 2003. Anyone with a brain (which you obviously lack) would know that. 2. Middle East is basically the US' playground. Israel is like a mega US aircraft carrier with almost 10million people. The US has bases with tens of thousands of troops stationed in Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and a massive military base in Turkey. So, the US can basically put a million troops in Iraq within 24hrs without the need to mobilise. Russia on the other hand, despite being next to Ukraine would need to mobilise to be able to put the same number of troops in Ukraine because its military isn't a wartime military. Again. you have no clue and you're a slowpoke who understands zilch about the military. 3. Nazi Germany didn't take Britain because they didn't want to and never even committed their strongest troops to taking Britain. The attck on Britain was mostly a feint and Hitler's eyes were on the Soviet Union hence he committed about 90% of his elite forces against the Soviet Union. If Hitler wanted Britain, it would've been a walk in the park but he didn't really pursue it for the following reasons: a. PM Chamberlain already cut a deal with Hitler by giving the Nazis Czech republic with the Munich Agreement (before Churchill got to power). There was also some sort of connection between the British Royal Family and Hitler. There's a reason why the US and UK absorbed the Nazis rather than destroy them after the war like the Soviets did. And Nazis preferred surrending to US and British forces than Soviet forces. Heck, Nazis founded NATO after WW2 and a lot of American secretary of state post- WW2 have Nazi lineage. b. All the resources he needs to achieve his dream are in the Soviet Union. Britain has no resources. Nazi Germany was also part of the capitalist bloc while the Soviet Union was an opposing ideology with communism. c. Taking Britain would've got the Americans involved (the US was neutral at this point). And that would've made him compromise the amount of elite forces he committed to the eastern front against the Soviets which would've been a disaster because he sent all his elite forces to the eastern front against the Soviets. Alas, it ended up being a disaster because the Soviets destroyed all his elite forces. ^I'll stop here because history is way deeper than what a lot of you know. You have to read extensively to know a lot of things. 4. LMAO. In the next 20yrs, American paratroopers wouldn't be able to pull off what the Russian VDV paratroopers did at Gostomel airport. Even American veterans alluded to this on Twitter. 200-300 paratroopers against 3 elites Ukrainian brigades and hundreds of NATO special forces and they held the Kiev airport from Feb.24 until other Russian forces got there and never lost it in any battle until they withdrew. And less than 30 of them were killed. That's one for the history books. Those VDV paratroopers are the ones crushing Ukrainians in Donbass right now, lol. This is a video on CNN when CNN reporters went to the airport a few days after the paratroopers took it and Ukrainians lied that they have pushed them out, lol: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b40r8RX5MoE He rushed there thinking they were Ukrainians because Ukrainian propaganda lied that they pushed them out. Only to find out that the VDV badarses were still in control, lol. And they never lost it. CNN basically exposed Ukrainian propaganda in real time. 5. RQ-7? . No, Iranians captured US RQ-170 stealth drone with EW. It's the most advanced US drone that Americans claimed were invincible/invisible and Iran captured it with EW without breaking a sweat. So none of the trash you posted is a match for the Russians and Chinese. 6. Moskva was hit by a sea mine - not Neptune missiles. Even the most rabid pro-Ukrainian shill on Twitter who're veterans said it's not Neptune missiles because nothing on the ship showed it was hit by a missile. And that corroborates Russian claims. 7. What's AWC? Or you mean AWACS? Well, US AWACS are mostly overrated and Russian EW jams it often. Anyway, this isn't about AWACS - it's about American MQ-9B drones. So read what Russians did to Americans in Syria from an American general below: The US has been concerned by the battle-field success of Russian EW systems. At the U.S. Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s 2018 GEOINT Symposium, General Raymond Thomas, then commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, said that Syria has become “the most aggressive E.W. environment on the planet. They are testing us every day, knocking our communications down, disabling our EC-130s, etcetera,” he said without directly mentioning Russia. There have been reports in the US media that Russia has been blocking small U.S. surveillance drones from receiving GPS satellite signals. https://www.defenseworld.net/2020/02/03/russian-electronic-warfare-system-brings-down-hostile-drones-in-syria.html ------- I'm done.
