Rebelutionary:

So your ilks said when Russia invaded ukraine- Its a worldpower and in a couple of days Ukraine will fall...Ukraine is still standing and this isn't ending anytime soon. Actually, the west don't want it ending anytime soon!

Now Russia is fighting to leave the theatre of war without disgrace and pushing more countries towards the same alliance it was afraid of.

NATO lost Ukraine NOW but gained Finland and Sweden....Checkmate brother! Same objective achieved! We are at your border Russia and there's nothing Russia can do!

What consequences? That Russia will just wake up and rain nuclear bombs on those countries without a commensurate response? Abegi even with the prevailing realities of this war you think Russia is even thinking of going nuclear.

Right now Russia is seeking a way of escaping this war with minimal disgrace!

Read this: Win or Lose, Russia has lost!

I don’t remember Russia setting a date for when Ukraine will fall - that was noise from western capitals who thought Russia would replicate American “shock and awe” and use its full military power. And this is the reason why they keep expecting Russia to mobilise, lol.

People need to understand that US and Russian military doctrines are different. US doctrine is mostly Nazi German doctrine with a sprinkle of old Soviet doctrine - with massive air power and heavy bombardment. Russian doctrine is mostly artillery and tank warfare deep in battle with attrition. Two different countries, two different mentalities and doctrines. Russia’s style does cost more lives but once they crush you - you’re crushed for generations.

The whole Sweden and Finland joining NATO is more symbolic than strategic since both have been indirectly part of NATO for over 2 decades. They just made it formality now. And they’re not different from Estonia and Lithuania that are NATO members. Ukraine is much more important due to Sea of Azov - losing that would cripple Russia.

Anyway, there’s a reason why Russians are the best chess players in the world. Russians are slow to react but when they react - it always come with a bigger blow. With the current CSTO meeting going on in Russia and the announcement of a dozen more countries joining the organisation - be on the lookout for Mexico, Cuba, Brazil, Venezuela and Argentina to join the next batch (Argentina is currently in Russia as an observer). Once they join CSTO - the US will cry and throw its toys out of the pram, lol.

Nothing really to see here.

Sweden and Finland have been quasi-NATO countries for over 2 decades and they regularly partake in every NATO drill. What they’re doing now is basically making it formal and Russia just has to respond the right way.

Russia just needs to make the already uber-militarised Kaliningrad more militarised with more nuclear weapons and put more nuclear bombs around the Finnish border. And wage economic war against Finland that’s very dependent on Russia. If not for St. Petersburg - this is more symbolic than anything. And it’s not really different from Estonia and Lithuania joining NATO (both are NATO countries).

The prize for Americans has always been Ukraine, especially Sea of Azov and Black Sea. And that’s lost forever.

Now they have pushed Finland and Sweden into NATO's grasp.

This is laughable when Russia runs the space station and every other country needs Russia to get to space right now.

This was the US’ last attempt:

SpaceX rocket to space station explodes after launch

Incident marks third recent failure to carry supplies to orbiting laboratory.

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying more than 1,800 kilograms of supplies to the International Space Station (ISS) broke up shortly after lift-off on 28 June at Cape Canaveral, Florida.

This is the third supply mission to the space station that has failed since late October, when an Antares rocket made by Orbital Sciences (now Orbital ATK) in Dulles, Virginia, exploded during launch at NASA's facility in Wallops Island, Virginia.

Posted a thread about US congress passing a bill to declare war on Africa last week but people thought it’s a joke.

Well, this is the first step in many. Full invasion in Somalia next.

Then the next deployment would be west Africa after the CIA switch up Boko Haram and the gang of CIA funded Islamists in the region, lol. And another full invasion.

It’s going to be a fun decade for Americophiles living on the continent. Pray for rain!

Foreign Affairs / America Deploys Ground Troops To Somalia by AldrichAmes: 3:34pm On May 16, 2022
Biden Approves Plan to Redeploy Several Hundred Ground Forces Into Somalia

WASHINGTON — President Biden has signed an order authorizing the military to once again deploy hundreds of Special Operations forces inside Somalia — largely reversing the decision by President Donald J. Trump to withdraw nearly all 700 ground troops who had been stationed there, according to four officials familiar with the matter.

In addition, Mr. Biden has approved a Pentagon request for standing authority to target about a dozen suspected leaders of Al Shabab, the Somali terrorist group that is affiliated with Al Qaeda, three of the officials said. Since Mr. Biden took office, airstrikes have largely been limited to those meant to defend partner forces facing an immediate threat.

Together, the decisions by Mr. Biden, described by the officials on the condition of anonymity, will revive an open-ended American counterterrorism operation that has amounted to a slow-burn war through three administrations. The move stands in contrast to his decision last year to pull American forces from Afghanistan, saying that “it is time to end the forever war.”

Mr. Biden signed off on the proposal by Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III in early May, officials said. In a statement, Adrienne Watson, the National Security Council spokeswoman, acknowledged the move, saying it would enable “a more effective fight against Al Shabab.”
“The decision to reintroduce a persistent presence was made to maximize the safety and effectiveness of our forces and enable them to provide more efficient support to our partners,” she said.

Ms. Watson did not indicate the number of troops the military would deploy. But two people familiar with the matter said the figure would be capped at around 450. That will replace a system in which the U.S. troops training and advising Somali and African Union forces have made short stays since Mr. Trump issued what Ms. Watson described as a “precipitous decision to withdraw.”

In particular, the official said, targeting a small leadership cadre — especially people who are suspected of playing roles in developing plots outside Somalia’s borders or having special skills — is aimed at curtailing “the threat to a level that is tolerable.”

Asked to square the return to heavier engagement in Somalia with the American withdrawal from Afghanistan last year, following through on a deal Mr. Trump had made with the Taliban, the senior administration official argued that the two countries presented significantly different complexities.
For one, the official said, the Taliban have not expressed an intention of attacking the United States, and other militant groups in Afghanistan do not control significant enclaves of territory from which to operate and plan.

Given that Al Shabab appears to pose a more significant threat, the administration concluded that more direct engagement in Somalia made sense, the official said. The strategy would focus on disrupting a few Shabab leaders who are deemed a direct peril to “us, and our interests and our allies,” and maintaining “very carefully cabined presence on the ground to be able to work with our partners.”

Intelligence officials estimate that Al Shabab has about 5,000 to 10,000 members; the group, which formally pledged allegiance to Al Qaeda in 2012, has sought to impose its extremist version of Islam on the chaotic Horn of Africa country.

While Al Shabab mostly fights inside Somalia and only occasionally attacks neighboring countries, some members are said to harbor ambitions to strike the United States. In December 2020, prosecutors in Manhattan charged an accused Shabab operative from Kenya with plotting a Sept. 11-style attack on an American city. He had been arrested in the Philippines as he trained to fly planes.

Mr. Biden’s decision followed months of interagency deliberations led by the White House’s top counterterrorism adviser, Elizabeth Sherwood-Randall, over whether to accept the Pentagon plan, maintain the status quo or further reduce engagement in Somalia.

In evaluating those options, Ms. Sherwood-Randall and other top security officials visited Somalia and nearby Kenya and Djibouti, both of which host American forces, in October.

The administration’s deliberations about whether and how to more robustly go back into Somalia have been complicated by political chaos there, as factions in its fledgling government fought each other and elections were delayed. But Somalia recently elected a new parliament, and over the weekend, leaders selected a new president, deciding to return to power Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, who led the country from 2012 to 2017.
For months, American commanders have warned that the short-term training missions that U.S. Special Operations forces have conducted in Somalia since Mr. Trump withdrew most American troops in January 2021 have not worked well. The morale and capacity of the partner units have been eroding, they say.

Of each eight-week cycle, the senior administration official said, American trainers spend about three unengaged with partner forces because the Americans were either not in Somalia or focused on transit — and the travel in and out was the most dangerous part. Other officials have also characterized the system of rotating in and out, rather than being persistently deployed there, as expensive and inefficient.

Russia went on all out attack on all Ukrainian defensive front in the Donbass yesterday and the “ceasefire” was for Ukrainian to regroup.

Donbass should collapse in a week or two.

Mind you, some of these weapons are being used by trained civilians.

A large chunk of them are also getting captured and the rest are getting shipped to the black market.

Selling those stuffs on the black market is very lucrative.

The same switchblade that have been utter useless and that is either crashing without hitting its targets or getting captured by Russians? cheesy

Wonder why they stopped talking about them once they arrived in Ukraine. But before they arrived - they were the game changer on Twitter, lol.

M777s aren’t a game changer - Russia has superior weapons with flame throwers and smerch. And their artillery is very accurate. So they don’t even need to do much to destroy m777s. Every time they receive fire - they’ll just target it with artillery, lol.

We’re talking about handheld weapons and artillery here - not fighter jets and helis that have sophisticated electronics.

Manpads and ATGM are quite easy to learn and you can master how to use them within a few days. And you can master artillery within a month max.

If western weapons are the game changer - they won’t be doing this:

U.K. Is Shopping for Old Soviet Military Gear to Give Ukraine

The U.K. is buying Soviet- and Russian-made defense equipment to provide to the Ukrainians to help them fight off the Russian invaders, the country's defense minister said.

"Large parts of the [ministry of defense] and defense attachés around the world have been looking," Ben Wallace told reporters in Washington.

"Sometimes we've bumped into the Russians looking, by the way, in some countries, looking also for some of their resupplies because...they're running out fast," he said.

Mr. Wallace said 23 countries have stocks of Russian equipment.

"If you really want to get it to the Ukrainians tomorrow morning so they can continue to fight...find what they're trained on, find what they need," he said.

Afghanistan, which the Soviet Union invaded in 1979, likely has old stocks of Soviet gear, but Mr. Wallace suggested not even the Russians would venture there to buy arms.

I think Russia will advance to take territory in Donbass with their concentrated forces ONLY to lose in a bigger way than Northern Kyiv to counter attacking UA and harassing Ukrainian TDF.

The performance indicator is not territory advanced into but territory kept.

But they have kept all the territories the held since the war started apart from the feint around Kiev and Sumy which they withdrew from without any threats whatsoever.

Ukraine can’t mount any offensive (haven’t done one successfully since the war started). Ukrainians are on their 4th mass call-ups yet nothing has changed on the battlefield. However they stay losing villages/towns/cities daily whilst taking heavy losses.

Post one clip out of the hundreds of clips Ukrainians have posted of destroying Russian tanks or helis/Jets where western weapons were used successfully. I only saw one clip of Javelin and the tank kept moving almost unscathed and the lousy Starstreak one hit a heli with no proof.

Almost all the videos Ukrainians have posted are of Stugna-P and their Soviet era AA batteries. And there are videos of Ukrainian soldiers complaining about NLAW and Javelins and their battery problems and how they’re not working.

Wall Street Journal also just posted an article that the U.K. is searching everywhere to buy Soviet and Russian weapons for Ukraine. So if all these western weapons are the game changer - why are they trying to buy Soviet and Russian weapons?

I can’t speak for the western artillery weapons and missiles that they’re sending now. Those ones are just getting to the frontline and we would know how effective they’re in the next few days/weeks.

Because they don't want to expose their military equipment to Russia

The same stinger missile us used to Chase out Russian lead USSR from Afghanistan

Like you, I used to think Stinger missile was the game-changer in the Soviet-Afghan war but it wasn’t. That was just American propaganda to claim a victory for itself.

According to US military experts who wrote reports after the war - Stinger missiles weren’t that effective in Afghan as well. Taliban had most of its success with how they perfected their use of RPGs, Igla and Chinese weapons. Those were the game-changer. People always forget that China and the Soviets didn’t get along during the war and the Chinese supported Taliban with everything.

Taliban also showed how effective they are with RPGs in shooting down helis because they shot down dozens of American helis during the Afghan invasion in 2003 including 2 Chinooks carrying over 45 US Navy SEAL 6 special forces whilst killing all of them.

If Stinger were that good - how come no other country has been able to use them effectively apart from the lousy claims in Afghanistan?

Another misconception is that the Soviets lost in Afghanistan. But after the Soviets left Afghanistan - the puppet government they left there survived and outlasted the Soviet Union. However, when the US left Afghanistan - the puppet government they left there collapsed and was overthrown the next day.

Russia is doing well in Donbas but Ukraine has started push Russian forces out of Kharkiv, if they are successful, Russian supply line with be interopted. This will affect the performance of the Russian troops in Donbas. The supply line run from Russia to Kharkiv, and from Kharkiv to Donbas.

Russia needs to secure Kharkiv for the troops in Donbas to secure victory. The supply line must be secured.

The Russians have only 2 BTGs in Kharkiv while about 22BTGs are across the border in Belgorod and are not really trying to take the city now. They’re just trying to pin Ukrainian troops down while they take Donbass. Hence those there retreated away from where enemy artillery could hit them.

Whatever Ukraine is doing in Kharkiv is basically propaganda because they won’t cross the border into Russia because they would get annihilated and they can’t go down into Donbass because that’s where a lot of Russian forces are.

I believe Kharkiv would be part of Phase 3 with Odessa after Russia takes Donbass. But right now, they’re not trying to take it. They’re just shelling it from time to time and hitting the supplies there with missiles.

Kharkiv is Ukrainian 2nd largest city and they’ll need between 40-60 BTGs if they want to take it. But right now they only have 2 BTGs there that are stationed in a strategic place to pin the Ukrainian forces there down.

None of those US and UK weapons are achieving anything on the battlefield. Their success story is only on Twitter. Starstreak, Javelin and Stinger have been trash riddled with battery issues and other problems.

Ukraine are achieving most success with Soviet weapons. Their best anti-tank weapon has been Stugna and Igla manpads have helped with helis. Ditto their s300 batteries.

That’s why US and U.K. have been running all over the globe to buy weapons from countries that have Soviet weapons for Ukraine.

To know how fraudulent this claim is: Ukrainian MOD that claims every little success and spin it into propaganda, is yet to claim this story which would be their biggest victory since the war started. Only random Twitter accounts claimed it. And that tells you all you need to know, lol

Also, this is the latest from one of the pro-Ukrainian western spooks who are on the ground in Ukraine:

Major Ilya Kravchenko says that Ukrainian forces have lost control of Rubizhne now as they were forced to pull back last night. Holding at the town's entrance now, trying to secure their positions in Severodonetsk
https://twitter.com/neilphauer/status/1524707005910462464?s=21&t=ia44xRgzHLMt5sBC-nCEuQ

Spartak, a battalion commander in Severodonetsk across the river, says the fighting is hard. 'The Russians brought four fresh brigades in recent days, and they out-shell us by 3 to 1.' Ukrainian forces blew up one of the bridges over the Seversky Donets river yesterday.
https://twitter.com/neilphauer/status/1524707157811281922?s=21&t=ia44xRgzHLMt5sBC-nCEuQ

It begs the question: how did Russia manage to get 4 brigades across the river to shell Ukrainian forces if they were all killed and their equipment destroyed at the river by Ukraine? Another Ghost of Kiev? cheesy

Those who died at the river were obviously Ukrainians but somehow they have managed to claim they’re Russians, lol.

Dead Ukrainians.

But somehow 3 brigades of Russian forces crossed the same river and Ukrainians are asking where they came from and Ukrainian forces have been retreating all day whilst getting shelled with artillery and annihilated en masse, lol.

This is why it isn’t good to get caught up in your own propaganda because it leads to battlefield failures.

Anyone with a brain can see that those pictures are edited and censored. And none of the so-called “destroyed Russian equipment” has Russian markings on them. So it begs the questions:

1. Why censor Russian failure in your own pics if you’re not trying to hide something?

2. If you control the area and are responsible for the destruction - why are you using drone pictures when your forces could go there and take ground pictures?

Evidently, it shows this is another Snake Island fraud whereby they use drone images of the utter destruction Russians inflicted on them and claim they’re the ones inflicting the damage. And like Snake Island where they have started posting tributes to all the commanders and troops they lost (including an American Lt Col and a British major) - the truth about this one will come out soon.

Russians have vindicated themselves today based on Ukrainian sources that 3 brigades of Russians crossed the river and attacked them thus making them retreat under heavy shelling.

So I’m inclined to believe that based on the censorship done to the images and the fact that none has Russian markings that these are Ukrainians who got totally destroyed whilst trying to counter-attack Russian forces. And they were mostly destroyed by helis because those are too accurate to be shelling and there are no shell markings anywhere in those pictures.

Russia is attacking on all sides in Donbass right now - infantry push North of Popasna and inside Severodonetsk. Once they capture Severodonetsk, one of the most fortified areas in Europe - it’s smooth sailing to Kramatorsk and Slavyansk.

Capturing Popasna and Lyman this week might be the biggest victory for Russia thus far in this war hence there has been unlimited propaganda everywhere, lol.

Luhansk (LPR) is almost 98% free - Donetsk (DPR) should be free soon as well. The Russians are advancing at a very rapid pace today.
