Foreign Affairs / Re: US Army Using Lessons From Ukraine War To Aid Own Training by AldrichAmes: 8:05pm On Apr 17, 2022
You don’t learn from other people’s wars by watching - you learn by fighting.

Granted CIA and US Special Forces like Delta and SEALs are fighting in Ukraine. But that isn’t enough since infantry forces do most of the fighting during wars.

The only country learning is Russia. Russian forces are making mistakes but they’re also learning on the fly and very fast whilst adapting their tactics. The Syrian war also helped them a great deal.

America would get exposed if and when it decides a near-peer like Ukraine like it did in Vietnam or a peer with nuclear weapons

Eriokanmi:
Don't mention Russia again jare. Dem fall my hand big time. Only noise, no action.

On USA and China or USA and France, or China and UK or USA and Germany...they both wouid fight a sophisticated war bro. They might not even leave their borders. Supersonic and High precision cruise missiles wouid be deployed such that, it wouldn't go off target. All targets would be aimed to street level without recording civilian casualties unlike seen in Ukraine today

Whoever has the best anti missile attackers on their territories would win the war

This just shows you don’t understand warfare and your assumptions are based on information warfare in MSM. This is the biggest propaganda war in history and 80% of what is out there is pure propaganda.

UK, France and Germany would get battered against this Ukrainian army. UK got embarrassed during the Falkland war by Argentina who didn’t even send its professional army - it mostly sent conscripts due to being wary of invasion by Chile. Yet it sank 4 of the Royal Navy’s best ships and the war lasted 2months on a tiny Island. Germany currently doesn’t even have a proper military. And France is just living off colonial glory.

Admittedly, I did say Russia made 2 egregious mistakes:

1. It should have done more to prepare for information warfare and it left it too late.

2. It miscalculated from the beginning and thought Ukrainians would rather protect their country’s infrastructures than fight. And that’s understandable but Russian intelligence miscalculated how many hardened Nazis are in Ukrainian army and NATO’s influence in the country and their resolve to use the last Ukrainian as cannon fodder.

I don’t think most of you are aware that Ukrainian fighting forces outnumber Russians by 3:1. Despite that Ukrainians are yet to make any offensive and that shows how superior the Russians are. US forces outnumber Afghan farmers by 5:1, yet they couldn’t win in that country. The Russians started with shock and awe to blitz Ukrainians and make them surrender to protect their cities - with VDV landing near Kyiv. And since that didn’t work - they have reverted to war of attrition and are doing exceedingly fine by methodologically smashing the Ukrainian to bits.

Funnily enough, they’re not even fighting just Ukrainians - they’re also fighting NATO. Ukraine is littered with Special Forces from all NATO countries and their intelligence agencies including CIA and MI6.

Also, this is the minimal civilian casualties you would get in a war of attrition. America killed more 10x more civilians in Libya than Russia has killed in Ukraine. America killed 20x more civilians in Fallujah in Iraq alone than Russia has killed thus far. America doesn’t care about civilian live - they kill everything moving. And precision bomb is a ruse - you can never get perfect coordinates with bombs.

This is the biggest war since WW2 (Ukraine is the 2nd biggest country in Europe with the 2nd biggest military only 2nd to Russia in both cases). When you put it in that context - you’ll get a clearer picture. And Russia isn’t even fighting a full blown war with Ukraine - in a full blown war, it would have levelled Ukraine with its firepower.

What’s “special ops” in this context? Or are you alluding to special forces?

If it’s the latter - Apache isn’t the only attack Helis the Americans have, they’ve different ones, including the one on this thread (which is more advanced than Apache).

Also, Americans mostly use Chinook for their special forces.

Bro it also comes with other incentives

1 example being 2000APKWS

Also Western arms give you their money's worth

$1billion on Helis in a country as poor as Nigeria and a 4th rate military isn’t worth it. They just need a decent one.

With $1billion - they can get 40 Russian Su-30 fighter jets which are 3.5gen jets. Or get either 12 Gripen Jets or 30 Russian Su-34. And all these would be more effective against Boko Haram because they can’t shoot any of them down. You need modern SAM batteries to be able to trouble them.

What money’s worth from something that can be shot down by anyone with RPG? Western arms are very expensive and grossly overrated. Most of you watch too much movies and western countries bullying farmers in Iraq and Afghanistan. Against half-decent countries - they’re just as vulnerable.

Argentina sunk 2 British destroyers and 2 Frigates during the first Falkland war with ordinary anti-ship missiles. Serbia shot down a US stealth jet (proclaimed by the US as invisible) and damaged another one beyond repair with obsolete SAM during the Balkan war. Wait till they fight countries that can shoot back to see how vulnerable western arms are.

have you heard of the apache long bow AH

This one is better and more advanced that Apache. It’s a better version of Russian Ka-52.

Apache is the US equivalent of Russian Mi-28 and European Tiger Heli.

BTW, the US lost about 15 Apaches to RPGs in Iraq. That’s the thing about helis - they’re very vulnerable and not worth spending a fortune on. You can always get cheaper ones that do the same job. You don’t need expensive and the most modern ones.

The press statement that came with the sale is attached below (read the last sentence).

Nigeria is a stupid country. This purchase is just pure lunacy. There are cheaper alternatives out there that cost a fraction and can do the same job.

The rest of the money should have been spent on artillery and light tanks. Artillery is the king of war and if they’re serious about destroying BH - all they need is artillery (which they don’t have) and it won’t take them 3months to wipe out Boko Haram.

But they opted for shiny crap that cost an arm and external intrusion. And RPGs would blow all of them out of the sky soon.

During the closing months of the United States' involvement in the Vietnam War, the Marine Corps embarked the AH-1J SeaCobra assigned to HMA-369 (now HMLA-369) aboard Denver, Cleveland, and later Dubuque, for sea-based interdiction of the Ho Chi Minh Trail in North Vietnam in the vicinity of Hon La (Tiger) Island. These were termed Marine Hunter-Killer (MARHUK) Operations and lasted from June to December 1972.

So you say..........

The attack helis Nigeria just bought from the US (AH-1Z) are the most modern/advanced American helis and the best the US has to offer. But it came with conditions that the US government would’ve access to Nigeria whenever they want. America just doesn’t sell these things without certain conditions.

I honestly don’t know why Nigerian leaders are so stupid. They basically bought helis they don’t need at a ransom with tough strings attached to it. It’s basically like living in a rented house while buying a Rolls Royce with your freedom attached to it.

Based on the state of the Nigerian armed forces - they’re better off with Russian Mi-28 or the South African helis. And those would’ve cost them just a fraction of this crap (not more than $80-100m) and would still do the same job whilst maintaining Nigeria’s freedom.

Who’re they fighting with these helis? Helis aren’t even that reliable and even the most advanced one can get shot down by a RPG.

Just utter useless.
Foreign Affairs / Russian Forces Capture A US 3-star General In Mariupol by AldrichAmes: 8:30pm On Apr 05, 2022
Our sources on the ground report that the last two helicopters trying to evacuate foreign VIPs from Mariupol were shot down this morning. They were sent on a suicide mission to collect Lt.General Coultier, who was, we are told, hiding in a huge industrial complex with some Special Forces staffers and about 30 Ukrainian Army, not Azov, soldiers. This hours old story from Tass is below.

Appleyard:

You have said it all. In saner climes, someone like Zelensky should be prosecuted for treason against the diverse people of Ukraine. I believe they have something on him, or like someone pointed out, he is acting like someone that has bipolar disorder. The way he would say I want to negotiate today, then ask for weapons tomorrow is enough to believe that. This man could have made Ukraine neutral from the very beginning, and Ukrainians would have been living in peace now. But no, he didn't. Rather, he chose to massage the US and NATO ploy to have bases installed in Ukraine which could have completely undermine Russia's security and nuclear deterrence, giving the US a first-strike advantage and preventable retaliatory strikes over Russia, which is so plausible considering the huge size and length of the border and airspace Ukraine shares with Russia.

As for the Russian endgame, I think the two separatists regions of Donetsk and Luhansk are forever gone from Ukraine. They will become independent, no doubt.

If Odessa is added to that, it means Ukraine would be completely cut off from sea, including the black sea. It would become a landlock country with a landlock army, one that will certainly pose no threat to Russia anymore for many years to come.

The Russian phase two will tell where this will end.

Zelensky isn’t a politician or strategist - he’s a gay comedian that was picked due to his acting skills and his Jewish background (a good puppet) - for what is going on. And the only thing someone like him cares about is how much he’ll get paid and fame. They have already made him a billionaire with mansions in Miami and almost a billion in offshore accounts. So he has nowhere to go apart from keep reading the scripts they give him.

The war is senseless and Ukraine won’t recover from it until the next generation. Pre-war, it was already the poorest country in Europe with the same GDP per capita as Namibia and people leaving the country to other countries. Once the prime area in eastern Ukraine - which is the country’s industrial and agricultural base are gone and the coast - the country would become useless even to the EU and NATO.

Yes, people always ignore Russia’s fear - which is NATO’s first strike advantage on its eastern flank if Ukraine is allowed to join NATO. Coupled with the Sea of Azov which is Russia’s only access to Black Sea. Allowing Ukraine in NATO would put Russia in a great disadvantage and the US would be able to manipulate things within Russia and easily cause Russia itself to disintegrate whilst controlling everything happening within Russia. Kyiv also means a lot to Russians spiritually. So Russia has legitimate concerns and it became a war of necessity when Zelensky and his handlers rejected diplomacy.

As for the end game: it’s pretty difficult to gauge what Putin’s end game is, since a lot is at stake and the real war just started. But I’d wager that once they take the east and the whole south - they might be tempted to take part of the north as well to crippled Ukraine permanently.

Foreign Affairs / Ukr/rus|big Arrow War: How 200k Rus Forces Defeated 600k Ukr by AldrichAmes: 10:17pm On Apr 04, 2022
A former US marine officer, Scott Ritter, explains Russia’s strategy in Ukraine:

1/ Big Arrow War—a primer. For all those scratching their heads in confusion, or dusting off their dress uniforms for the Ukrainian victory parade in Kiev, over the news about Russia’s “strategic shift”, you might want to re-familiarize yourself with basic military concepts.

2/ Maneuver warfare is a good place to start. Understand Russia started its “special military operation” with a severe manpower deficit—200,000 attackers to some 600,000 defenders (or more). Classic attritional conflict was never an option. Russian victory required maneuver

3/ Maneuver war is more psychological than physical and focuses more on the operational than on the tactical level. Maneuver is relational movement—how you deploy and move your forces in relation to your opponent. Russian maneuver in the first phase of its operation support this

4/ The Russians needed to shape the battlefield to their advantage. In order to do this, they needed to control how Ukraine employed it’s numerically superior forces, while distributing their own smaller combat power to best accomplish this objective

5/ Strategically, to facilitate the ability to maneuver between the southern, central, and northern fronts, Russia needed to secure a land bridge between Crimea and Russia. The seizure of the coastal city of Mariupol was critical to this effort. Russia has accomplished this task.

6/ While this complex operation unfolded, Russia needed to keep Ukraine from maneuvering its numerically superior forces in a manner that disrupted the Mariupol operation. This entailed the use of several strategic supporting operations—feints, fixing operations, and deep attack

7/ The concept of a feint is simple—a military force either is seen as preparing to attack a given location, or actually conducts an attack, for the purpose of deceiving an opponent into committing resources in response to the perceived or actual actions

8/ The use of the feint played a major role in Desert Storm, where Marine Amphibious forces threatened the Kuwaiti coast, forcing Iraq to defend against an attack that never came, and where the 1st Cavalry Division actually attacked Wadi Al Batin to pin down the Republican Guard

9/ The Russians made extensive use of the feint in Ukraine, with Amphibious forces off Odessa freezing Ukrainian forces there, and a major feint attack toward Kiev compelling Ukraine to reinforce their forces there. Ukraine was never able to reinforce their forces in the east

10/ Fixing operations were also critical. Ukraine had assembled some 60,000-100,000 troops in the east, opposite Donbas. Russia carried out a broad fixing attack designed to keep these forces fully engaged and unable to maneuver in respect to other Russian operations.

11/ During Desert Storm, two Marine Divisions were ordered to carry out similar fixing attacks against Iraqi forces deployed along the Kuwaiti-Saudi border, tying down significant numbers of men and material that could not be used to counter the main US attack out west.

12/ The Russian fixing attack pinned the main Ukrainian concentration of forces in the east, and drove them away from Mariupol, which was invested and reduced. Supporting operations out of Crimea against Kherson expanded the Russian land bridge. This phase is now complete

13/ Russia also engaged in a campaign of strategic deep attack designed to disrupt and destroy Ukrainian logistics, command & control, and air power and long-range fire support. Ukraine is running out of fuel and ammo, cannot coordinate maneuver, and has no meaningful Air Force.

14/ Russia is redeploying some of its premier units from where they had been engaged in feint operations in northern Kiev to where they can support the next phase of the operation, namely the liberation of the Donbas and the destruction of the main Ukrainian force in the east.

15/ This is classic maneuver warfare. Russia will now hold Ukraine in the north and south while its main forces, reinforced by the northern units, Marines, and forces freed up by the capture of Mariupol, seek to envelope and destroy 60,000 Ukrainian forces in the east

16/ This is Big Arrow War at its finest, something Americans used to know but forgot in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan and Iraq. It also explains how 200,000 Russians have been able to defeat 600,000 Ukrainians. Thus ends the primer on maneuver warfare, Russian style.

Most Ukrainians don't give a dime about NATO. They just want to live their lives in peace. It's Zelensky and his Nazi nationalists that were playing to the gallery to satisfy US and NATO policies that has created this mess for Ukrainians.

Before this war, Ukrainians don't even need Visa or cross border passports to enter Russia. There is hardly any Ukrainian that doesn't speak Russian. It's politicians that caused this mess.

That’s what they don’t want to talk about. Most Ukrainians in the East and South don’t want to join NATO. And it’s 50/50 in central Ukraine including Kyiv. The only Ukrainians interested in NATO are the ones in the west who’re mostly genetically Polish.

The truth about Ukraine is that it’s not a real country and it’s an amalgamation of different entities. The real Ukraine is just basically central Ukr - everything else was added to it.

A city like Odessa is a stronghold for communists and they have traditionally always won all the elections there. And eastern Ukr has always been Russia - Lenin added that region to Ukr. Even during WW2 - Ukrainians in the western region fought with the Nazis against Soviet Union.

So there’s no way one region can decide for a country that is this broken and diverse. If any country should maintain neutrality - it’s Ukr due to its population demographic. But these fools led by a comedian and Nazis allowed the US to use them as cannon fodder and meat grinder for proxy war.

I think that’s why Russia is also holding back a lot because it can level the whole country if it wanted to. Ukrainians also know that hence they denied the CIA attack on Belgorod last week.

Regardless, the comedian and Nazis will end up with a worthless and landlocked Ukr that would be useless to EU and NATO. Russia has take the whole Sea of Azov which is the most strategic part of Ukr with land corridor to Donbas. The just need to take the whole Donbas and Odessa to complete the cipher.

The US doesn’t play with its currency and it kills everyone that undermines it. Yet Russia is waging a currency war whilst winning with people dumping the dollar - apart from destroying Ukr in the battle field.

Funny how the US is still scared to get into a shooting match with a country that’s daring it. The same US has destroyed countries for much less.

NATO and US will always be scared of Russia. Pentagon will put out propaganda to paint a lion and make it look like a cat to idiots who would buy it on social media but those at Pentagon aren’t suicidal and they know who to bark at. cheesy

On a serious note, people like me call him a comedian because we see things clearly, without sentiments or emotions.
If I were a Russian president, I'll probably explore a more subtle options but would never shelve the option of invasion if need be. Everyone is fighting for security and survival. No one wants to be in a strategically disadvantage position, especially Russia. That's why the US are wary of communist nations like Cuba, Venezuela in America and beyond.
I already mentioned in my submission earlier that, I'll see no wrong in Zelensky's decision to engage Russia if I were in Ukraine.
The Japs attacked Pearl Harbor because for similar reasons the Russians attacked Ukraine.
The only difference was that, they attacked a superior force and got whipped!

How are they whipped?

A lot of you don’t understand warfare. Russian forces are outnumbered by 1:4 yet they occupy an area the size of UK in Ukr.

In as much as I don’t know what Russia’s military strategy is, however, I know you can’t occupy a country of almost 50m with less that 200k soldiers. So that shows the Russians didn’t go in to capture the whole of Ukr and they went in for eastern and southern Ukr (if shock and awe doesn’t force regime change in Ukr). And that’s what the 2nd phase of the war is about and they have been successful thus far. I also alluded to that 2wks ago.

Some of you need to stay off Twitter and MSM since it’s one-sided with 90% fake news. The real news is on Telegram and you can tell who’s winning from both sides. But you need to understand military hardware identifiers - to know who’s lying and who’s telling the truth. 90% of Russian losses on Twitter are either Ukrainian, old equipment from the 8yrs of war with Donbas or civilian pictures of parked equipment. Ukrainians are also using video game videos (from Arma 3).

It took NATO (mostly US forces) and Kurdish army 9 months to take Mosul (a small city) in Iraq from ISIS, with heavy fighting, just recently. Yet some of you want Russia to take a country of 50m people that’s twice the size of Iraq where they’re outnumbered by 4:1 within a week and everything else is a failure. Even during the Iraq war - the US and NATO outnumbered Iraqis by 3:1 and it was total war against Iraqis who didn’t want to fight, yet it took them months. Heck the 2nd Fallujah war where US and British forces outnumbered the Iraqi militias by 10:1 - it took them 2months despite levelling the whole city to the ground, using chemical weapons and killing everywhere civilian they can kill.

Russia has taken 2 cities within a month and are moving fast in the eastern region despite the region being the most fortified in Europe. If they end up taking the whole east and take Nikolaev/Odessa - that’s the whole of Ukr coast in the south and its industrial/Agricultural base in the east gone. Ukr already has the same GDP per capita as Namibia before the war - after the war, with Donbas and the coast gone - it would be Somalia.

Those are Ukrainian DNR pro-Russian militia conscripts from Eastern Ukraine and they’re the separatists fighting for their freedom from Ukr Nazis.

The fact that a lot of you just parrot every idiotic propaganda you see on social media shows how extremely low your IQ is.

What do you expect militias who have been at war and have been suffocated in their own country for 8 yrs to wear? You’re a cowardly fool in a country that has been lorded over by illiterate mallams for decades and you’re powerless about it and have accepted slavery as your destiny. Yet you have the audacity to mock people who are brave enough to fight for their freedom. You’re definitely an accursed sissy.

FYI, those militias despite what they’re wearing have been one of the most effective Russian groups during the war. They’re braver than their Ukr counterparts.

I’m sure most of you can’t distinguish the difference in camo, military vehicles, tanks, identifiers, etc. of all the parties involved. And have zero background of the events but you still stupidly parrot everything that has been exposed as fraud brazenly to make a non-existent argument.

If the Russians are weak as you claim - NATO would have joined the war time ago. The fact that they’re scared of joining the war is enough for anyone with a brain to know where the propaganda lies. US and NATO would take the biggest arse whopping in modern warfare if they dare join the war. Russia doesn’t even need nuclear weapons - EMP is enough.

It didn’t take them this long in Iraq, Balkans, Afghanistan, Libya, etc. - what are they waiting for? Russia is baiting them to join but they stay running from confrontation while a lot of their special forces on the ground have been killed like rats.

Don't mind the hypocrites and their supporters.
They tell you Putin is a dictator, yet Biden that's not a dictator is trying to force all other countries to condemn Russia, by hook or by crook.
I thought democracy is about choice, how come US would not allow other countries to make their choice and decision in this crisis.
They have threatened China, India, Pakistan and so many others. Is that democracy.

A country would unilaterally sanction another country, and then threaten every other country not to go against the sanction, or face consequences. Is that rule of law?

Where is the place of the UN, oh! I almost forgot, they control what happens at the UN, but Russia and China veto would not allow them to always have their way.

While so many countries are talking about finding a solution to the crisis, they are hell bent on escalating it, after all, Putin is their target.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely. For those praising the US, a time would come, when they'll start calling for regime change in countries that are not ready to implement their LGTB nonsense. Our eyes go clear that time.

The only thing that's curbing it a little for now is the fact that Russia and China have veto power at the UN, but by the time they are able to destroy those two countries, if allowed, then I feel sorry for Africans and Middle East countries.

Another great post.

Most ignorant Africans who're pro-US don't understand what is going on and what the fallout from Ukraine would've on the world. If they really do, they would be thanking Russia for sacrificing its people for a more balanced world that would allow underdeveloped countries grow the way they ought to. Nigerians are meant to be the most educated in Africa but it seems the "education" Nigerians poses is just basically about copying every mistake in the west by being unrepentant Americophiles. East, North and South Africans have been more forthcoming in their commentary on what's going on and I believe that probably has more to do with how the Soviet Union helped those countries against western imperialism. Ditto India which was saved from total destruction by US and UK by the Soviet Union.

Russia will stand tall and I believe they're waiting for the US to get carried away and become trigger happy, so they can unleash what they've been keeping in reserve for them. Read about Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP): you will understand why the US is scared.

On LGBT: I think we're closer to a civil war in the US than total American domination of the world as long as Russia keeps standing its ground coupled with China, India, Iran, UAE, Saudis, Venezuela and Brazil not wavering to western pressure. LGBT just pissed off a section of Americans with how disney want to start indoctrinating kids with the homo crap. Ditto schools trying to teach kids from age 5 about gay sex. And with inflation at an all time high and petrodollar losing its value - the US would be lucky if it doesn't crumble in the next decade or 2.

Vainglory:
The US has its Monroe Doctrine and will not allow any Russian influence in the western hemisphere as evidenced in the Cuban Crisis of 1962 but has no qualms about going into Russian areas of influence. Putin has been voicing his opposition to US and NATO encroachment in his traditional areas of influence for years and has largely been ignored. The result now is this war. I have always known that the US and NATO's plan of isolating Russia would be costly and dangerous.

Great post.

Good to see that someone of a forum like this one which is populated by uneducated and ignorant jingoists knows about the Monroe Doctrine.

That doctrine alone exposes American hypocrisy.

Funnily enough, the US and NATO know fully well the risk at stake. Henry Kissinger, John Mearsheimer and even the great George Kennan (on his death bed) warned them to stop NATO expansion further east because it would anger Russia. However, they never listened. And I think these are the 3 reasons why they opted for it with reckless abandon:

1. China poses the biggest threat to total American dominance on the planet. And to tame China - Russia has to fall under American sphere of influence like other European lapdogs.

2. They believed Russia has no stomach for a long war in Ukraine since both Ukrainians and Russians are related. And the influence they have over Russian oligarchs with the integration of the oligarchs should be enough for the oligarchs to sponsor a coup in the Russia that would usurp Putin - for a pro-Western Russian leader like Yeltsin.

3. They underestimated the resolve of the global south to bark back at the US, especially countries in the Middle East and Asia. And expected Russia's economy to collapse within a month. Coupled with the propaganda war.

However, they have failed thus far and everything they did boomeranged. And that's basically because the world is tired of the US and all its atrocities under the guise of "democracy" and fraudulent "right side of history". The US is Nazi on steroids albeit it's doing it covertly and it isn't shocking that most people who have headed US foreign policy establishment since the 70s and 80s are kids of former Nazi soldiers (Albright, Kissinger, Zbigniew Brzezinski, etc.). Don't even get me started with "Operation Paper Clip".

Winston Churchill said it best when he said: “I cannot forecast to you the action of Russia. It is a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma". You'll never understand the Russian bear and it's always better to leave it alone than poke it. Kiev is the craddle of Russian civilisation and Russians view it the same way Jews view Jerusalem or Yorubas view Ile Ife. And that's one thing you don't want to touch if you don't want to piss them off.

Regardless, have you read Zbigniew Brzezinski's "The Grand Chessboard"? It will give you an insight into why they dared Russia. It's all about China.

Message from Russia and China today is the game changer.

The west would try to lure India but it’s too late. UK’s recent policy of putting Indians in powerful positions in government won’t help because India will always remember its colonial past and how the UK looted and destroyed India. Also, Russia and India have always been partners and India owes a lot to Russia hence most Indians are pro-Russia. The only problem is the India vs China skirmishes and it isn’t as bad as India’s colonial past.

We just have to see how the dominoes fall in the coming weeks.

Is this the end of an empire and the rise of a diversified world? Russia is willing to make the sacrifices to kickstart the change. But the endgame is unpredictable.

And how will history remember Putin since the victors always write it?

Foreign Affairs / Re: Ukraine: What Will Happen If EU & NATO Countries Refuse To Pay For Russia's Gas? by AldrichAmes: 3:51pm On Mar 30, 2022
Eriokanmi:
It's normal and this would only last a few days after which things would become normal. We too suffered scarcity last month and now, there's fuel everywhere sold at the normal price. It all depends on how swift the affected countries are able to adjust by looking elsewhere for energy. During scarcity, some stations sold fuel as high as 250 naira here in lagos. Now it's history. Some people just overrate Russia for no reason. I'm even disappointed the manner at which they're suffering more casualties in the hands of Ukrainian forces. I was seeing them as big and mighty before the invasion with the cache of munitions and tanks on display as seen on aljazeera and BBC. Most of those tanks and jets have now been destroyed by Ukrainian army.

Based on your username, I’m guessing you’re Yoruba. However, based of your takes on this thread - you’re too dumb to be Yoruba.

Nigeria produces 2.5m barrels of oil p/d while Russia produces 11.2m barrels p/d. So, Nigeria doesn’t have what it takes to replace Russia. Neither does any other country. The only countries that can replace Russia by coming together are Iran, UAE, Saudi Arabia and Venezuela. And they have all refused to help while either overtly or covertly supporting Russia.

With oil, refineries are built based on the type oil and there are different types. Most of the oil produced in Canada and US are sour oil with high sulphur and most refineries in Europe won’t be able to refine them. Also, cost of production is a factor in the price that would make American and Canadian oil unsustainable in Europe. Albeit they can’t meet the demand since both countries consume most of the oil they produce and also import oil from other countries.

Also, Russia is suffering more casualties in your propaganda pipe dream of western media with doctored videos and pictures. A lot of American veterans have started exposing those lies of Twitter and 80% of them are propaganda. To know what is going on - you have to be on Telegram. There are heaps of bodies of dead Ukr soldiers everywhere on Telegram. Those idiots dying for US hegemony are cannon fodder and they’re getting decimated in their thousands by Russia. About 60k Ukr soldiers are now cut off in eastern Ukr from supply, logistics and support - it’s going to be a massacre in the coming weeks if they don’t surrender. Russians are killing them like dogs.

There is a channel on YouTube called “The Duran”: they predicted everything that’s gonna happen 3wks ago and Russian intentions. And that’s basically what’s happened. The channel is run by a Greek and an American. Ukrainian soldiers are getting killed like rats.

Additionally, you can’t get “green” alternative to fossil fuel when you’re an industrialised country. It will take decades for that to happen.

If they don’t end this war - the inflation in Europe that’s already at an all time high in Europe right now would end up in double digits thus causing a great depression and hyperinflation. And if Russia, China et al continue with the currency war and countries start dropping dollar as a reserve currency - all the excessively printed US dollars are going back to the US thus causing hyperinflation with dollars becoming worthless. And another civil war would be on the horizon in the US.

Russia can’t lose this war unless it’s either invaded and destroyed or China, Iran, India and Saudi Arabia decide to let it fall.

Never open your mouth except what you have to say is more beautiful than the Golden silence! This deserves no response from me!

You’re a big dummy who has never even handled a .22 in your life but think in your delusional mind that you’re a military expert. cheesy

When I talk, you listen.

Until the US wins a conventional war - it’s paper tiger. The US doesn’t even fight wars with 3rd world countries without tagging about 30-40countries along. And the last time it went to war alone in Vietnam - it got ragdolled, embarrassed and disgraced out of there.

That’s a paper tiger that talks tough but would never dare a country that can defend itself.

China destroyed by Russia in a conventional war? Don't make me laugh.

If Russia has 1,000 nukes than USA, it doesn't matter. If they both have 5,000+, that's enough to destroy every city or small town in both countries. Having that many nukes resemble who want bomb every City in the whole wide at the same time. 200 is enough, even 20 like Pakistan and India will take out every major City

China’s military tech and a lot of their doctrine came from Soviet Union and Russia. And both countries have a bond that’s been there for decades. So fighting is almost out of the equation. However, in a hypothetical war - the only aspects where China has the edge are manpower and drone tech.

Also, in a nuclear, it isn’t just about the war head - deployment also plays a big role. And Russia has the most advanced missile tech in the world. The US missile tech (including missile defence system) for example is like 2 generations behind Russia’s (the US doesn’t even have an equivalent to Isklander and that’s one generation behind Russia’s Kinzhal hypersonic missile). China is one generation behind Russia in missile tech.

A leader that kill, detain, jail and chase oppositions in his country is a wicked, evil leader.

If they tell you how many oppositions Putin have wasted you will hate him.

Yukos oil owner lost almost all his life fortune when he tried to join opposition against Putin. I don't know if he has been released from jail or not since many years he got arrested by Putin

grin grin

Too much western propaganda is bad for your health.

The so-called “opposition” he jailed are CIA assets trying to destabilise Russia. The real opposition party in Russia is the communist party and none of them are in jail.

Most of you think Putin’s Russia is bad but wait till the communist party get back in power and they declare war on everyone. Putin is a progressive and moderate in Russian context. The opposition is pretty bad.

CIA agents of destabilisation deserve jail. The real opposition party in Russia is the communist party. And they’re hardliners trying to restore the old Soviet Union.

It is Herculean trying to fill holes with volume, sometimes emptiness can have the projection of substance! I am glad you carefully introduced or affixed the adverb ARGUABLY before your erroneous assertion of the Russian military as the strongest in the world which could be nothing furthest from the Truth! That Russia has more nuclear ammunition than America in insignificant difference doesn’t make Russia have anymore leverage than North Korea with far less Nuclear ammunition as what is important in Nuclear warfare is capacity and not numbers all of which the three countries I mentioned possess!

America by most verifiable statistics far surpasses RUSSIAN MILITARY by every indices with a stronger Navy, Air-force and a military you can debate MIGHT be on par! Nuclear warfare is a very delicate and testy conversation, Dictators can ramble about their deployment in an attempt at bullying their way through Negotiations but even the most insane of them understand the futility and impossibility of a deployment especially where the adversary has nuclear capabilities as well! It is becoming redundant explaining the principles of MUTUALLY ASSURED DESTRUCTION in Nuclear Warfare on here as too many Russian apologists have defective minds incapable of higher learning

The military of the USA by all Verifiable statistics is by far the greatest and most lethal military in the world and this is an objective assertion! Having sensitized you about the foolery of a deployment of nuclear arsenal in modern warfare, conventional warfare between Russia and USA is a no brainer for the latter! At sea, Russia will be decimated by American Naval and Amphibious capacities the number of carriers alone supports this claim! In the Air, the US Air Force is by far king, recent revolutions in AI and space Tech and groundbreaking innovations from Companies like Raytheon, Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Space X, Blue origins and the newly established space force means American Air Force is only blazing the trail!

The weakness you perceive from America is only so because of the checks and balances of Democracy, if the USA with all its current might had the politics and leadership of Russia as currently constituted lol then the whole world will tremble at the sneeze of the madman in the Whitehouse! He is the leader of the free world and America the preeminent superpower because of the vast economic and military resources at his disposal! Why do America far outspend then whole of NATO, Russia and China In their annual defense expenditure? For outdated tanks and artillery?

American dominance is not ending in this decade or the next and this is assured, the decoupling of the global economy from American integration and domination will take as much of the time it has taken to build the system to undo it! Rome was not built in a day as is true of Modern day America and global civilization! If convictions and principles were swapped west and East and means remained the same, I am sure you will be appalled by the anarchy and high handedness in the order the East is angling for! Be informed and objective to save yourself from the embarrassment of avoidable foolery!

This is laughable.

Hitler thought the same thing until he was defeated.

America is yet to win a war since WW2. And WW2 was almost won when the Americans joined.

Shiny toys doesn’t mean much in conventional wars - tactics and morale win wars. Americans are too dumb and morbidly obese to win a conventional war against a formidable country that won’t bow down. If it gets tough - trust me, Americans will fold.

I hope the foolish supporters from Nigeria bringing up all sort of history just to support bloodshed will realize that the Putin of a person is a wicked leader who is just thirsty for blood.

What makes him a wicked leader for fighting a just war?

He tried diplomacy for 8 yrs and they ignored him whilst killing ethnic Russians. And he had to act to protect Russia’s security and ethnic Russians in the eastern part of Ukraine.

This war is also bigger than Russia - the fallout with create a shift in global politics and 3rd world countries would benefit from it long term if Russia is victorious.

Wicked leaders are Bush Sr and Jr, Obama, Blair, Cameron, etc. those who killed millions to enrich globalists and their countries. Putin may not be perfect but he is the greatest leader in the 21st century. The threat to western hegemony.

Mandela said it best when he said if the west doesn’t like you, it means you’re doing something right.

Russia cannot dear Japan or Poland. NATO Troops, defensive and offensive missiles are there including nuclear weapons. If Russia cannot take a city (Mariupol) that is in it's border I wonder how they will be able to fight Japan.

Japan is yet to recover from Hiroshima and Nagasaki - I doubt they want another nuclear bomb that’s ten times more powerful than the ones dropped on both cities.

And Japan has always been scared of the Russians after the arsewhopping they gave imperial Japan on the eve of WW2 in Manchuria (currently part of China). It’s the reason why Japan decided to attack Pearl Harbor rather than open another front against Soviet Union after Hitler declared Operation Barbarossa against Soviet Union. Poland stands zero chance against Russia.

Most of you are just caught up in propaganda and Russia’s soft touch against Ukraine since both Russia and Ukraine are brothers. Against Japan or Poland - they’ll take off the gloves and batter both countries - with no mercy. Stop conflating a disarming and demilitarisation campaign - with war of attrition where there are no rules involved.

Also, Japan doesn’t have a strong military neither does Poland. Both are banking on the US to save the day hence they’re talking tough.

Regardless, this exercise is just posturing from Russia since Japan has been talking tough the past few days. And it’s no different from the military exercises NATO have been doing for the past month since the Ukraine special military operation started. Any escalation would lead to nuclear war and I doubt Japan, a country with no nukes and a victim of two nuclear bombs, wants that.

In a real war - Russia will smack all these countries and humble the Americans as well.

An upgraded version of North korea called Russo is not an economic threat to the US.... Just know that the bulk of Chinese loans are to the US... Hurt the currency hurt yourself

Russia is the most resource rich country in the world. It will always be rich.

China will most likely dump its US bonds soon and US economy will nosedive deeper.

Look at how the all the countries outside the western axis have been rejecting the US from Venezuela, to India, to Iran, to Saudi Arabia, to UAE, etc. It shows a desperate country trying to hold on despite its arrogance. They all just need to form a coalition and the US would be on its knees.

Keep spamming idiotic propaganda - the next 5 yrs would show you what’s about to unfold. The US would probably use its nukes again when there’s no hope left as it’s drowning before our eyes.

My prediction: Russia will carve up Ukraine and take the eastern and southern parts. China will take Taiwan. And the US economy will collapse. Thank me later.

I’m done.

Quagmire in less than a month? You think war is call of duty? grin

Even Libya that had no army and zero air defences - it took NATO almost 9months.

This shows most of you think Russians are aliens flying UFOs. This is real life and Russians are doing quite well against a formidable opponent that unlimited supply of weapons.

See yourself, Petro dollars is going to die and you said Russia will be strong economically. What control Russia economy? Oil.

What the hell are you on about?

Petrodollar means dollar being used in transaction for oil and gas export.

So if you take dollar out of the equation - the country producing the oil won’t be affected since it will be business as usual. The person that would be affected is the country that owns dollar since it will nuke the value of the currency.

Lmao! Guy, relax and watch Russia become broke...

Resource rich countries with willing buyers can never be broke.

The sanctions aren’t universal - it’s just western axis. And even within western axis, not all the countries are buying in. Russia has made upwards of $20bilion from export to western countries alone since the sanctions were imposed. So by the end of 12 month calendar year - it will make $240billion from western countries alone despite their sanctions.

And that’s a country of 140million people. Nigeria has over 200million people and it doesn’t make that in a year from all its exports to all countries.

Trust me, that country can’t go broke. That’s just media propaganda. It’s too resource rich to be broke.

keep dreaming... Who will patronize a system that will destroy yours? And you think the west will go and sleep while your imagination happens? Lol! China & Russia don't want you to prosper.

Russia is the second largest oil producer in the world, biggest producer of wheat, biggest exporter of steel, biggest exporter of rare earth metals, etc. If it decides to start taking Yuan or Ruble - dollar would catch a stroke. It just needs Saudi Arabia, UAE, Venezuela and Iran to join - to amputate dollar.

I don’t even need to dabble into China because almost everything we all use - from apple products, to Nike - is made in China.

If both decide to start accepting Yuan and get the countries I listed above to buy in - the dollar is finished.

There’s a reason why sanctions against Russia is affecting the US and Europe than Russia.
