Good day house.

1. Please, I want to ask which documents should be in colored printing or photocopy when applying to UK embassy?

2. Also, after confirming ur application and booking appointment can you go back and edit any information on ur application?

3. I'd like to use the Ikeja UK visa application centre. Hope it's ok because of the user pay fee which you don't pay for.

4. How many months utility should be provided and is it to be in black and white or colur?
1. I will suggest you print all your original documents in colours as in colour looks more attractive and mature on like just white copy.

2. No you can't, I made the same mistake on my application form, but I corrected it on the print out.

if the mistake Is much or you feel you have entered wrong information, you can cancel your application 5 days to your appointment and you will get a refund and submit a new application.

3. you don't pay at ikeja vac, I haven't been there already but I learnt you don't pay at ikeja vac on these forum and from friends who have use the vac.

4. it depends on the visa you are applying for. If I were you and I am applying for 6 months tourist visa then I will have to submit 6months utility bills.
if you can make colour copies its OK.

U do not need a transit visa if u've got any of these visas on your passport : US, CANADA, UK, SCHENGEN, JAPAN or AUSTRALIA. U will be given a month visit visa at the airport which covers the transit stuff but be mindful of the fact that ur flight must be Turkish Airlines for you to be able to get the visa at the airport. The visa cost about $40.
I know very well that Australia, Japan, and other OECD countries have been removed from applying for the evisa then. have they been included againhuh

[quote author=ekpotek post=67waxThe fact you have sponsors is not a guarantee that you willl get the visa. Like I said, your chances are probably 30%. To be honest you are about to dash UKVI money if you apply. A word is enough for the wise.

at least let him try you never can tell anything can happen...

hi justwise ekpotek chloe00 and other gurus..

I submitted my application yesterday online and got an appointment but while going through the documents now I saw that I made a mistake where they asked how much do you make in a year...
what confused me was when they asked do you have any other income which I choose yes and I only calculated the other income and not my salary..

now won't this mistake count against me or can I explain this with a cover letter??

Hello House,i have a valid 6months UK visa. i intend flying from Lagos to Edinburgh via Turkish airline.Do i need Turkey transit visa?
I think it will depend on your layover time in turkey. but all the same u have a UK visa so no need for a transit visa but if you would like to enter turkey then you can apply for the evisa on arrival I think it's just $40.

I will like to fill the online form and also pay the visa fee on Monday, I want to know when I am likely to get an appointment.
do I choose my appointment date myself or is it automatically selected by the system??

reason is I am expecting some change to add to the balance by ending of this month..

This is fraudulent and the ECO is likely to detect this. Be aware the ECO investigate and verify documents. So don’t try that brother and get yourself ban for 10 years for submission of a fake document.
alright Bro thanks all the way.

@gazalito @bogolobango

I applied for a business visa for plab exam

I submitted the following documents:

Reason for travelling:
- short cover letter explaining why I need to travel to write the exam-plab 2 is done only in the UK. No other place.

- email from the body inviting me for professional exam
- email congratulating me for previous step exam pass taken here in Nigeria
- educational certificates (ielts, university degree certificate, certificate of registration with professional body in Nigeria, nysc certificate)

Finances.
I sponsored myself. So I submitted :
-Letter of introduction from my employer stating my position, start date of job, salary after tax and any bonuses entitled to, duration of leave , reason for leave, date of resumption at work
- 6 months salary slips
- 6 months bank statement. Only credits came from my salary to avoid unnecessary explanations. I put all my savings in my salary account prior to the 6 months to avoid unnecessary explanations too. So I presented only one bank account .

Previous travel history.

I had been to the UK about 5 yrs ago on a student visa for a short course, so I submitted the certificate issued to me after the course.
- photocopy of previous passport with the tier 4 UK visa issued then. And the bio data page
- I also visited the UAE with my husband a few years ago, so I also put a phocopy of the stamps on my previous passport and the bio data page.

Domestic ties back home.
In my cover letter I explained that I was able to save a lot of my salary over the past few years because my hubby was the main breadwinner of the family who took care of our family expenses.

- marriage certificate
- wedding pictures
-children's birth certificate
- 3 family pictures of hubby, me and kids
- photocopy of my husband's international passports bio data page
- letter of introduction from hubby's employer stating his salary for past 6 months, position, duration of employment
- hubby's bank statement for 6 months (he had some unexplained credits less than 100k here and there, but since he was not my sponsor, we didn't explain it)
- hubby's land documents
- consent letter from hubby stating he'll be with the kids while I travel

Evidence of home
- tenancy agreement in hubby's name
-rent receipt paid by hubby

Itinerary.
- I booked a cheap hostel (all female room) for £55.5 for 3 days
- I booked a provisional flight ticket with Klm, cost £541. I wrote in my cover letter that I'll pay once my visa is granted.

Total budget for trip was £760. Duration of stay: 3 nights

My salary is N140k. My budget was almost 3 x my salary but I had x 4 of my budget in my salary account.

I hope this helps someone esp doctors applying for visa for plab exam.
hi ma, pls do you know of any cheap hotel I can book?

ekpotek:
To be honest with you, your chance is very small. However, you can try, as it’s only the ECO that can issue visa. First you do not have pay slips to support your earnings, whereas you claimed to be employed. You will need a letter from your company Human Resources as lieu of pay slips. Then how would explain the monthly payments by you wife into account, for what purposes? With an earning of less than 100K per month, why would you want to spend an average of 800K (tickets, hotel, etc) just to go and see London for 5 days!!! Are you a frequent tourist? Do you have travel history? My brother your home tie is not strong at all. But like I said you can always try, you’ll never know until you apply.
thanks for the response Bro...
can I use her joint account name as the company I am working with and the money been transfer as my salary?
I can get a payslip and letters myself just wanna know if is advisable to use the name ni?
no be everybody wey apply get legit jobs.
thanks so much for the blunt answer. I really appreciate you always.

@my two ogas at the top... ekpotek justwise and other gurus of these great house.

I would be applying for a tourist visa early next month.
I have been to the Nigerian immigration to renew my passport but the thing is taking much time cos I have done the capturing now going to 3weeks.

@allgurus pls where I work, our salary is been paid in cash cos its an amusement park so we don't have payslips.
also my salary is below 100k but, my wife always transfer at least 200-300k into my account every month since last year from her joint accout with her dad.

now I am thinking since my salary is low, can I use the joint account name as where I work and the money been transfer as my salaryhuh @ekpotek pls peruse and give me a brotherly advice. thanks.

pls am new here, this issue is really bothering me, my agent told me he will be getting me 2years working visa in Spain but he comes back given a tourist document and after I got to the embassy at Lagos I was given 2month visa and he told me he will give me a contact of some one in Spain who will get me the working document, but am really scared is this fake or real, pls I need help urgently
how many days insurance did you book? since you have the visa already I think you should try and contact the person in Spain for the work documents but I don't think you can work without having a resident permit.

alternatively you can use Turkish airline for your flight booking and you can enter turkey on your way back from Spain I know you can easily get residence over there.

for how many applicants and how many days are you planning to stayhuh
if it's only you, I will suggest 800k to 1 million naira, if you have more is okay and try to avoid money lodgement.

cost of flight budget like 300k, hotel budget like100k for a week , then 150 to 200k for other miscellaneous...
