folmus: You know, nobody can really predict the outcome. My advice is just let your application presents you as an applicant that will leave the UK at the end of the days stated in your application. |

[quote author=amidee post=69201844]Hi guys, pls oo I have a query. I don't know if it has been answered here before, so pardon me pls. A colleague (the mother) has a daughter here in naija, but the father stays in UK with another family of his own. The colleague wants to apply for UK visa for her daughter, naming the father in the UK her sponsor. The question here is, i don't think the father named her as one of his daughter's in UK. Will Having the father as her sponsor affect her visa? Or she should remove the father as sponsor? but then again the daughter's birth certificate has the father's name written. [b]PS The mother has her visa already and they plan on going together if her visa is approved. Also they won't be staying with the father.Any Ideas please if they are not staying with the father, then why declaring him as a sponsor? just my own thought ooo.... gurus will respond to your inquiry... wh |

True talk... justwise: They gave you the visa in a good faith so don't let them down and ultimately deny yourself next visa application.
This is your first time and hopefully if things works out you will be applying for more important visa in future, so don't ruin it for yourself. |

ekpotek: MP = Member of Parliament in the UK. An equivalent of that will be your councilor or house of assembly member where you reside. You can contact your MP to write to Home Secretary to upturn a refusal if it is unjustified. There are testimonies of inviters using this option on this forum. The inviter must be a British Citizen or hold a Permanent Residence (PR) or Indefinite leave to Remain (ILR). OK boss, thanks for the enlightenment... |

[quote author=ekpotek post=68766555]I can relate with you that some of these refusal are pathetic. However, without an option of appeal or administrative review for all categories of visitors visa, the ECOs are kings here. The onus is now on the applicant to dot the i and cross the t so as to avoid a refusal. The ECO want to see outflow from his saving account to justify immediate access, then sending ticket funds to his mother is a suggestion on my part, which the applicant can do or ignore. It is painful when you’re so sure of your application only to be refused for some flimsy reasons. Some applicants are able take UKVI up using their MP. good morning boss! pls we are all here to learn... what is the meaning of MP u mention here |

ekpotek: The refusal letter is clear enough. Given your presence on this thread, this mistake is a carelessness on your part. You need to provide detailed documentation on those funds coming into your account and why are the funds are being paid into your account? Is it for payment of services or what? Clearly 2.4M entering into your account from undisclosed sources is not acceptable. If you can tackle this, then you can reapply. Also the ECO also considered your travel history. This is usually taking into consideration if your reasons for the visa is for tourism. thanks for the quick response boss... I knew I made a mistake, but the money has been coming in from the same account and that is why I never explain it... anyway na my first time be dis sha... I will surely reapply and explain the funds... thanks boss, I really appreciate this... |

Ezechinwa: Hi bro, You can always apply again, Here was what I did I received a salary of about 80k Per month from my previous place of work, I ensured I used a blue pen to make where ever I received a salary and also mentioned that in my 'additional Cover letter" I now received a bigger salary in my new place of work, I also did the same,
Always write an additional cover letter mostly explaining your financial status,
Since I had a closing balance of 80k, I told them that this is my salary account and not my personal acct, and feel that is unnecessary to include it to my application, but also stated that I am willing to provide this information if required.
My account just shows I receive a steady salary, however, I spend it is my business.
I hope this helps. I wrote a cover letter stating how capable I am to finance my travel plan... I guess what work against me is my inability to demonstrate the inflow on my account... I felt since money has been coming through the same account I don't need to explain the source. I guess that's where I got it all wrong so I deposited a huge sum from the account to my savings account in a week.. |

Ezechinwa: I added that just my brother providing accommodation congrats Bro... mine was refused.. the ECO said I lodge money from an unknown account... the money has been entering my account from my wife's account now for over 2years now but I am surprised the eco refers to the money sent from her account to mine as inconsistent also when asked while filling the form how much do you get in a year I calculated my salary and money from family members together, but the eco only saw the money as my other income and not total income. I was refused on paragraph 42 code... |

bigbus: As long as you don't need to carry both, you should be fine. Other gurus can say whether it can have any implication in the future (eg. submitting both passports for another visa application for other countries; if NIS officer at airport can 'complain' that your visa is dated before the old 'un-cancelled' passport expired; etc.)
You can still cancel. At any NIS Passport office. (Previous times I did, it always took less than 5 minutes: only need to identify where the office is, and the officer simply stamps a couple of pages and its done.) alright boss I appreciate God bless you!! |
