TravelRe: Agent Demanding N1.3M For Visa To Spain by alert20: 7:44am On May 27, 2018
innovativekalu:
I applied for a Spanish Business Visa on 27th December, 2017 and I obtained my Visa on January 18, 2017. No prior Europe or America travel history. I have only travelled to a couple of African countries and the UAE. I paid a total of N32,600 for Visa Fees and BLS Service charge. I used my company's Travel Insurance policy. I submitted my application at The Spain Visa Application Center at

SELINA HOUSE
4 IDOWU MARTINS STREET,
OFF ADEOLA ODEKU STREET,
VICTRIA ISLAND LAGOS

Documents submitted are as below:

Letter of Invitation from my company hosting the meeting in Spain
Letter of Introduction from my company
Self Introduction Letter
Travel Insurance Policy Document
Schengen Visa Application Form
6 months Bank account statement
Bank Reference letter
salary payslip
employment letter
Flight Reservation
Hotel Reservation

I am glad they granted me the Visa. Thanks to nairalanders who have been of indirect assistance via helpful comments.
hi Bro,

I assume you are in Spain now...
pls the hotel reservations you used, was it paid for or just reservation because on the bls website it says they don't want email hotel bookings?

Hello house. Please I am applying to visit the UK for an exam next month. 1st timer. Can I use a 4-month account statement of closing balance of about 600k? Note: I am also making use of a sponsor whose account statement is of 6 months and closing balance is very sufficient. My proposed total expenses can't surpassed 350k for a 3 day visit.
1. it's not adviceable to use 4months statement of account.
2. how old are you??

Ok, so a summary of my application process. After applying for the first time last year and having to withdraw my application because I needed my passport for another trip and it had been with UKVI for 2 months and no decision was reached, I was a bit wary to apply this time around. I applied on the 18th of April. This time around I ensured I tries as much as possible to make things easy for them with a detailed cover letter. I spoke about my interest in going there, I explained inflows above N200k into my account that were not my salary (hence could not be seen on my attached payslips). I also documented reasons why I would definitely come back to Nigeria. I don't have landed property but I stated thatbi would definitely come back to meet my husband and that I have a good job here e.t.c.i also stated that as shown in the photocopies of my passport pages which I attached, I had always come back to Nigeria within the stipulated time in all my previous travels. I picked up my passport with the visa on the 10th of May, exactly 3 weeks after the application with the 6 months visa.#UKfirst timer. I dont know what worked but I am glad to have my passport back without any delays this time around.
congratulations...

be careful and dont rush things, In ur application , you were asked a simple but trickish question that will you be travelling with anyone and you said...NO. my advice for you is to go alone first and return to nigeria.... after that you have no wahala. apply for your fsmz yhen
@askari01 I agree with you...
because while filling the form the OP was asked if he will be travelling with anyone which I am sure he chooses NO.

I think that will depend on your age bracket.. if you are above 25yrs I wouldn't advice you to use a sponsor...
yes your statement of account is also a good tie to your home country.

Actually what he meant was that hope he has higher chances since he’s using the ikeja VAC and they don’t pay as much as the V.I vac, he’s thinking will it affect his chances , I intentionally didn’t answer the question because the extra money he’s paying in VI or intends to pay there is for TLS and not the consulate. The difference in fees doesn’t affect anything. Before the ikeja centre was the one paying extra 85 dollars or so before it shifted to V.I
oh I see thanks Chloe..
